The world of Firan is heavily influenced by the gods and their believers. Each character has a patron deity (or is an atheist). The gods themselves are very active, and religious RP is often both prolific and common. The Religion page has a detailed summary of the gods of Firan and how they interact.

As a summary, however, here are the basics: the gods of the Firan Pantheon are 11 in number, each one representing a different sphere of influence. For instance, Eesha is the Firan goddess of love and oaths, Unot is the god of the moon and death, etc. There are two major divisions in Firan society, religiously; those that worship all of the gods (polytheists) and those that worship only Zutiv (monotheists).
