ANAXOTRAN SHADINA

Lord Anaxotran Shadina grew up a rogue, and a commoner. He was, however, a Bear rogue, and when he met his love and wife-to-be, a lady-in-waiting to Princess Sabine, he courted her gallantly and with all due decorum (a bit of drinking, gambling and whoring aside). In marriage Anaxotran was guided by his wife, Endeera -- to war, to honor, and to the title of Sharanir -- and as his children came into the world and grew, he mellowed. When, decades later, the Actis Family proved its noble right, he became a Shadina, and a Lord.

Known for his heroism and zany charm, Anaxotran would never turn away from a fight against evil. Even in old age -- even when he could not lift a sword, or bear his armor -- he was driven by his passion, courage and desire to do good. To the very end he would defend his family, his clan, his Republic and his sense of propriety with unwavering commitment and dedication. And, of course, he always had a wink for the ladies (when his wife wasn't looking).

He was restless, though, and, in 36 A.U., this restiveness drove him out on a tour of the Shadina family land in Nelabam, accompanied by his daughter, Pamella. There, he met a gruesome end, kidnapped and taken hostage by rebels who wanted their city back. A note was sent to Anarinuell, demanding Nelabam be returned to the Cockatrice Clan. When it was not, Anaxotran was killed and butchered. He arrived home in pieces in a trunk, to the horror and grief of his family. Lady Pamella was murdered in the same incident.

He's survived by his wife, Lady Endeera, and his son, Lord Arnax.
