BASIANA

Mes Basiana was already an old woman when she came to Anarinuell in 38 AU, claiming to be a Solian priestess from Unotran. She came to public attention in August that year, when she made a speech demanding the release of a Mer Witan -- the man calling himself an illegitimate Didoron, product of an incestuous union between Lord Pertinax and Lady Willona. Adding to the scandal, Basiana claimed to have delivered Witan, and that a personal message from Soli had inspired her to come forward.

However, the story soon fell apart, after High Priestess Halla revealed that Basiana was not a priestess. The old woman disappeared when Clan Leader Diamia put Witan and co-conspirator Uveez on trial, and many believed she had fled Anarinuell. With a million-steni bounty on her head, she was caught by Prince Torianos in early January, 39 AU, and executed by spear the following month. Whether she has any surviving relatives is unknown.
