Interview with Yassamin Ista Barun
Question: Your past is a mystery, tell us who was Yassamin before meeting Adan and the trip to Anarinuell?
Yassamin:My past isn't a mystery. My father is well-respected in Caldera City, and I spent time between my Ceremony of Souls and my arrival here in Agadin, performing healing duties as part of my Unotian training to be a priestess.
Q: When you arrived to Anarinuell it spreat through all the known free realms that you were one of the most beautiful ladies ever seen. How does that make you feel and what's your opinion about it?
Well, I can't comment on the accuracy of other people's opinions. They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder; if other people think I am beautiful, then perhaps it's true. But there are many beautiful women in this city.
Q: People were touched by your 'first look love story' with lord Adan, and they were expecting a 'and they lived happily ever after'. What went wrong?
I think that Lord Adan is a good man, and I do owe him my life and freedom for rescuing me and bringing me back safely. But, no matter how much love and affection there was, any union between us seemed doomed to fail. First, he already had a wife and children, and he chose to give that up in my favor after meeting me. It was a gallant gesture on one side, but it tore his family apart. I think the breaking of festival peace during our wedding ceremony was a sign that we were not meant to be wed. But I strongly wish him health and happiness in his future.
Q: And what are your future aspirations?
Perhaps others will say that I lack ambition, but my wants are very simple. I would like to find a husband and start a family. I would also like to continue my work with Unot's temple, and someday have a position in this city where I can feel as though I am useful and valued.
Rumors & Announcements
Mes Barasa was caught during a festival event for a rather intense and quick labor. Ending up having the baby on her own and yet still giving birth to a healthy baby boy and she herself is doing well also.
Cockatrice citizens have been attending, hosting and winning events at the Fall Festival. However, the non-attendance of the IstaNydiam family has been noticed, and several are beginning to wonder if they should or not follow the example as a sign of protest.
Outside the clan, there is the rumor that Lord Rikon will not enter the pentathlon increasing the odds of other possible winners and there has been a frenzy to find or repair armors for the 50-50 and Physical pentathlon.
