Overview
A woman with dimples, Diamia has green eyes, long curly copper red hair and fair skin. Diamia appears to weigh about 139 pounds and stands about 5'6" tall. Her luminious green eyes and smooth features grow more refined with each passing day, her looks beginning to shift from adorable to lovely as she leaves her childhood behind. Curves that were once the barest whisper have begun to blossom on her tall frame but, despite these physical changes, her manner remains unusually quiet and shy. She gives the impression of concentrating extremely hard on the world around her as well as the one within, her eyes often growing wide with soft bemusement. This earnest desire to understand things is quite charming and lends her an air of bright intelligence.
Death
In the aftermath of the Kinslayer War, Banian IstaNydiam accused his sister and Rikon of being child-killing Drikkists. Banian mounted forces, as did Diamia and Rikon. They were prepared to fight for the medallion.
Mer Pakir arrived at the docks looking for Lord Banian. He carried a message so they let him through. The message reads as follows, "Banian, when you receive this message, I can only guess that when you get this message your answer will be yes. You are always foolhardy and ready to run into danger. I am prepared to meet with you just as the sun prepares to set on the edge of the city far from the water. I will come alone and you will come alone and we will talk. If you harm this messenger, your chance for negotiation will be forfeit. Lord Rikon Istanydiam."
Lord Banian agreed to the meeting despite concern from his camp regarding it. Apparently the second eldest child of Nydiam and Ibania had a bad feeling which was well founded; it was his sister, Clan Leader Diamia, in her husband's armor who came to face him. There seemed no love lost between Diamia and her brother and after some back and forth, a fight ensued. It was this fight, by Lord Banian's hand, that would lead to the beautiful Clan Leader's death:
Suddenly, he raises his sword. With the last of his pain addled strength, he forces it forward under the spear. The dream turns to a nightmare. It finds its way through the breastplate and through Diamia's stomach. Her beautiful green eyes seem to go dim. She looks as shocked as he is. With her hand on the sword, nothing can be done. It is done. She slides backwards to the ground. From there, she can see the beautiful sky...red with the sunset.

- Nydiam: Whoa.
- Ibania: WHOA.
Siblings
- Ibina: Ibina is Diamia's twin and it was her death at the hands of an angry Eagle mob that made her father go nuts. He reacted to it by ordering a baby lottery -- every year, one randomly chosen Eagle baby would die as punishment for the death of Ibina. This, of course, did not go over well and Nydiam was removed as Clan Leader of the Eagles because of it. Diamia has no affection for her deceased twin and is very self-conscious and insecure about being a twin herself; she constantly worries about whether or not she has a soul. She does not talk about Ibina, ever, and will not tolerate others speaking of her in her presence.
- Banian: Banian is irresponsible, never thinking about the consequences of his actions. Well, maybe he thinks of them but just doesn't care. He is needlessly reckless and used to do horrible, horrible things to Diamia's dolls when they were children. She arranged a marriage for him to Princess Thaddia Elainik, hoping that life in the Republic Royal Family would set him straight. It hasn't. Oh dear.
- Aeryk: Aeryk was a thug as a child, an ill-tempered brute who just did whatever Banian said. Luckily, he matured into quite a sensible and respectable young man. Out of all the IstaNydiams, he is probably the sanest (although it really doesn't take much). Formal and proper, he strives to live up to the responsibility of his birth and blood, determined to be a hero. This causes Diamia much worry as he tends to put himself into dangerous situations.
Half-Siblings
- Cecilia: Diamia has a love-hate relationship with her half-sister Cecilia -- she loves that Nydiam is her father, she hates that Lucretia is her mother. As such, Diamia's reactions to her can vary wildly.
Marriage
- Rikon: Rikon selected Diamia as his wife with a marriage prize that he won at one of the festivals. Their marriage has further solidified the joining of the two factions of the Cockatrice clan, pleasing both those who support Bannos's line to the throne and those who support Eve's line. They have a very solid marriage and make a good team.
Children
- Anais: Anais was born on September 12, 39 A.U. The loud one.
- Audrey: Audrey was born on September 12, 40 A.U. The happy one.
- Amaryllis: Amaryllis was born on September 12, 41 A.U. The sad one and Diamia's favorite. Died of a severe flu in the 44/45 AU winter.
- Alexander: Alexander was born on January 7, 44 A.U. The grumpy male one.

Enemies
- Zaridos: Diamia cannot STAND her cousin, Zaridos. He is thoughtlessly reckless and improper. She disapproves of virtually everything he does. It's such a shame that her friend, Laytania, had to marry him. Poor thing.
- Tia: Tia isn't actually a major enemy. Although she seems to dislike Diamia, her feelings toward the former princess are much milder. However, she insulted Lady Muggles in the Forum once and that has created some bad feelings. Besides, she is married to Ojitar, the current holder of the stole city of Sarkaran.
- Adan: In her youth, she had warm feelings toward her cousin. She even harbored a girlish crush on him for a time. Various actions he took put him on her bad side prior to his marriage to Arika. These feelings intensified into legitimate hate and loathing when he declared his intention to divorce his wife so he could marry the unknown Yassamin. She is not happy at all that he has returned to the clan.
- Argin: There is nothing Diamia would like to see more than Argin fail.
- Lucretia: Diamia never really cared for Lucretia; she viewed her as the slut that stole Nydiam away from Ibania. But her dislike transformed into full-blown hate when she and Sadin announced that they had always been married, that none of their other marriages had been valid and that Cecilia was actually Sadin's -- not Nydiam's -- daughter. This insult to her father, her family and her clan enraged Diamia and she wants to see the whore ruined.
Allies
- Luna: The Griffon Clan leader is technically her aunt, being Nydiam's much younger half-sister. She is restrained, proper and smart. The blood bond makes for a natural alliance.
