Clan Leader

Clan leaders have a complex role on FiranMUX. They must spent much of their time tending to matters of state and managing their realms. Players who are clan leaders are expected to spend a fair amount of time on the MUX. Current clan leaders are:
- Chimera Clan - Torianos
- Gold Dragon Clan - Ojitar
- Bear Clan - Fidelia
- Cockatrice Clan - Diamia
- Hydra Clan - Amenik
- Griffon Clan - Luna
- Eagle Clan - Ania
- Ticanee Clan - Taria
Note that the Ranivor (Elianos) has special standing, but is considered to
be in the clan leader social class. Currently the Viceroy Taleo is serving
as regent for Elianos' heirs, his grandsons. Taleo stepped down as Viceroy,
but the Clan Council reelected him and, as of now (38 AU at time of the
more recent update), Viceroy Taleo continues to serve for the regent of the
Elianik family.
Clan leadership is passed as follows:
- The current clan leader of the clan appoints the next clan leader, choosing from among his or her legitimate children,
- If no legitimate heirs exist, the clan leader may appoint from any of his or her illegitimate children, or near relatives,
- If political circumstances demand it, or if the current clan leader has no living blood relatives, the current clan leader may choose to appoint anyone he or she wishes.
- If the current clan leader is unable to appoint a successor (ie. the clan leader dies without having appointed one), the clan council chooses a successor from amongst the nearest living relatives or the clan may choose its own new leader spontaneously (as they did with Bannos).
