ALDRISSA ISTA BARUN

Few noblewomen have ever achieved such notoriety as Aldrissa Ista Barun did in her lifetime. Born in Anarinuell in 1 A.U., she was the daughter of Gellhorn and Sarcia Ista Aldrik, a member of the Royal House of the Bear Clan. Engaged to wed Prince Sadin Elianik, it is rumored that certain indiscretions of the Lady ended this match. In fact, Lady Aldrissa continued to flirt with scandals and some say in her attempts to claim power she even tried to poison her cousin, Lady Proxy Fidelia Ista Aldrik. For her lack of virtue and scandalous behavior, she was sent to the White Dove to work as a commoner whore, by the famous decree of Clan Leader Sabine that no female member of her family would shame them. Thus she was dragged to the Dove naked, tied to a horse.

Aldrissa was a whore for two years, before, unexpectedly, she received her title and name back, as per the judgment of Lady Proxy Junia Ista Aldrik. Shortly afterwards, she got married to Lord Adrastus Ista Barun. In the year 23 A.U. Aldrissa's husband was executed for treason against the Chimera throne, leaving her a widow, and head of the Ista Barun family. No one ever truly expected her to rise to such power again, but with the iron determination of a woman born Ista Aldrik, she achieved just that.

In the end, Lady Aldrissa died because someone else envied her power and position. In 30 A.U. Lord Battus Ista Barun, brother-in-law to Aldrissa, was found guilty of having murdered the head of his family, in a power-hungry attempt to gain control of the Ista Barun family.
