LORD HIGH GENERAL ATREIDES KENIWIK

Born in the city of Anish to the Gold Dragon Clan, Lord High General Atreides Keniwik began life as a commoner. After his ceremony of souls he became a bodyguard and was arranged in a marriage to Kameelya Keniwik by Lady Lucretia and Lord Argus. After a full year's courtship and winning a pentathalon, Atreides was able to raise Kameelya to nobility as well. During the Gold Dragon Civil War and after the execution of Argus, Atriedes made a speech and declared war against the "half-blood pagan bastard". Halakeye stepped up to duel Atreides. Atreides hit him once and Halakeye and Jalil fled. The Clan Leader couldn't live in his own district as it was completely taken over by rebels. Jalil eventually emerged victorious but the judgement went against Throgana, Atreides' sister-in-law and the only other noble to publicly support the rebellion to be banished from the clan. Atreides, instead of being banished with her, was made to take an oath and then put into the new Head of Household position of the Keniwik family. No public explanation was ever made in reguards to this judgment. Atreides obviously lived a charmed life.

During his career, he was bodyguard to Lucretia, performed the duel to the death of Mer Nawar, and soon was appointed the general of the Gold Dragon military. In the years that followed some of his greatest achievments were to lead a successful mission to meet with the Giants of Caldera. At this time he also began his career in the Republic military, moving up and down its ranks, eventually leading a successful military mission to Anish repelling the Shamibelians. He also had the unique distinction of becoming the only appointed Neo-noble acting as Viceroy just prior to Lord Taleo's appointment. Lord Atreides was well placed in Firan Society.

His distinguished career ended as spectacularly as it was begun at the Battle of Anar Creek. Lord Atreides went as observer under the command of Commander Omiak. The mission was to reclaim a Firan fort which was captured by the Shamibelians. The Obalan Death Knights attacked led by High Priest Balthan. Lord Atreides was in position to remove his dagger and slip it between the plates of armor protecting the Obalan high priest and while accounts differ at this point, it is a fact that Lord Atreides was burned to death after his knife met the flesh of the High Priest. Particularly, the hand that held the dagger -that arm- the flesh was seared completely to the bone. At age 34, the great Gold Dragon General, had perished heroically. He is survived by his wife, Lady Kameelya and his many children, Rogik, Corrina, Asteria, Portia and is preceeded in death by his children Zaren and Threnik.
