So disgusted with the way things were being run, claiming the republic was a game of thrones, Vahlgellan called out for the people of the Republic tired of such things to follow him into a NEW Clan, the Clan of the Kraken, one that would stand alone outside of the Republic. On Sunday June the 4th of the year 33 the son of Elianos was booed off the stage and no one followed his rallying cry.
General Firuell Aurik was sent to arrest Vahlgellan. When the former Ranivor refused to accept arrest, Firuell announced the Republic was at war with the Clan of the Kraken. As Vahgellan turned away he was fired upon by the general's men. He continued to proudly walk away until the injuries from the hail of arrows rendered him unconscious. He was thrown into a cell in the Bear Clan jails and placed under guard.
