ANISH: End of the Ani River
The Gold Dragon city of Anish is primarily famous because it was the city that the Shamibelians chose as their capital city during the invasion in the Great War. It was also subsequently invaded in a separate military action, though thankfully the Shamibelians were beaten back by Firan forces before they could advance further. Though once of temperate climate, the myth goes that Queen Sabine, while being held prisoner there by the Shamibelians, prayed to the god Zin to spit on her enemies. As a result, a torrential downpour fell on the city that lasted months, and Anish is today a mostly flooded city. The old historic Firgalik palace that the Shamibelians used as their headquarters has long since been burned down, but tourists frequently go to visit the argentified statue of General Jomo -- the Shamibelian supposedly smited by Unot for burying Firan dead and refusing to give them proper funerals by fire.
