Th'name's Kiriakos, Caree Kiriakos, and I'm a slaver. I smuggle people an' spices outta the remaining Free Firan cities, and sell 'em here in Anarinuell. As ya kin see, I gotta play nice with you people, and I got a real sweet deal. I ain't got no reason to disrupt my business by killin' the Governor. But you see Gilin over there? She weren't no good even when Anarinuell was a Firan city. Always causin' trouble, sendin' people t'sleep with th'fishes, palmin' shite. She was in a gang and everything. Does she have an alibi for last night?
Background
Caree Kiriakos has been a riverboat captain for a lot of years, and the Old City used to be her home -- until the Shamibelians invaded. Caree was captured for a brief time then, until Hralib realized that she could be of more use to him as a slaver.
So, Caree 'escaped' and made a home for herself in Lurashar--the new capital of the Free Firan Republic, or what's left of it. Caree makes her fortune by smuggling spices and slaves to the Shamibelians, and tonight she has a real prize up for sale.
That's right, Caree's found herself a genuine virgin, a Firan noblewoman, Lady Tazira Firgalik. She ought to fetch a pretty steni.

Caree Round One
Round One Reveal
As everybody and their uncle knows, Caree was staying in Anarinuell last night in Vitara Nobifa's pad, as Hralib's guest. Nobifa's been livin' in Kamnestra Hall, and has been a right gracious hostess to Caree. However, Caree couldn't help seein' that Nobifa didn't get back home until near to 4AM last night.
Everyone knows that Ladonna makes a pretty steni for Lainath by singin' her little songs and spoutin' her little poems. Because of all that, she's got permits to get into any place she wants to go. She could've gotten away easy, the Night of Obala's Pride, and snuffed Hralib.
Everyone knows that Tatomir has some weird priestly zappy powers and he can suck the life right outta people with his bare hands! What if he snuffed Hralib with his magic and then left his body there t'freeze?
Everyone knows that it was Tatomir who actually found stiff ol' Hralib's body. Whose t'say he ain't his killer, pretending to "find" Hralib's body right where he left it? Pretty feckin' convenient, that...
Caree knows that Gilin's got this special talent for palmin' just about anythin' --maybe even firebombs.
Caree knows that Tazira is a hot commodity and there's no way she's being left alone till after the auction's over tonight! There ain't no way she could've killed Hralib or Throgana.
Caree's a slaver workin' for the Shamibelians. She worked great with Governor Hralib--what motive would she have to kill him and screw that up?
Also, everyone knows that while most o' the Firan slaves hate Caree's guts with a real angry fire, Throgana did great as a slave, and she always got along with Caree jes' fine. So what motive would Caree have for killing her?
Round One Conceal
Hralib was a cheap bastard who often tried t'cheat Caree outta fair prices for her new slaves, but he was hostin' her as his guest, as th'Governor o' Anarinuell, and it ain't on t'murder yer host.
Caree is more'n just a slaver. She's also a smuggler of spices an' other illegal stuff. But Caree don't know the first thing about poisons or potions.
The Shamibelians are happy enough to have Caree smuggling to them, but they would be spittin' mad t'know that she smuggles things outta Anarinuell too.
Caree does a thrivin' business in sellin' red cap juice, which grows more easily in Anarinuell than it does in the remaining Free Firan cities.
Caree is very interested in getting' her paws on a Shamibelian fire bomb, because the Firans would pay a Ranivor's ransom if she could get one for them.
Caree didn't actually capture and kidnap Tazira to make a slave of her. The silly bint actually volunteered.

Round Two Reveal
When Caree met with Hralib before the Night of Obala's Pride, t'sell Tazira to him, they talked business. Hralib was interested in buyin' a slave to be an armorer for the Shamibelian Army. He said that the best armorer he knew was Savanna, Malentez's slave, but Malentez had some crazy notion that he was going to use Savanna as a brood mare.
Hralib thought that usin' a right talented armorer as a personal slave was a feckin' waste, and mentioned that Malentez was takin' his life into his hands by keepin' Savanna, because she had told him that she'd rather snuff Malentez in his sleep than bear a haffie bastard baby for him.
Caree knows that Savanna may seem like a quiet little-girl slave, but that little girl actually wields a hammer like a real pro--matter of fact, she snuffed a man durin' the invasion that way. She could've given Hralib a bump to the head that he'd have never woke up from.
The Night o' Obala's Pride, when Caree took Tazira to the steam house t'wash her down, they ran into Yvette, who was desperately tryin' t'clean blood off her hands.
Maybe the Shamibelians actually killed Hralib and are tryin' t'blame the slaves. After all, Caree knows that Forlanis has been buying docile-seemin' girl-slaves from her, but turnin' them into a secret little army of assassins. He could've sent one easy to kill Hralib, a rival of his.
Caree (who got the mask for her by tradin') knows Nobifa went to the Night of Obala's Pride party in a butterfly mask.
Caree knows that Dyanna thought an excellent punishment for misbehavin' slaves was t'lock them in a cold room, and let 'em freeze to death. Popsicled right up. Kinda like what happened to Hralib.
Caree knows that Dyanna didn't have no problems with Hralib, but she thought that his slaves were getting' above themselves, actin' all high and mighty towards her. An example needed to be set, and getting them all executed would go a far sight toward pleasin' Dyanna.
Durin' the Night of Obala's Pride, Caree thought Dyanna seemed a titch drunk. She was loudly talkin' to her niece, Aylina, and she said that she planned t'lure Hralib into a temple on a cold night of the year, and lock him in, then make it look like his slaves did him in.
The Night of Obala's pride, round 11pm, Caree saw Melani give Hralib a vial of dark liquid.
Emma was seen dancin' with Hralib during the Night of Obala's pride until his masked wife, Pevifa got up in their faces and bitch-slapped the girl for havin' the balls and insolence to dance with her husband the one night that the usual social rules for Shamibelian men and women were relaxed. What was that about?
Osirus has been telling the slaves that the only way to get free is to cut the head from the body--murder Hralib, an' mebbe the Shamibelians will have to get outta Anarinuell.
Orsatos is rather loaded, for a slave. He could've paid an assassin to kill Hralib for him.
Round Two Conceal
Caree is actually a double-agent. She poses as a slaver, but she's been workin' with Clan Leader Ania and the remaining Free Firan cities all along. Tazira's in it with her.
Though Tazira grew up a Firgalik noblewoman, she was really kind of a disgrace. Her mother, Lady Emeelya, was raped by a Shamibelian named Lainath during one of the Air Raids. Luckily, Tazira was light skinned enough to pass for a Firan, and she never grew horns, so her mother was able to pass her off as Lord Jalil's daughter.
Tazira is now dyin' of a plague that only affects those with Shamibelian blood. The more Shamibelian blood they have, the faster they die. Tazira is highly contagious--a total death trap to Shamibelians.
Keeli is another one of Caree's 'plants' in Occupied Anarinuell. Keeli has been workin' to get herself into a position of power so that by the end of the night, Caree can send a signal back to the Free Firan Cities to mount a counter-invasion.
On the way here, Caree met up with a friend at the border who’s been helping a priest in Anarinuell smuggle children out of the city in wine barrels. Two children, a boy and a girl, were killed by the Shamibelians, but the agent managed to give Caree their poor little bodies so she could help arrange proper funeral rites for them. She hears their mother might be Yvette.
Caree, Tazira and Keeli know that a Firan counter-invasion is on the way, but only if they can give the signal that they have assassinated the Shamibelian leaders and key collaborators. They will give the signal by firebombing a major landmark in Anarinuell. Firan pilots are scoutin' for the flames, and if they ain't bright enough, the Firans won't know to attack.

- Stash the bodies of the dead children somewhere safe in the Slave Temple until they can be given funeral rites
- Caree should contact Yvette with the sad news
- Caree should see if she can find out what became of Ania's children.
- Caree should find out Zaridos and let him know she's a double-agent and has a boat waiting--she can smuggle out three children and two adults.
- Caree should help Tazira infect as many Shamibelians as possible
- Caree should update Keeli, and see if she can help get Keeli into a position of power

Round Three Reveal
Tazira told Caree that Jalil once loved Throgana. The idea that she would've picked a goat like Hralib over a Clan Leader like Jalil is something that his pride prob'ly couldn't take. It ain't so hard t'believe that Jalil might try to kill her and her lover, is it?
Caree knows that Zaridos feels guilty that he may have lost Anarinuell to the Shamibelians and would be eager to get revenge and redeem himself by killing Hralib.
Hralib found Empyrean to be a nearly worthless slave, and forced him to learn t'weave rope to "make himself useful." Hralib gave him a buttload of blue dyed pema to work with. The ropes that held the rug 'round Hralib's body were blue.
Someone leaked Zaridos' battle plans t'the Shamibelians. That's how they ended up poundin' him into th'mud.
Round Three Conceal
Caree made sure that Tazira was able to come into close, very close, contact with Hralib before the Night of Obala's pride. Hopefully, Tazira got him sick with the goat-plague. It's very possible that's what ended up killin' him. Of course, that don't explain how he ended up tied up in a rug, frozen in ice.
Ania told Caree that one of the Princes is a yellow-bellied traitor, and caused the downfall of the Republic. She's been charged with figuring out which one.
