Cockatrice Newsletter 1 - Unknown Date

Hey cockatrices! I'm back! Ready for action. Everyone give Porifirio a
spiffy round of applause for doing such a wonderful newsletter for
your braindead and jet-lagged FacHead, bettcha guys liked hearing from
someone who don't babble! Anyway, Welcoming to the clan this week (and
a half.. or so..) we have Ekenik, Gilda and Metis! Give them all a
warm welcome, and please. Don't kill Ekenik?
IC events!
Well, it looks as though the Eagle Rebellion is taking a downward swing.. will the people be happy now that Clan Leader Zeysani is presiding? I suppose we'll have to just wait and see what happens. Aren't you glad you aren't an Eagle?
Lady Ibania, wife of the former Clan Leader of the Eagle Clan,
Nydiam, and also Proxy Bashona's sister recently celebrated a
birthday! Well wishes should be sent her way, Eagle or no.. she is
still a Cockatrice Princess.
The news of the marriage between Sir Thallo and Priestess
Eesha has been circulating, causing some speculation and such as no
one knew the pair to be courting. And, of course, the heartbreak of
girls who'd wanted Thallo as theirs. ;)
It also appears that Proxy Bashona and husband Lord Aldrikos have decided, that instead of staying together like most thought they would be splitting up. Now, is this good.. or is it bad? You decide!
OOC events!
Yes, this falls under IC events too.. (ha! Joke. OOC events is under IC events in the newslet-.. okay, I give up.) but, anywho. A new law has been implemented that in order to sell to the market, one must have a noble sponsor. It also reads that the noble sponsor gets a decided/agreed upon cut of the profits, from 5% to 50%. Uproar has been caused by this Icly and OOCly, but, there is no reason for this. The law will remain in place until the staff are convinced it works, or it doesn't. Getting a noble sponsor is quite easy, even if you have a noble alt. There are lots and lots of nobles, you can't know them all!

IC rumors!
Rumor has it that Ekenik is back in town again, and Azara, his wife, still isn't living at home with him. Now, what is up with that? Hm.. those Emistas, one really must watch out for them.

Tip O' Da week!
We all get lost on occasion, its -really- quite easy to do on
Firan's massive grid, but the first thing to do is not panick. Just
like in real life! There are lots of good ways to get yourself out of
that pickle, like using coordinates that staff have so nicely
implemented in the game. You can either @toggle coordinates on, or use
@coords. The first command will show you the coordinates of the room
you are in each time you move, as long as its outside. The second
command will show you the coordinates of the room you are in when you
type it. Now, you have to think of the game like a gigantic coordinate
plane, the center of which is the forum at 0.0. If you go north, you'd
be going up the y-axis, south would be down on the same. East would be
right on the x-axis, and west would be left. Use the forum as a
referance when you're lost, try to get back to 0.0, and you should be
all set. If worst comes to worst and you are totally lost, you can try
asking on help or the clan channel to see if someone knows where you
are to help you get back. I'm always willing to pull a search and
rescue mission, and I know a few other people are too.
