DRAUGIK VASEN-DARKAS

Draugik, the notorious half-breed, didn't always have a bad reputation. He was born in the first year after unification, and, as was custom for half-breeds in Shamibel, started his life as a slave.

In Anarinuell, Draugik made a good name for himself. He was famed for winning many pentathlons which earned him his title, his new wife, Lady Ranazeel, nobility for his children from a previous marriage, and several plots of land. He rose through the ranks of the First Division, becoming renowned for being a strict General, and the idea of Draugik assigning pushups for disrespecting him in any minimum were not unheard of. Draugik swore allegiance to the Firgalik family after Elianos showed him favor that many wouldn't grant a halfie. When Elianos left the city, Draugik went after to find him, though he never did. While trying to find traces of the rest of the heroes, Draugik went undercover as a commander in the Shamibelian army for a few years, only to return to the city with decorated horns, showing how much he advanced even in the enemy's military.

It was then he found that his first wife, Imenope, was pregnant with Garis' child, and consequentially, she was sent to the Dove, and Draugik gained custody of his three children that he sired with her. Draugik was tasked with restructuring the Firan military as well when it crashed under Vahlgellan's botched attempts to do so. The military was formed into six different divisions, instead of four, and has just been restructured recently after years of success.

Along with the good though, there were plenty of bad qualities and traits that were connected to Draugik's name, and eventually they would lead to his downfall. The fact that he was a halfie was never overlooked. Due to his heritage, most people could never bring themselves to trust him and many began to question why and how he was allowed to gain so much power within the Republic. Seeing their famed General come back home with decorated horns and no proof of their heroes only raised more uneasy suspicion amongst the people.

The High General had a short and unchecked temper, and sometimes it was even rumored that he was so savage and uncivilized he may have even ripped the hearts of Shamibelians out of their chests during war time. But even more frequently, rumors spread of the many mistresses Draugik took up along with his noble title. Some rumored that his goal was to bed every common woman in the city, and at times, his affairs would reach the public's ears. This would ignite the beginning of Draugik's end.

After Draugik tried to hold claim to one of Taria's citizens, the matter was brought to the Clan Council on why Draugik was allowed to Noble Privilege at all, since he had no noble blood, and was instead tainted with the blood of the enemy. As the meetings progressed, while Draugik served at the front with the rest of the Republic military, talks of removing nobility of his three children from his first marriage, Elianosik, Draugette and Sabinar, became serious. It was voted on that these children would no longer hold a noble title.

The anti-halfie movement became more public and active with the announcement, and the people of the city started to become more vocal about half-Shamibelians - especially Draugik.

In 32 A.U. Draugik was kidnapped during the Shamibelian air raids on the city. This came before a trial that was going to be held for his alleged conspiring against the Republic and Ticanee clan with the Ticanee girl he "claimed" before. It was said that a week later, he was seen setting fires with the goats and burned the name of 'Obala' or other Drikkist symbols into the country side. In these months, reports about Shamibelian air raids were becoming more frequent in other cities. When Rodellos resigned from his regent position, Hydran political relations began to unravel and a Hydran Civil War had started. Draugik was thought to be leading the Chimeran soldiers who went AWOL, along with the suspicion that he was working hand-in-hand with the Shamibelians as a spy. The Eagle clan declared war on the Hydrans in Arinzi, and Her Honor Zeysani even went as far as leading her own troops into battle.

On the journey there, Ladies Zeysani and Ishani were rumored to be attacked by Shamibelians on griffonback, and again, reports began to rise that Draugik was one of the attackers, and that the spy network around the city is actively relaying information to the enemy.

It wasn't too long before Zeysani was able to march on Pavan, only to be greeted with the head of the assassin who killed him, along with a note from Draugik declaring that the Ranivor Vahlgellan was the rightful clan leader for the Hydrans. He also announced that he was Vahlgellan's faithful servant to the end - a reflection to the undying loyalty that Draugik held for the Elianik family. Draugik soon after renounced his Griffon clanship and Vasen-Darkas name and swore fidelity to the Hydra Medallion under the surname IstaDraugik. The situation in Arinzi only escalated as Anirinuell was being air raided by the Shamibelians and their fire bombs.

After Her Honor Zeysani called a truce, Draugik captured a number of Eagle spies, and the Hydrans turned their anger towards the Clan Leader. She was taken into custody by Draugik to be executed after the needs of his truce were ignored. On May 15, 33 AU, Draugik drove his spear into Clan Leader Zeysani's heart, only to be met with godly consequences. The sky opened to pour down rain and the spectators who watched were blinded with tears, only to find that when Zeysani's last breath left her, that Draugik was turned into a clear statue, with a dark and evil core. He was returned to Lord Donos, husband of Zeysani, and for a period of time his statue was left out to be spat upon.

Draugik was survived by his children and wife, Ranazeel, though the children were executed in the months after, and his wife disappeared sometime later, only to be hanged when she returned back to the public light.
