LORD ADRASTUS ISTA BARUN

A Chimeran nobleman, and a Republic judge of some renown, Lord Adrastus Ista Barun surprised some by becoming head of the Ista Barun family following his father's death instead of his elder brother. Although Lord Adrastus' most remembered act was perhaps his scandalous marriage, as he married the former whore (and at the time on the verge of being far too obviously pregnant) Lady Aldrissa Ista Aldrik, in general Lord Adrastus always sought to further his family's position.

Lord Adrastus, however, turned out to be rather too focused on his family's status. When Lord Proxy Sabinus Rissik went missing following his marriage, Lord Adrastus saw his chance and embarked on a plot to seize leadership of the Chimera clan, seeking the aid of his wife's family, the Ista Aldriks, in his plot. Unfortunately for Lord Adrastus, Lord Sabinus' disappearance turned out to have been largely engineered by Lord Sabinus and Lady Fidelia Ista Aldrik in order to catch Lord Adrastus in an act of blatant treachery. Caught, arrested, and tried, Lord Adrastus was executed for treason by Clan Leader Akinita, on Oct 18, 23 A.U. Surprisingly enough, the position as head of the Ista Barun family then passed to his widow, Lady Aldrissa, as a reward for her loyalty.
