Official Statement
My name is Czar Samiroon, slave of Malentez and I strive to be worthy. I used to be discriminated against in the Firan lands for being Bonduin. But now the shoe is on the other foot, isn't it? Here in occupied Anarinuell, it's the Bonduin slaves who are prized, and the Firans who are dirt. So I have a good life as an overseer. Why should I want to do Hralib harm? If you are to suspect anyone, it should be Osirus. Everyone remembers how, on the Night of Obala's Pride, Hralib said that Osirus had too much pride to be a good slave and had to be taken down a peg or two. He made Osirus fight Throgana, and Throgana won! I lived amongst the Hydrans and I know how much humiliation this entailed for him. He would have wanted revenge.
Background
During the old days, when the Firans ruled Czar was often a figure of ridicule. His mother Ursina was a well known gladiator and could best his father any time she wanted, making his father - a Hydra man - seem weak. This made things difficult for Czar. He was turned over to the Hydra by his mother, but they didn't let his father raise him. Instead he grew up surrounded by Istabeliks and other Hydra commoner cast offs. He didn't get the red skin of his Boduin mother, but looked a lot like her anyway. Now his life is better. Freed from the constrants of the Hydra warrior code he finds himself a prized posession of his master and all the noblewomen who he couldn't touch before he can lord power over. Czar revels in this new found power and status, enjoying beating certain slaves more than others. He's often given the all important task of guarding places important to the overlords; places like the catacombs or his master's tents.
Relationships
- Malentez -- Czar's master, to whom he is obedient and useful. He knows that as long as he is useful to his master he will lead a good life, so he plans on being as useful as possible.
- Savanna -- Another of Malentez' slaves. Czar has the hots for her. She's a former noblewoman and embodies everything he ever fantasized about. To have her as his own would be revenge on all the other women who sneered and looked down their noses at him.
- Zaridos -- One of Malentez' gladiator slaves. Czar doesn't trust him one bit. Luckily, gladiator slaves don't live long. He was a prince and a high flyer in the past, but now he suffers abuse at the hands of someone he would have spat on before. Czar considers it divine providence that he is more powerful than an Elianik now.
- Dyanna -- She is one of the few Firan slaves who is owned by the state, and is an overseer, like him. She was a noblewoman before but became a whore, because of this he doesn't fantasize about taking her. She is tainted goods, but useful because of her own position of power.
- Osirus -- This slave of Lainath Samiroon makes Czar angry--he needs to die. He hates Osirus with a passion, for he was one of those Hydras who taunted him for being the son of a weakling and for being a Bonduin. He enjoys whipping him and seeing Osirus suffer.
- Keeli -- Czar's sister-in-law. A Bonduin slave girl. Czar considers it his duty to protect her too, though she is a Bonduin and able to protect herself most of the time.
Goals
- Serve Malentez well because Malentez gives you status and trusts you.
- Insult, humiliate and otherwise bother Osirus.
- Dig up dirt on Osirus and prove that he killed Hralib and Throgana if possible
- Keep Osirus away from Savanna
- Protect Savanna
- Remind everyone how Firan slaves are inferior to Bonduins.
- Get Malentez to agree to let him marry Savanna
- Get Malentez to allow him to violate a noblewoman, who all probably still think they're too good for him.

Timeline
- 10:00PM The Night of Obala's Pride kicks off with the sacrifice of Fidelia
- 11:45PM Czar notices Sarina leaving the party early
- 01:00AM Czar reports for guard duty at the catacombs and finds Rodiste sleeping on duty

Czar Round One
Round One Reveal
Forlanis asked Czar to keep an eye on Throgana, and blamed her for making him faulty armor during last year's war season. Maybe he decided it was time to get revenge upon her?
Everyone knows that Hralib sold Sarina to Ruffialo before the Night of Obala's pride as a gladiatrix slave--she wouldn't be the first slave who, once freed of her master and suspicion, then tried to kill him.
Czar know that Nobifa was having an affair with Malentez Samiroon. Could Hralib have found out about it, and been on the verge of killing her for the insult to his honor? She'd have had to kill him first to preserve her life.
Nobifa attended the Night of Obala's Pride party in a butterfly mask. Hralib's dead body was all wrapped up in a rug, like a cocoon. Coincidence?
Czar knows that Savanna was recently raped during a raid, and that though she didn't get a good look at the raiders, she always was sure it was Hralib that did it. If Governor Hralib went around doing things like that, it's no wonder that someone killed him.
Everyone knows that Sarina is a capable warrior and could kill a man without much trouble.
Czar notices that Sarina has Hralib's keyring.
Sarina told Czar that she was 'tired' shortly after Hralib left the Night of Obala's pride, and that she was going to bed, but it's seriously doubtful that she went back to Ruffialo's tents that night. She probably snuck off to follow him, and kill him.
Round One Conceal
Czar is in love with his fellow slave, Savanna.
Czar knows that Hralib had approached Malentez about buying Savanna because she was a high wage earner as a slave and armoror, and she could be handy for the the planned offensive to crush the rest of the Firan Republic.
Czar was upset about the idea that Hralib might take Savanna away from him, and was ready to do anything to stop it.
Last Night, Czar took his poisonous pet snake, and readied it for an assassination. It had built up enough venom for one deadly strike. Now he has to find it, and get it back into its cage, before anyone notices.

Round Two Reveal
The rug from Melentez' tent was missing this morning.
Czar know that the rug that Hralib was found wrapped up in was stolen from Pevifa's house by Malentez during one of his raids. Someone must be trying to incriminate his master. And what kind of lazy slave is Zaridos that he can't even guard their master's possessions?
Master Malentez was never known for subtlety. If he wanted to kill Hralib, wouldn't he have done it with his sword? And yet, Hralib didn't seem to have any stab wounds.
Dyanna has been asking a lot of questions about how cold certain Firan buildings get, saying she needed to keep some things 'on ice' for her Shamibelian masters.
Tatomir sent Dyanna to inspect the Temple District, without Hralib knowing about it, to see if it would be more suitable as state property than a private estate for Hralib's wife Pevifa.
Dyanna thought an excellent punishment for errant slaves was to lock them in a cold room, and let them freeze to death.
Ladonna came to Czar asking about exotic bonduin poisons. She said that other slaves were always taking liberties with her, and she just wanted something to defend herself so that she could preserve her master's property.
Czar knows that he gave Ladonna an exotic bonduin poison that, when poured on a kerchief and held over a man's mouth, could kill him.
Anorna thought it was an insult that Hralib was made Governor of Anarinuell instead of her master, Ruffialo. Obala knows she has had plenty to prove to him now that she's back, and much to make up for in terms of her having 'escaped', so mightn't she have killed Hralib to impress her master?
When Osirus was first captured, Hralib made him get on all fours like an animal, and eat grain from a bowl--against the Hydran Warrior Code. Osirus has hated him ever since.
Czar knows that he gave Rodiste the slash mark on his face with a whip because he caught him sleeping on guard duty AGAIN at the catacombs.
Round Two Conceal
The person Czar was trying to kill last night was Dyanna. Sure, they have a cordial enough relationship. It's nothing personal. But he wants Keeli to have a job as an overseer. She's a fellow Bonduin, and Dyanna is in her way.
So Czar slipped away from the Night of Obala's Pride at midnight, and put his poisonous snake in Dyanna's bed. It should have struck her, if she went right home as any good slave should, but if the snake had to wait around for a long time, it would have slithered off. Now Czar worries that it's his snake that ended up killing Hralib or Throgana.
He needs to find it, and get it back into its basket before anyone realizes it's missing.
Although Czar is a loyal slave, he was very unhappy about his master Melentez' plan to impregnate Savanna. He wants her for himself.
It wasn't Hralib that raped Savanna during the recent raid, it was Czar. He was supposed to be on guard, but he decided to take advantage of the raid and take Savanna unawares, so that she would think it was a foreign raider that did it and not get him in trouble with Master Malentez.
Czar knows that the poison he gave Ladonna was not strong enough to kill a man--he figured that if she was telling the truth, she would only need enough to knock out her assailant, not kill him, and that if she wasn't telling the truth, someone would live to tell the tale.
Keeli has been studying poisoning under Czar's tutelage, and she is fascinated with them.

Hralib took Emma's virginity--she may have resented him for that and killed him dead.
Hralib gave Throgana the Ranivor's medallion to wear as jewelry, and this infuriated Zaridos beyond measure, who vowed to strangle her with it if need be. Maybe he did.
