Overview
Albel, orginally a Gold Dragon Smith, is now a Chimeran Smith, and trainee Dog Breeder/Trainer. He owns a shop in the clan district, an is currently the Administrator of the Chimeran Communal Farm. He overlooks the goings on of the Farm, and gives people a place to stay, and food to eat, in return for a little work at the farm, in various ways. He seems to be a kind enough man, as long as you don't rile him, and tends to stick to himself, and his friends most of the time. Not many know him well, in fact, one would be lucky to know anything of him, other than his present life, and even alot of that is shadowed in darkness, as much as he is, most of the time. Many look at him with a frown, due to the constant wearing of black leathers, even in winter, and many believe that his behavior, the wolfish act, is stupid. Luckily, they do not let Albel know this, for they would most certainly regret it.
Albel is generally a independant man, and does his work humbly, keeping his peace with everyone, mostly, and goes about working his days away, earning money for himself and his sponsor, Current Acting Queen, Princess Katriana. Her sister, Lady Rasha, is his mentor. He almost always travels with his hounds, currently just two, most of the time, and spends his spare time hunting, or residing at an inn. The rest of the time he can be found in the forge, or is just no-where to be found. Mystery cloaks this man in more ways than one, and it sets people on edge that they can't place much of his past.
Early History
Not much is known of Albel and his past, whatever has gone on in his life, he either doesn't want to talk about, or just simply doesn't like telling everyone he meets. He is quiet when people ask him, and responds very vaguely, and apparantly, no-one really knows why he came to the city, other than that he wanted to begin a new life, in a bigger city, with more freedom, and to search for what everyone believes he is looking for. Though no-one knows WHAT he is looking for.
Recent History
Albel came to Anarinuell and set up his business as a Gold Dragon, selling on commision, his weapons and armor, and jewelery to those that wished to buy it. He was fairly succsessful, even with rumours that he didn't believe that Zutiv was the only god, yet he was a Gold Dragon, and apparantly, one by birth. He changed from being a Gold Dragon, to a Chimeran, and from there has been more succsessful. He keeps to himself, and is cloaked in as much mystery, as always, and has been working his way up in reputation among those of the city, and seems to be a decent, but vaguely known about figure in society.
Personality & Beliefs
Albel strives to be something, and that usually motivates everything he does, because his life before coming to Anarinuell was full of tragedies. He is looking for something in life, but whether he knows what it is, is unknown to most. He has a tendency towards rougish and mischevous behaviour which can result in him presenting an immature impression, but he is obviously far from that point of mind, when he needs to be. Albel has always possesed an intellect superior for his age, and that shows true in most of his decisions, and work. He can be sly when needed, but hardly ever uses this for personal gain, and selfish reasons, though he is not totally selfless, either. When things get too much, Albel prefers to spend time alone, or with an animal companion out in the open somewhere to ponder his feelings and thoughts. At times, he seems to go dark, void of emotion and thought, and does what he wishes, and cares for nothing during that time, but this tends not to happen often. One or two people may earn a place in Albel's life which he will put before his own, and do almost anything to protect and aid them. He holds a respectful distance to nobles and their business, prefering to stick to his own social class where he is more comfortable, but he is not rude when around the upper-classes. He finds many things out with his keen senses, and uses what he knows to his advantage, in helping others, and himself. Albel tends to show a very Wolfish behavior, in almost everything he does. One might believe this to be some sort of insanity, but perhaps no-one really knows why this is. It varies from his fine cut features showing animalistic looks, to the way he speaks and acts, to his obsession with the animal.
Ranks & Offices
Albel is the Adminstrator of the Chimeran Communal Farm, and deals with the daily workings of the farm, from managing workers, and employees, to looking after the horses, as a excellent Farrier and Animal Handler.
Family Life
Albel tends to keep himself to himself, alot of the time. Apparantly, he has unofficially adopted Ziya as his sister, and they get on alright. It is a humorous relationship, mostly, but they seem to get along okay. He doesn't have any parents, that anyone really knows about, nor children. He has been married, before, in the city, but was divorced due to some thing or another. One would have to ask him why, probably, but do they -really- want to do that? He is an uncle now, thanks to Ziya and Kamnester, and is somewhat interested in the baby. He has been seen, already, carrying it around a few times.
Siblings
Ziya -- Ziya is Albel's unofficially adopted sister, a Gladiator, The Tempest. Albel treats her just like a sister, and gets just as irritated with her at times, too. He is generous, though, and has even given away one of his hounds, to her, and keeps his eye, to make sure all is well with her.
Aeryn -- Albel's sister, an almost exact image of Albel, but female, and the like. No-one knows much about her, save her name, because Albel was talking about her, and hoping he'd see her again. He hasn't spoken to her in some 8 years, and has sent many a message to contact her. No reply.
Marriage
Marriage? No, Albel is not married, currently. Apparantly, he was married to a Mes Caralyn, in the city, a year or so back, but got a divorce some 6 months later. What happend? Dunno, why don't you ask him?
Children
Albel has no Children, at this current time. Or Cubs, as he tends to call them, to the irritation of many mothers and fathers around him. Or general people. He has rumours floating around that he thinks his hounds are his Cubs... maybe he is insane. Though these are most likely to be exaggerated. Though no-one will disagree he doesn't treat them with extreme care, and experience, and is a talented Animal Handler.
Accomplishments & Successes
Sponsoree -- Albel is a sponsoree of the Current Acting Queen, Princess Katriana. Is this really a accomplishment? Well, maybe not, but he is extremely proud to serve her, but doesn't show off or anything.
Administrator -- Albel is the Administrator of the Chimeran Communal Farm. After being reccomended, he decided he might aswell apply, as the place was out of a organizer, sice Lady Rasha's marriage into the Cockatrice clan, and so, he does the job fairly well, and seems to keep the place going rather well. Classes have been hosted, and reminders put out often to alert the Chimeran Citizens the place is still standing.
Apprentice -- Albel is Lady Rasha's apprentice, student, assistant. Whatever one wants to call it. He has been trained to be excellent with healing animals, and handling them, and is progressing well to become a master Dog breeder and trainer, too. He is learning from the best, so it is an honour, and accomplishment. He is extremely proud to be able to learn this from Lady Rasha.
Scandals & Failures
Scandal? NEVER. Well... Nothing big, anyway, which needs to be alerted here. Rumours spread across the city are few of him, but a few do tell of his behavior, and one should be careful being around him. He tends to be a bundle of trouble, and darkness, and mystery. Perhaps people should just edge away when he comes into sight.
Enemies
Albel doesn't seem to have any enemies, per se, but he does have people whom he dislikes, though he tends to just keep out of their way, and not cause trouble. Though it is known that he will react, and anger if one pushes him too far, and that, is never a pretty sight.
Allies
Princess Katriana -- Katriana is Albel's sponsor, and so, an ally, in his eyes. He respects her, and does his bit as the sponsoree, giving her all the loyalty he can muster for a Noble. She has got him out of a scrape or two, and is thankful, and offers his services to her if she needs them.
Lady Rasha -- Lady Rasha was a great help to Albel when he first came to the city, and she has continued to be, even when he became a Chimeran. She taught him alot, and helped him with alot of things as he was just beginning to make himself someone succsessful. He respects her greatly, and has been known to do things for her at a fraction of the cost, just because of all her help. She is also his Mentor, and has taught him pretty much all he knows of Animals, and hounds.
Mer Tioran -- Mer Tioran, a great armoror, is Albel's friend, and ally. They work together on many commisions, one making armor, one weapons, or both. Albel often helps Tioran out, and he helps Albel out too!
Mes Veliana -- Mes Veliana seems to be a woman Albel can relate to and seems to be a totally different person around her. His cold, distant attitude sort of melting away around her, and letting her see him for who he really is (Which no-one truly knows what this is, apparantly, but her) He still keeps that cold, distant looks for people that are around him, even in her presence, though, he just doesn't treat her with that same lack of emotion. It has been rumoured they are courting, and can be seen followed around by guards, and the hounds, in the Last Chance, The chimeran park, Unot's observatory, outside the city walls, and all sorts. They seem to pop up, and disappear into the darkness again, and it is said that most of the time they are seen, it is late at night. What will happen, other than this? Will they get married? We'll see...
There seem to be many more, but they are not very well known about, but those that look out for him tend to do so, and in return, are assisted by him, when needed.
Miscellany
Habits
Albel has a tendancy to fiddle with a slide of hair that comes across his forehead, and in front of his eyes, perhaps finding some comfort in the fact that others can read him through his eyes, which are mostly cold and impassive anyway.
Albel tends to act, speak, and do pretty much most of what he does with a wolfish personality. It seems to be almsot innate with him, and it can either be annoying, or alluring. Some dislike it, some like it, but he doesn't seem to care either way. As long as they don't share their opinion too much. The reason as to why is generally unknown, apparantly very little know of why.
Albel tends to have his hounds everywhere, with him, and even forgets sometimes when he walks into the Uffian, and Unotian temples. He gets stern words and has to leave mostly, but he knows he could handle his hounds, but he is less sure of the feelings of the birds, so does so without much arguement.
Albel tends to play with his daggers whenever he can, if he is sitting at a table, eating, or drinking, the dagger'll be there, flipping over his hand nimbly. Although some find this disturbing, some also find it fascinating. People wonder at how skilled he truly is with such daggers in combat, or is it just his little tricks he is good at?
Albel wears his hood up alot, blocking out the light that seems to stab at his extremely fine eyesight. All know that his senses are greatly hightened above the average firan, and all know that he dislikes loud noise, as he probably hears it double what others do. So, this goes for bad smells, bright lights, and sights, and high pitched noises. The hood however seems to allow him his own personal space, where no-one pries, and lets him be more open without people seeing him properly.
