Anarinuell: Gold Dragon District -- The True Temple of Zutiv

Neither Adeem nor his brothers pray as they enter the True Temple. Instead the other N'Gadaniks follow along towards Tarquin, with Adeem and Felix taking a seat on both sides of the Gold Dragon ward. "I really cannot believe you when it comes to some things, Tarquin." He shakes his head and gathers his thoughts.

Felix whispers over to Tarquin, "The Festival's a lot of fun. I found a steni in one of the couches!"

Quadion sniffles.

Tarquin scurries to his feet to bow to the noble boys. He is holding the invitation to Kassia's Ceremony, and some blank scrolls. "Hello, my lords." At Adeem's cutting comment, he says nothing, merely looks uncomfortable. Stupid, scary water. Adeem says "Come with us, Tarquin. I would like more Candles to be present."

Tarquin hops to his feet. "Not on the boat, right?" he asks cautiously. He is land-locked.

Anorista comes from outside through the great golden doors.

Anorista enters followed by 1 body guards.

Tarquin stands next to Adeem, and now he acts like a stork, standing on one leg with his other foot tucked up underneath him.

Adeem waits by the door, ready to leave, followed by Tarquin, his brother Felix, and his cousin Quadion. "Mes Anorista! I am glad that you could make it. It has been a while since we have seen you at an event. This is an important one."

Tarquin doesn't look quite ready to leave. He's busy being a stork -- not that he knows what a stork is, of course, but he wavers and wobbles in his one-legged stance. "Hello," he says, distracted, to Anorista.

Anorista lifts her eyebrows in surprise as she finds you all waiting at the entrance already -- she blinks a bit as she glances over at Tarquin's odd pose, quirking an eyebrow faintly above one aqua-colored eye. However, she soon snaps out of it and offers a curtsey toward Adeem. "Ah! I hope I haven't kept you waiting long, M'Lord, since you're all waiting here.."

Anarinuell: Hydra District -- N'Gadanik Estate -- Daylight Room

Quadion huffing and puffing alongside the group, they finally reach the N'Gadanik Estate where guards nod to their young charge. He leads them down the hallway to his bedroom, in fact. He nods his head as they settle in. "There are refreshments in our amphora from the Old City visitation. We will pray in just a minute."

Surprise! Nigel leaps out from behind a chest and tackles Tarquin down. "Got you, Tarc!"

Yanori looks at Anorista with interest and moves over to stand by her.

Tarquin trails along, ducklike. Actually, he gives a little 'quack quack' at some point as he waddles along. He settles and quiets when they're inside the house, though. "Thank you, Lord Adeem. I like refreshments." Even if he fears they're all Hydran-approved and not sweet. He starts to take something when gaaaaah! He goes down in a tumble, crying out in alarm.

Tarquin shouts, "Aieeeeeee!"

Adeem says "Nigel! Get off of him!"

Tezzer comes into the N'Gadanik Estate -- Daylight Room from another area.

Anorista follows along quietly with her hands together infront of her waist, fingers delicately touched together over one-another; when Tarquin is tackled, Anori turns in surprise on one heel, her eyes widened and her eyebrows lifted in a look of shock. Her lips part faintly, but she draws them back together tightly before saying anything.

Tarquin is underneath Nigel, having been recently tackled, by surprise.

Adeem glances up at his brother and then back to his gather of the faithful and continues with his meeting, waiting for Nigel to do as he's told.

"Fine, Froggy!" Nigel gives Tarquin two-for-flinching and helps the boy up. Tezzer enters briskly. "Inside voices," he reminds. It sounds like he's used to having to remind certain of his brothers of such matters. "Please keep the tackling for playtime, Nigel."

Tarquin looks a little emotionally wounded, not physically wounded, as he scrambles to his feet. When he sees Tezzer standing there he bows unsteadily. "Yes, my lord," he says, looking down at the floor. "I'm sorry I yelled."

"Very well. Let us pray. God, in whom we place all of our worship alone, we ask that Your Divine Guidance be with us now at this very special time. Grant us discernment as well as the wisdom to follow your commandments. Be with the Festival now, granting it peace and calm. Strike down any who would dare disturb the tranquility as You have done in the past, Almighty Lord Zutiv. Amen."

Anorista turns her head slightly toward Tezzer when the others acknowledge him; she bites her lip a bit, and takes on a guilty expression when she turns to curtsey, even if it doesn't appear she's done any giving or receiving of tackling.

Anorista closes her eyes for a minute as if in prayer. Adeem closes his eyes for a minute as if in prayer. Tezzer closes his eyes for a minute as if in prayer. Tarquin closes his eyes for a minute as if in prayer.

Tarquin has a roof over his head. He says a quiet prayer. And then, he points out one of the drawings here to Tezzer. It's the one of the sinner being struck down. "I drew that picture, my lord."

"Having thus opened our meeting with prayer, as is our practice, I have three announcements to make. They are the subject of this meeting, not snowball fights, or rumors of running amuckedness, or anything else. The first is the creation of a new position, the next is an announcement of a replacement for a position." Adeem stops. "Those are the second and third ones. The first is that I will be having my Ceremony of Souls within the next six days, God willing." Adeem glances towards the bust of Ojitar, nodding to it as well. Adeem [then] blinks [for the bust is missing].

Tarquin slides a glance over to Tezzer. It seems to make him a little nervous to have the adult in the room, now. He tries to pay attention to Adeem, though, nodding at the bit about the Ceremony, which is nothing new to him.

"Oh the Inquisition is gonna start!" Nigel says with laughter and gives a meaningful glance to Tarquin.

Tezzer looks at it as is expected. "I see you put a great deal of thought and time into this, Tarquin."

"The second point is that I am now officially establishing a-" He clears his throat. "It is a wonderful work of art, but we must stay on track."

"I drew that picture because I thought Lord Adeem would like it," Tarquin explains. Sinners being struck down from above seems like something that Adeem would be fond of. "I drew a lot of pictures, for the Old City people." Oops. On track. He puts a hand over his mouth.

Adeem nods his head silently.

Adeem says "I am now officially establishing the position of Advisor to the Candles of Zutiv. The Advisor will be an adult who will provide assistance and advise to the Candles organization. Oversight of the Candles will still remain with His Holiness and the actual leadership provided by the Chief Candle Holder."

Tarquin asks, automatically, "Are you going to be the Advisor, Lord Adeem?" It makes sense to him. Adeem knows all about the Candles, after all.

Adeem gives a tacit nod to this.

Adeem says "Finally," Adeem looks around to Tezzer, Nigel, Anorista, Yanori, Quadion, and Felix. And then Tarquin. "By the power invested in me as Founder and Chief Candle Holder I hereby appoint Tarquin of the Gold Dragon Clan, Ward of Lady Firgalik my successor as Chief Candle Holder, to assume command following my Ceremony of Souls.""

Adeem cheers Tarquin!

Tarquin looks a little stunned to hear this. Also, a little worried. That's plain to see on his expression. He gives an uncertain nod, but then tries to act a little more confident, standing up straighter. "Yes, my lord. I'll work really hard at it."

Anorista turns her head toward Tarquin when he's address -- she watches silently, and then smiles a bit. She gives a soft little clap or two of her heads, quietly.

Anorista cheers Tarquin! Nigel kicks one of Adeem's chests, muttering something. Felix cheers Tarquin! and then moves up to pat him on the back excitedly.

Adeem hugs Tarquin. Adeem says "Remember, it is only by God, that we can accomplish anything. If you feel powerless, turn to our chief weapon: prayer. Now, let us sing as we do at the end of every meeting."

Adeem lifts his head and voice to the sky to sing the praises of Zutiv so that all might hear of his great blessings upon Adeem's family.

Tarquin feels a little better with the cheering. He tries not to worry over Nigel's temper tantrum either. Maybe there will be an assassination attempt! Or overthrowing the Candle Head. Ah, but singing, he luckily doesn't have to say anything, because he can sing.

Tarquin sings a wonderful song of love and praise. Every note reaching high to the heavens and into the hearts of those around.

Anorista lifts her voice up to the sky in hopes of praising Zutiv, but her is perhaps so overcome with humility that the words simply won't come.

Tarquin lifts his head and voice to the sky to sing the praises of Zutiv so that all might hear of his great blessings upon Tarquin's family.

Adeem sings the seven steps to Renewal in "Renew me Again", his voice high and lilting. All the steps are there, and in the correct order, the tune holding his audience and reaching up to hit the high notes extremely well.

Tarquin sings better than Anorista, but she's a girl.

Anorista tries to sing the seven steps to Renewal in "Renew me Again", however she doesn't manage to quite get it right. All the steps are there, and in roughly the right order, but the tune is all over the place, and her voice cracks several times in the high parts. Adeem waits for the singing to die down. "There are refreshments in the amphora."

Anorista hangs her head a bit after her several failed attempts -- a blush stains her cheeks, and she draws her lips together tightly, bringing her hand up to cover her mouth. Mnph.. How embarassing.

Tarquin grabs something without looking. He ends up with a /fish/ cake, yuck! But he manages not to make a face as he eats it. "I like singing," he says happily.

Tarquin tries to sing the "Ferret Song" but they flail and forget the melody. "So do I!" claims Felix happily. Anorista shifts a bit on her heels, looking down. "I'm.. not very good at singing, I'm afraid..!"

Nigel sings the Adan Festivalia, dancing around the room and then leaping on Adeem's bed to do a flying Mageeran Fist at Tarquin! But he misses and down he goes. He takes Quadion down with them. Adeem gives a swift kick to Quadion.

Adeem says "What is that, Mes Anorista? We have all been given different strengths by God. Singing is then perhaps not one of them, but then it is up to you to develop it. My voice is not very well suited to singing."

Tarquin tries singing something that is not, technically, a religious song, insofar as ferrets are not servants of Zutiv. And oh no! More attacks. He remembers not to yell this time, but dives to the side, bumping into Anorista inadvertantly. Thunk.

Adeem says "Have you seen my-, correction: 'our' bust of His Honor Clan Leader Ojitar, Tezz?"

Adeem sings the Spider song hitting all the wrong notes, making the children cover their ears and cry.

Anorista smiles a bit, and bows her head. "I suppose it'd be good to try to work on it.. I'll have to see if I can make time for it.. Thank you."

Adeem sings the Cook's Lament song with a humorous slant, making those around him smile.

Tezzer shakes his head. "Not lately. Check the main room, maybe?"

Adeem lets his ferret run loose. It heads straight for Yanori.

"Nooooooooo!" She leaps into her heroic cousin Tezzer's arms.

Nigel snickers at something and then points at Sariben and Anorista to Quadion, who laughs so much a little snot trickles down the side of his face. "Anorista the Ballista and Tarc the Narc." Adeem says "I will check later. This is my favorite painting."

Anorista lifts her eyebrows a bit as she looks toward Nigel, a frown crossing her lips. "A w-what..?" She says, tensing up slightly. "Ballista..?"

Tarquin listens to the songs, carefully, trying to learn the words to the more amusing ones. Like the cook song. "Uh oh. Lord Adeem, I have to get home to clean the kitchen up, that was one of my chores today."

Tezzer manfully braces himself as soon as the ferret comes out, and gathers his cousin close. "Adeem," he says, "Be nice to Yanori. And Nigel, mind your manners."

Adeem says "Very well. We will see you out. If you would like a little more song practice, Mes Anorista, I will be happy to teach you. As you know, Lord Zutrik, our Song Master, had his Ceremony recently..."

"I will, Tezz! I'm not like Froggy!" Nigel calls out, racing ahead to the hallway. You step back out into the hallway.

Anarinuell: Hydra District -- N'Gadanik Estate -- Entry Foyer

Adeem is followed by Tarquin and Anorista.

Tarquin bows in parting to Adeem and the other N'Gardiniks. "Bye bye, my lords," he says, and turns to run off home. Nigel points the door out to Tarquin, "The door is this way." Tarquin has left. Adeem punches Nigel. "Stop being so mean to Tarquin." Anorista bows her head toward Adeem, and then curtseys. "It's been nice! I should probably get going, M'Lord.. but I'll make sure to consider taking you up on that offer. Thank you!"
