Clan Leader Belik of the Hydra Clan was for many not only a man, but a legend. No Clan Leader ever grew older than he did, having lived in a time before the Seven Heroes existed, having witnessed the rise and fall and rise of the Firan realms. He was thought old when the Shamibelians attacked and the Great War began, but he lived many more years until his old age finally made him perish. Born in 47 B.U., he was the brother of Aldrik, Clan Leader of the Bear Clan, related by blood to the Ista Aldrik and Elianik families.

He personified his clan; set in his ways, believing in Zutiv, following the old traditions. He would often clash so often with those he deemed unfit to rule, like the neo-noble Rissiks. In fact, it was one of these conflicts that made him decide that the Hydra Clan would leave the Firan Republic when he butted heads with then-Queen Eliana, forcing his citizens to begin their exile to Arinzi, in 21 A.U. Only prolonged hardship made him relent, returning his clan to the Republic under Ranivor Vahlgellan.

In recent years, Clan Leader Belik was more and more absent from the political life, and his Proxy Lord Rodellos N'Gato was the most visible figure of Hydra politics. In late 28 A.U. Belik died of old age, leaving behind his widow Lady Senika, his heir Lord Amenik, a boy at the time of his father's death, and a daughter, Lady Selia. He received a state funeral with all the pomp and glory such an illustrious leader deserved.
