Background
Too many children. There are just far too many children living in my house! How is a girl supposed to get noticed when there are a million children always hanging about? Well I'm the best of them all, Aparasha Daedalus is my name! My mom is Dame Priestess Cyrilla Daedalus, a servant of the Ista Aldrik family. We live on their estate in the Bear District. Someday I'm gonna be famous and have a great big house all my own! Maybe I'll be famous for fixing hair better than anyone else! Or maybe I'll be a chef of far and wide renowned! My mom is well-known for her raspberry cakes, you see - maybe I'll invent new recipes all my own! Or maybe I'll become a famous painter someday, painting murals and landscapes for the Gallery of Fine Arts! Whatever I do, I'm gonna do it the best because I am Aparasha Daedalus.
The other kids don't like me very much. Who needs them anyway? Adults love me - they know I'm a sweet girl, except... mom's always too busy to notice me - too busy attending Her Honor, or too busy at the Temples, or too busy baking cakes, or too busy taking care of all the other children. It's just not fair. Why can't mom be more like Lady Petrina? Lady Petrina is always so calm, so cool - so ... not running around all the time! But she always seems so sad. It's one of Life's Big Mysteries - and Life's Big Mysteries are made to be explored. I need to find out more about Lady Petrina - maybe even /talk/ to her sometimes! Wouldn't that be exciting? And Her Honor Fidelia Ista Aldrik! A mysterious woman if there ever was one - have you ever heard her talk, with that whispery little voice? I have, and it thrills me to my toes! I simply have to know how she got that voice!
And I /suppose/ I will study to be a lady's maid, just like Fidiana, but really, it's just a stepping stone to fame and fortune! Why, if I'm to be a lady's maid, I'll be the best lady's maid there ever was! And I'll fix hair way better than my snotty sister Fidiana ever could. Just you watch me.
Description
This young girl carries herself with the bearing of royalty, with her head in the air, shoulders level, her pointed chin stuck saucily out in front of her. One might call her 'stuck up.' Her black hair is sleek and straight, absorbing the light like charcoal. Her eyes are the most spectacular thing about her - soulful brown eyes, flecked with gold in their centers, they are almond-shaped and reflect her moods. When she smiles, her face brightens so beautifully that onlookers will stop to stare.

Personality
An intelligent and shrewd child, Aparasha Daedalus knows how to use her charm and good looks to wheedle what she wants out of people - out of grown up people that is. Other children care very little for her and her competitive ways and see her as quite stuck up. Aparasha always has to have the prettiest hairpins. Aparasha always wants all the attention. Aparasha always is right in any disagreement. It frustrates children! It doesn't help that she knows she is lovely and has an intuitive sense about how to use her charms to her best advantage to get adults to believe in her sweetness, and a good memory to remember what tricks worked best, and with whom. She thinks quite highly of herself, and has the drive to achieve what she wishes out of life. She can focus her attention to the exclusion of all else, biting her little lip in concentration and paying attention to any one thing, be it cooking lessons with her mother or hairstyling or just what story is being told at the time. But she is slow to change her position on things - her moods are not wild and variable but slow. She's prone to sulking fits for /days/ when something doesn't go her way. But that doesn't stop her from being the showboat and general center of attention! As long as life's going her way, Aparasha is a happy and carefree child.

Cyrilla
Aparasha respects and admires her mother, because Cyrilla is quite well known in Anarinuell. She's a Sharani of the Bear Clan, and she's Minister of Families for the clan, and everyone Aparasha knows thinks that Cyrilla makes the best raspberry glazed cakes in the city. Of course, Cyrilla is not quite as well known or as well-thought-of as Aparasha wants to be, but that's alright - it's good to have a well-respected mother, as it gives Aparasha a head start.
Avento
Aparasha simply adores her father, and he adores her right back. Ever since she was a tiny girl, he's told her often how beautiful she is. When she has arguments with the other children, she can always count on Avento for sympathy. And when she needs a new outfit or a new toy, she can almost always wheedle some stenis out of her father. He likes Aparasha best out of all the children, but that's as it should be, because she is the best!
Siblings
Fidiana
Aparasha is sweet as pie to Fidiana... when adults are around. When they're not, sparks fly between the two sisters. Aparasha is positive that the reason they don't get along is that Fidiana is jealous because she is not as pretty as Aparasha. It's too bad, but she could at least fix her hair in a nicer way. Fidiana is content to be a servant, a lady's maid to Lady Sabiana. Fine. If Fidiana is going to be a lady's maid, Aparasha will be a better one. So there, sister.
Galen
Galen is such a boy. He's always stinky and smelly and talking about hunting and things. And, just like a boy, he isn't very careful about not getting things dirty, or not breaking things. So if Aparasha ever accidentally breaks something in the house... well, it's easy to say Galen did it, and who's going to believe otherwise?
Apagarik
Apagarik is just as boisterous as Galen, but he's also quite funny! He loves joking around and just being silly. He's also highly suggestible. He worships Galen, so he won't play any jokes on his older brother, but the other kids... Aparasha has used Apagarik as her proxy more than once, to 'get back' at a kid who annoyed her. Once, at Aparasha's suggestion, he followed Fidiana around for the better part of three hours saying Galen's nickname for her, "Fiddy-Biddy," over and over. Fidiana /hates/ that nickname, so it was a very effective way to tease her... with only a minimum of work required from Aparasha!
Aylin
Aylin is an orphan who Cyrilla and Avento adopted. She is extremely and painfully shy. She's a bit better about it than she used to be, but she still runs and hides in the nursery if a stranger knocks on the door. It makes just no sense to Aparasha. After all, you can't be famous and reknowned unless you get to know lots and lots of people.
Parven
Parven is full of mischief, a boy after Aparasha's own heart. Such tantrums he throws! For some reason, more than any of the other children, he can make Cyrilla so mad! He used to love running around naked. He doesn't do that anymore, which is too bad, because it was really funny, even if it was improper.
Tagorik
Tagorik is too little to play with, so Aparasha doesn't pay much attention to him. Helping with the little kids is Fidiana's job.
Emeez
Emeez is even littler than Tagorik. He looks a lot like Avento, and Aparasha worries sometimes that Avento will start liking Emeez more than her - since he seems to be a special favorite of her fathers. She'll have to make sure that doesn't happen.
Gemellia
Gemellia is far too little to play with, and such a grumpy baby besides. Aparasha wishes she would keep quiet and not cry so much.

Lord Zafryn Junik
Although they started off on a decidedly bad foot and face many challenges in their fledgling relationship, Aparasha and Zafryn are united on one front. The front of BEAUTY! She is fascinated by his flawlessness, and loves to make him even more beautiful when he lets her touch his hair and make it pretty. Ahem. Manly. Their relationship is fiery at best, but when they are united against a foe, they are unbeatable! Or so she likes to imagine.

Habits
Aparasha has a habit of biting her lip every time she's concentrating on something, leaving it puffy and a bit torn at times, the only imperfection of her otherwise flawless being!
Tea Time! Tea time is everyday at a set time after her lessons, and she even has a silver tray and set made just for this purpose. It doesn't matter if no one shows up, or if three nobles show up in the same day! She'll serve to anyone that comes, or to her stuffed animals, just for the practice of serving tea.
Making over anyone that stands still long enough. Oh yes.. she'll go right for the hair if anyone happens to sit down near her, no matter who they are. Split ends? HORROR. Horror she cannot abide. That color? Out of style. She's a personal shopper in training, and she'll do it without thinking.

LORD CENTURION EMPYREAN TERANZIK. She's obsessed with him in a healthy way, a fangirl for life. She sends him little gifts, makes him paintings that are no less than perfect, invites him over for tea, and does everything she can think of just to have a moment of his attention. She's convinced he will be able to help her with the Hero part of her Lady's Maid Hero goal for her adulthood.
