Personality & Beliefs
Dar Istanar is a good-hearted but hopelessly incorrigible man, who loves to laugh, have a good time, create and destroy things with his hands -- but not his words! He feels himself indestructible, and in fact, is one of those rare children that can get out of almost any situation unscathed. And if he does happen to sustain injury, he heals remarkably quickly, fresh to cause more mischief. Dar is the type of child that burns his hands repeatedly, rarely ever learning from experience. Each time he is burned, he is hurt to the core, incapable of understanding just why he was burnt. However, he's quick to snap out of a funk, reverting back to his cheery, impish self without any coaxing whatsoever. He's bold, he's brave, he takes risks -- because he's not the sharpest tool in the shed. If he was able to ponder the consequences of his actions in any shape or form, he'd not do half the harebrained things he usually finds himself mixed up in. He's easily led astray, because he is simply incapable of honing in on those who are set to take advantage of him. If he finds out he's been duped, that will make him mad, though not for long, because he'll shortly forget the wrong done to him in favor of other happenings in his life. He's loyal to those he loves, and this often inspires the desire in others to watch over and protect him. Since his Ceremony of Souls, Dar has become a highly social creature, desiring to spend more time getting to know other people. He's liable to go up to others in crowds and introduce himself, and invite them out for drinks at the Glassworks, but he's become less likely to mingle with people outside his social station - always choosing those from his class to mingle with, whenever possible.
Dar believes fully in family and clan above all else and would gladly and willingly place his life on the line in order for one of either to live. He has a strong love for Kamnestra and hopes to one day become a member of her Temple and serve her with his life.

Family Life
Dar has a great love for family and Clan and tries to keep it well together with his family. If they fight, Dar will be a quick one to try and brush everything aside and make up for the fight or even apologize first.

- It is noted that originally, Dar was an orphan and while under a year of age, was adopted by the Istanar Family. These two were executed before Dar could even remember them and before his first birthday.

News Danae - Dar once let a woman sneak a bottle into a jail cell, by accident, which was later used by Jassi, a whore of the White Dove, to help kill a slaver before seeing justice done to her.
Illegal Marriage Contract - With the marriage of Dar of the Bear Clan and Trysta of the Griffon Clan, things came upon them both instantly. Having failed to get his Head of Household's signature, Dar was found guilty of breaking Marriage Legislation Laws and only because of Trysta being with child, the marriage was not remove. Instead, Dar was stripped of the Istanar Family name, he then become a Griffon Citizen, having to serve at the front during war and pay one million stenis.
