Rumours abound that a small shamibelian raid outside of the city was responsible for the carrying off of a number of Eesani children, including the young gladiator Velas, known as the 'Kid Cobra'. It is still disputed how anyone could tell there were children missing from the Eesani family, as surely there are too many to count, but the First Division are investigating. It is recommended that those citizens who still live outside the walls consider moving to the safety of the city in case of just such threats from the shamibelian horde.
Gold Dragon citizens have apparently found a new pastime in the worship of Lord General Zafir Junik, following a slip of the tongue by Lord Emil Firgalik mistaking the lord's name for that of Lord Zutiv. There is much debate as to whether the Gold Dragons have finally found their long lost sense of humour, or whether they really are that dumb after all. Lord Zafir has refuted that he is the one true god of the monotheistic clan, directing prospective worshippers to the Gold Dragon True Temple, although he has created a code of conduct for Zafirian devotees, which has been placed in the Great Library.
Lord Viceroy Taleo Teranzik has put out a call for the replacement of a number of Republic officials, including that of the Acting Queen, who, it is noted, has served longer than her term allowed, and that of Lord of the Games, following the investigation into Lord Marsalos Iberik's activities regarding the executed Mer Wendos. Other positions to be filled include the Minister of Charities, Minister of Education, Minister of Families, a new Republic judge to replace Lord Marsalos, and a new position as governess to the younger generation of Elianiks. Top contenders for the position of Acting Queen are reputed to be Princess Laytania Elianik, Lady Tia Firgalik, Lady Luna Corinala and Lady Gemella Istabelik.
Lord Banian IstaNydiam, young son of Lord Nydiam of the Cockatrice Clan, officially received his adult soul this week, at a Ceremony of Souls at which Lady Regent Nalia Iberik was once again conspicuously absent. It is rumoured that the Eagle regent may be loathe to have her name associated with the ascent into adulthood of a young man thought by many to have been involved in the unfortunate ballista incident which took the life of Mer Icarius Dranieez, or that Lady Nalia's duties to the Eagle clan are now taking up too much time, and her duties as High Priestess of Unot are being neglected.

Young ladies of notable families in Nelabam have been reported as going missing, following further threats from the dissidents of Cockatrice descent, thought to have been responsible for the deaths of Lord Anaxotran and Lady Pamella Shadina. Meanwhile the houses of ill repute in the Cockatrice city of Unotran have gained a large number of young ladies with dark colouring, who are noted to be of dour and hostile disposition. Investigations are ongoing to determine whether the two are linked, and to free any kidnapped Bear citizens from these criminals.
In Anarinuell, many young Bear ladies received similar threats, and Mes Sharina Davocelli, servant of the Teranzik family, is thought to have been abducted from the Teranzik Estate by the same militant group. A further abduction was made from the group of Bear citizens travelling Cockatrice lands on a pilgrimage to the Oracle of Uf, resulting in the capture of Mes Airlea. It is said that Mes Airlea was later spotted being dragged by a number of brigands from the IstaBannos estate towards the docks, against her will. Lord Rikon Istabannos and Lady Diamia IstaNydiam are believed to be assisting the Republic with their enquiries.
Finally, Lady Laurelia would like to make it known that she had a lovely birthday, for which she is very grateful, and received a pony named Snowflake.

Tolls on the Palace District have been lifted for all characters, but are due to be replaced with a new system to draw stenis from the grid. Please note that speedwalking through the gates of the Palace District will result in tolls being taken mistakenly. These stenis will not be refunded, so be careful to slow down as you walk.
Those of you looking to research information in the Great Library are requested to please consider if the answers you seek can be found using @record/search at the Unity Building, for legal records. Adoptions, judgements and similar legal information are recorded there, and saves the wizards having to search out information to which players already have access.
Lastly, those of you with child objects not currently on your @sheet, please @request with the name of the child object and a relationship you have to them, so that the wizards can link the two of you together. Else they have no idea which children exist and are eligible for chargen, for future reference.
