Overview
DEDALION SHADINA
Lord Dedalion Shadina was born Dedalion Actis, the son of Naxa and Isio Actis, in Nelanos in the year 5 A.U. The family soon emigrated to Anarinuell, where Dedalion's grandmother, Endeera, had a popular bakery in the Bear district.
Dedalion started out doing locksmithing work, and was very good at it. He became trusted by many nobles across the city to do their locks. In 25 A.U., when Dedalion was in his early 20's, his family won a contest hosted by then-Bear Clan Proxy Taleo Ista Aldrik. The prize? The Actis family was made noble, and renamed Shadina. Thus, Dedalion Actis, locksmith, became Lord Dedalion Shadina, noble.
Dedalion married the adopted daughter of Clan Leader Taria of the Ticanee and Clan Leader Jalil of the Gold Dragon Clan in 31 A.U. During his brief life as a neo-noble, Dedalion tried hard to prove himself politically, yet always seemed stymied at every turn. He also had a penchant for making situations worse, just by being there, or not there, as he was the victim of several kidnappings. During a religious mission to find the Mystical Goat, Dedalion was kidnapped by what was purported to be the Lanesh Regime, though it was not certain. During that incarceration, his left hand was chopped off and sent to his wife, Lady Lilana.
Dedalion also served for several years as a Republic Delegate, becoming one of the first nobles in a long time to hold the post, setting the stage for later nobles to hold the position, much to the consternation of many commoners. He also worked up to the ranks of Priest in the Unotian Temple, a position he attained in honor of his late mother, Naxa, who died in the Air Raids of 24 A.U.
In the early spring of 34 A.U. Dedalion was reported missing. Fearing another kidnapping, scouts were sent out but no one could locate him. After several months, he was finally found, dead. His funeral, on the first of February 35 A.U. was attended by many. An investigation led by Lord Zafir Junik of the Gold Dragon Clan found that he was murdered by his long-time sponsoree, Ojafi Vettle, although those folks closest to Dedalion feel the truth is still hidden. Eventually, Wendos Aedilik claims to have done it under Sangreos' orders.
