The funeral of Dame Urtenia was finally allowed by Clan Leader Taria of the Ticanee, and took place on Wednesday on the sharani's own land. Perhaps in accordance with a custom of the Ticanee clan, the beloved healer's remains were burned along with what had been the beginnings of a new home for her under construction. Calls have been made to see any item belonging to Urtenia's husband, Wendos, recently executed by the Bear clan for accessory to murder for Lord Dedalion, sent to Clan Leader Taria to be disposed of.
With all this wanton destruction, a balance has been drawn with the creation of a new order, named the Urtenian healers, in honour of the late Dame. This group are pledged to the pursuit of healing excellence, and many notable figures have agreed to join them, including Clan Leader Inaya of the Chimera clan. Any Bear clan healer, midwife, or of a related trade wishing to pledge their support are asked to contact Mes Kendra or Mes Neoma of the Ticanee clan by messenger.
Healers are also being actively recruited by the Republic military to help deal with the coming war seasons and shamibelian threat. Cash bonuses have been offered for signing on, and further bonuses available for more advanced training in the healing arts. Clan members wishing to avail themselves of this opportunity, and of his winning personality and sunny smile, are asked to contact Lord Captain Audentus of the Republic 5th Division.
Both Prince Lucas and his cousin, Prince Zaridos, made mention of their champions this week. In the tradition of Ranivor Elianos, Prince Lucas will be holding a contest to test the skills and abilities of those young men and women who wish to serve him as his sharanir, for which details have been posted in scroll form in the forum, while Prince Zaridos has selected his own cousin, Mer Verus Zaridik, to act as his champion. Clan Leader Amenik continues his search for a new Hydra sharanir with a phase of his contest challenging warriors to gain written support from the gentlemen of the republic. It has been said that this is in an effort to improve the allegedly lacking skills in literacy and diplomacy among the new wave of Hydra Warriors. No comment was available from Lord Firistan.
Following concerns by the public that the new noble Sennet family, recently escaped from Ellish and brought up under Shamibelian rule, have not been yet indoctrinated in Firan ways, Lord Donos has made assurances that these young ladies and gentlemen are slowly being acclimatised to Anarinuell under his own watchful eye. Lord Donos stated that it would be frightfully rude to place nobles in the more usual temporary camps for escapees, but that they are fuly aware that their actions may be under scrutiny for some time yet until the public are satisfied of their loyalty.

Lady Laurelia Ista Aldrik's eleventh birthday is rapidly approaching, and well wishing citizens may be reliably informed that she wishes to own a pony. The usual gifts of cake (not poisoned, please - it would be terribly rude), hairpins, or tea (see above) would also be considered perfectly acceptable for those of lesser means.
It has been noted that Lord Docci Shadina has been seen having his belongings moved from the bedroom he shares with his wife, Lady Zelva, to another bedroom within the Shadina Estate. Rumours are rife that there may be an impending divorce, and several young ladies of the Republic are looking to the former Ista Barun lord as a prospective marriage prospect.
Lord Arnax Shadina, despite the inclement weather and impending winter, has set off on a quest to the Oracle of Uf, in the company of several Bear clan citizens, including Mer Vandalin, Mes Airlea, Mes Cyrisa and Mes Catoly.
And finally, it has been noted that Lady Rianna has not been drunk and disorderly for several weeks.

Archery issues should now be fixed! The difficulty of archery, for a long time a concern of many military types and competition archers, has been checked over, and set to the correct level. What does this mean? Hopefully fewer misfires and random injuries to spectators, particularly from high level competitors, and bows should be a little less random and more deadly in trained hands for war season.
