BANIK ISTABANNOS

Young Lord Banik Istabannos had a full life ahead of him, the young lord was well liked by all, though seen to be something of a scamp by all as well. He became an initiate of Zin, often seen carrying holy relics from the temple. He eloped with Lady Senika Junik, when their courtship was forbidden by his own parents as well as hers. Their marriage was dissolved by their kin when it was found out. Young Banik was then thought to have gone slightly insane, as he went around the Palace District proclaiming the might of Zutiv and how he had converted to monotheism, while he was still a priest of Zin. One day, Lord Banik shouted out to Zutiv, challenging the God. Banik, one moment shouting, the next moment became a golden statue, with the word 'hubris' on the base. His statue was housed in the True Temple of Zutiv, a sign to all of the God's might.

Lord Yaffros Iberik stole the statue one night from the True Temple of Zutiv and brought it to the Temple of Zin where he dropped it into pool in the temple. There, Banik's golden body remained, unfindable, for several months. Then in a concerted effort, Lord Nydiam, Lady Zeysani and Prince Solgarik dove down into the pool, tying ropes to the statue, with the Istabannos family and other concerned individuals standing nearby. When the three surfaced, ropes affixed to the statue, everyone then joined in lifting the statue from the pool. It remained in the Temple of Zin until February of 21 A.U., when the young Istabannos Lord mysteriously returned to the flesh.

For almost 4 years, the lord returned to the realms as a Lord and a priest, seemingly to retain his sanity and live a productive life. However, in early 25 A.U. he returned to statue form where he remains, housed in the Temple of Zin.
