Nothing like a funeral to get people riled up. At Initiate Tuelli Cyrani's funeral, several Auriks dared to show up. As High General Firuell Aurik was the one who gave the initiate her punishment for insubordination, and accidentally killed her in the process, it was considered quite rude for members of the family to show up. A mob came, soon, and even sent one of the benches on fire! No one quite died in the process, but several were injured severely, including Captain Priest Parosh and Priestess Alyosha who were attacked by the mob following the service. In a dissy mood? Mer Recis would probably be a good idea, for causing a riot that almost ended three Unotian clergy member's lives, as well as a fire that could have burnt the entire temple down.
It didn't hold back the Ceremony of Souls for the city's future adults, however! Lady Regent Priestess Nalia held the service, which went off without any mobs or fires or anything disturbing the peace of those present. The professions of the night included a bookmaker, poetess, a few soldiers, a mercenary, and several others. If you're a noble out there looking for a sponsoree or two, now may be your chance to grab one!
Lady Petrina seems to be searching for another sponsoree or perhaps even two. She's the person to ask for if you're looking for one!
A little Bear orphan has been seen wandering around the city, going by the name of Elysia. Where'd she come from? Who are her parents? Is she wearing hairpins? Hmm!
Several Shadina servants have been overheard gossiping about Lord Tagali. Apparently, his speech regarding the Bear Fire Brigade didn't stir the populace as much as he'd hoped, leaving him quite unhappy. If no one else signs up in the near future, he may feel the need to prove that a fire brigade is necessary by, obviously, starting a fire. And it could be /your/ house that he burns.
