DAFNE ISTEMS

A young Ticanee urchin showed up in the Old City one day, barefoot and determined to remain so. It took a strong effort on the part of concerned citizens to persuade a stubborn Dafne just to wear boots in the winter, and from that moment it was as if her destiny was set. Dafne was streetsmart, stubborn, and strong-willed, and seemingly unable to stay out of trouble. Some say she was doomed when she fell in with the Istems gang, for what followed was pregnancy, tangles with the law, imprisonment, and sentencing to hard labor. The sentence was never carried out, though, and in May 22 A.U., Dafne seemed to have vanished. Some say she fled Anarinuell with her infant daughter Yoshika to escape the fate of a 'good life' vs. the fate of remaining a ganger, while others whisper ominously that her luck ran out and Dafne Istems finally came to a bad end.
