Covis' Cutthroats
From FiranMUX
After the Great War, the many soldiers who'd served as scouts and covert assault units were amalgamated into an unofficial squad inside the Second Division, the purpose of which was to act as scouts for the main force of fighting infantry.
This group became known as Covis' Cutthroats, taking on the name of their CO and most notable member, Commander Covis Junik.
Amongst the names of those who served are Zafir Junik, Thaddeus Ista Aldrik, Dursun Manosik, and Mer Sharik of the Ticanee Clan - though there were many others, farmers and hunters who excelled in scouting and often ventured behind enemy lines in what was one of the most dangerous assignments in the military.
Though Covis' Cutthroats have been replaced with a more formal scouting squad, there is an enduring fame amongst military buffs and hardened veterans for those dangerous and stealthy pioneers.
