DRIOS BAZYLI

Drios Bazyli was born in Lurgadin and fought in the Eagle militia there against the original Shamibelian horde invasion. He left Luragadin with a circus troupe, intending to become a gladiator. Lady Zelva was instrumental in turning his heart toward fighting for his people, the Firans, rather than for mere stenis, and he joined the Republic Military.

Drios was a hero of many battles and was an original member of the Republic Elite Unit, started in 34 A.U. He was well known for his dramatic rescue of Lord Trachi Iberik when the pair were shot down off a griffon during the first Hydran revolt, and he was a decorated hero of Anar Creek. Drios was known to be a bruising warrior, and was believed to be feared by even the Shamibelians who came face to face with his spear. He gained the final rank of Captain in both the Republic and Eagle Clan militaries, having served in honor. Drios died as any soldier would prefer to die, on the battlefield. He fell in the summer campaign of 34 A.U, taking out as many of the enemy that he could.

Drios was an initiate of Srenna for many years and, at his funeral on January 17, 35 A.U., was posthumously ordained a full priest in Her temple. He is survived by his wife, Fiyana, and their children: Ithad, Eaglos, Driona, Fiosa, and Danielle.
