Official Statement
My name is Aylina, I'm the slave of Hashi Vettle, his wife Fissia is my mistress, and I strive to be worthy. I know very little about how it is that Governor Hralib came to meet his end in such a terrible way, or how the slave Throgana ended up dead either. But I do know that my people harbor great resentments against Governor Hralib--even those that he is kind to, like Slave Emma. At the slave temple, we all gossip about the way he spoiled her and let her keep some of her money as a beautician. It is said that she was close to being able to buy her freedom, but that she feared he wouldn't let her go. Perhaps she killed him to make sure he wouldn't stop her.
Background
Once the wife of Udettos before the Fall and a lady of the Tanelish family, she was previously known for her painful degree of shyness. While she grew up pampered and overprotected and sheltered from the harshness the world can offer, all that was yanked away when the Shamibelians took the city. All she once knew is gone, leaving a desire for sweetness and a willingness to do whatever she needs to in order to achieve her goals, whether of pleasing her new masters ... or maybe something else!
Relationships
- Akiva -- Aylina doesn't have many true friends in Occupied Anarinuell, but she counts Akiva amongst them. If only she weren't so opinionated.
- Dyanna -- Dyanna is some of the only family that Aylina has left in the world, and she loves her aunt, even though the Shamibelians have twisted her mind.
- Rodiste -- A man that Aylina likes to seduce so she can get what she wants.
- Anorna -- A simpering slave that is being forced to breed with Rodiste; Aylina likes to taunt her.
- Fissia -- The wife of Aylina's master is her mistress. Aylina sucks up to her, so as to get special privileges. "Yes Mistress, I strive to be worthy!"
Goals
- Aylina should have a jealous spat with Anorna over who really loves Rodiste best.
- Aylina should "fatten up" the Shamibelians--it'll make them lazier and worse on the battlefield.
- Aylina should "flirt" with Shamibelians so that she can touch them and test how meaty they are.
- Aylina should come up with the names of exotic animals to say she has cooked up into treats. When people ask her what it taste like, she should say it tastes like goat!
- Aylina should seduce her clients by telling them how good they smell, or how good they taste.
- Convince Fissia that butter wouldn't melt in your mouth

Aylina Round One
Round One Reveal
Everyone knows that Tabitha is a popular, but fickle, bachelorette. Many Shamibelian warriors have fought for her hand, and were defeated by Hralib or scared off. She probably got sick of being unmarried and decided to get rid of her step-father instead!
Everyone knows that Emma was bitterly angry that Hralib refused to let her be a warrior, like she wanted, and when she was bad, punished her by making her do beauty treatments instead. Maybe she decided to prove something to him.
Hralib was trying to get his wife Nobifa pregnant, but did not trust the fertility potions that she was taking. He sent one of his slaves, Melani, to get some for him that he could trust. If Nobifa and Hralib had such a loving marriage, why didn't he trust her? Was she trying not to get pregnant? After all, isn't that an important part of making a Shamibelian marriage official?
Aylina knows that Yvette loaned her earrings to Tabitha for the Night of Obala's Pride. The earrings found in Hralib's pocket look just like them.
Everyone knows that Pevifa hates her own daughter so much that she allowed Fara to become a slave. Pevifa feels extremely spiteful towards her daughter, and knew that Hralib was advocating on Fara's behalf. She might have killed him for it.
Emma is so good at her beautician work that she was close to being able to buy her freedom. Maybe she was afraid that Hralib wouldn't let her go, so she killed him.
Aylina's a great little whore--she loves to bite!
Aylina was serving some of her best spicy dishes on the Night of Obala's pride, and all the Shamibelians enjoyed it. If there'd been anything wrong with it, wouldn't they all have died, and not just Hralib? One really shouldn't insult Aylina's cooking and expect her to take that sitting down!
Round One Conceal
Aylina's husband, Udettos, tried to kill Hralib during the early days of the Occupation. As a reward, Hralib cut him down and chopped up his body to feed to the griffons. Aylina swore, from that day on, that she'd get revenge.
It wasn't enough for Hralib that he desecrated Udettos--he also took their wedding necklaces, and made Savanna melt them down and ornament his armor with them. Every time Aylina saw Hralib wearing that armor, it made her blood boil.
Fine, so Aylina has been buying potions from Anorna and sometimes adds it to her cooking, but nothing poisonous--only sleeping potions. Shouldn't everyone like to sleep well on a full stomach?
It's true that Hralib's favorite son was in love with Aylina. And why not? It made Aylina feel better to know that she held sway over something Hralib loved.
Aylina might know where Hralib's missing son is, and she might not. It's a secret. And everyone knows how the Shamibelians are about secrets. You'll have to find where she's buried hers.
Round One Props
- A Pot and spoon
- Some Homemade Treats to Give Out
- A Prostitution Permit
Aylina Round Two
Round Two Reveal
Whenever Hralib purchased a night with Yvette, he would make her perform her "special trick" and she would always return in tears, bitter and murderous. She hated Hralib and wished him dead.
Yvette has been crying and upset all day. Is it guilt?
Aylina knows that Hralib impregnated Melani, and told her that he was so proud of how she'd finally submitted to him that he was going to announce it to everyone. Might Melani have killed Hralib to keep Torianos from finding out? (Hralib liked to brag about women he slept with, including brothel slaves.)
Aylina knows that Hashi doesn't work hard enough, or buy the right kind of slaves to support Fissia's estates. She has to make and sell earrings to supplement their income. Aylina knows, because she always gives Fissia the bones from her cooking to carve into jewelry.
Fissha can't stand Hashi, thinks he's a worthless husband, and wishes fervently that he would die. Why would she kill Hralib and thus ensure him inheriting his father's slaves . . . unless she knew they'd be blamed for the murder and killed off before Hashi could inherit a thing.
Hashi's dog Spike is devoted only to Fissia and that she has trained it to kill on command. It could have left the scratch mark on Hralib's body and bitten off his finger.
Fissia threatens slaves by telling them that if they don't obey, she'll cut off their fingers and feed them to Spike.
Renik used to ask her to make "energy" flat bread for him, using a secret ingredient that he gave her, which he said made him fight better in the ring. What if it was poison, and he was really giving it to Hralib?
Aylina heard that Orsatos completely blacked out during the Night of Obala's Pride. Might it be guilt for killing his master?
Aylina knows that Caree trades slaves for spices, and sometimes brings unusual Caldera City spices to the Shamibelians in Anarinuell. Maybe one of those 'special spices' ended up in Hralib's stew?
Aylina bets Rodiste can't remember much of what happened on the Night of Obala's Pride after he had some 'special time' with Aylina in the catacombs. You know how men are. When they black out, it's usually because they've done something violent.
Aylina saw Lainath and Tabitha near the catacombs the night Hralib was killed--together, the two of them could have done it.
Round Two Conceal
Aylina got her aunt drunk and learned that Dyanna planned to lure Hralib into a temple on a cold night of the year, and lock him in, then make it look like his slaves did him in. Aylina is worried that her aunt did just that, and doesn't want her to get caught.
Akiva has been running a very lucrative underground permit forgery operation. If Hralib was about to uncover it, Akiva would have had to kill him to save her own life.
Aylina knows exactly what happened to Hralib's favorite son. She put sleeping potions in his food, and after he fell asleep, she smashed his head in with her cooking pot, then chopped him up with her cleaver.
Aylina's just using Rodiste. She always meets him at the catacombs for their rendezvous and laces his food with sleeping potions so that when he falls asleep, she can steal Shamibelian corpses and turn them into stew for her Master.
For some reason, Akiva thinks that this will upset Unot, and is always lecturing Aylina about it.
There was a special ingredient in the stew that Aylina served to Hralib the Night of Obala's pride--cut up chunks of his missing son's dead body. So why would she need to kill him, when she could enjoy what she was doing to him so well?
Aylina knows that Rodiste was unconscious the Night of Obala's Pride, because she knocked him out as per her usual custom when she slept with him.
Aylina returned to Hashi and Fissia's plantation carrying a large bundle, which she buried. But it wasn't stew meat. It was Hralib's armor.
Aylina has ash on the bottom of her slippers because she made a late night visit to the Great Library last night, where Hralib was burning ancient scrolls by the dozen.

Aylina Round Three
Round Three Reveal
Fine. Aylina went to the Great Library to kill Hralib last night, but when she got there, he was already dead. He was face first, down in the fire. So she stole his offensive armor, and buried it until she could burn it and send it back to Udettos in the sky.
Aylina has no idea how Hralib's corpse ended up tied up in a rug in the Temple District. She saw him dead, very dead, in the Great Library at 1:15AM.
Hralib still had his keys on him at the time--Aylina left them and only took the armor, so she can't say why they went missing.
Aylina also doesn't remember seeing any weapons in the area, no bloody knives or anything.
But what she did see was Sarina. She was loitering in the area, and no doubt, is the one who knocked poor Orsatos unconscious.
However, if she had to guess who killed Hralib, she'd put her money on Aldrin. You see, when Aylina went into the Great Library, she spotted Aldrin leaving from a back window. There was Hralib, laying dead. Who sneaks out a back window if they aren't guilty?
Round Three Conceal
When Aylina was coming out of the Great Library, she was spotted by Orsatos. She didn't want him raising the alarm, so she killed him by hitting him with her pot. It's amazing that he's not dead. Aylina is starting to give some credence to the idea that Tatomir is re-animating corpses.
Aylina didn't just take Hralib's armor. She also cut off his finger. It made for a finger-licking-good snack.
Round Three Props
- A finger bone
