About Dyanna
Name: Dyanna Cyrani, Slave of the State
Vocation: Slave Overseer
Age: 40
Starting Location: Pevifa's Land
Parents: Dominik Cyrani, Zelisi Cyrani
Traits: Dyanna loves her whip and she is often caressing it in her hands. That is... when she isn't caressing one of those slaves with it instead, lightly placing the leather upon a part of their body as a constant reminder that /she/ is the superior now.
Clan/Race: Eagle, Firan
Official Statement
Just because you're all suspected of murder and slated to be executed by the end of the night, doesn't mean that excuses you from work. Priest Tatomir sent me to make sure that you keep digging, breaking rocks, and clearing this land to the very last minute. But you're in luck. He also sent me to get an official statement, including your name and what you know about your master's death, from each of you. If you can prove to him that none of you, or only one of you killed Governor Hralib--he might let you live. Why don't we start with Jalil--bet your pride smarts doesn't it? Went from being a big shot, a Clan Leader and a lord, to being a lowly slave, lower than even the whore you and your kind made me into. Bet you hate being a slave enough to kill Governor Hralib, don't you?
Background
While a Firan, the powers that be cast Dyanna low, and made her a whore for cheating on her precious Inarus. Well, now the tables are turned, aren't they? Dyanna has risen to the role of overseer for the Shamibelians, and has untold privileges and freedoms. She loves nothing more than to abuse and keep other Firans in line.
Relationships
- Czar -- Another overseer. He and Dyanna have a good working relationship.
- Tatomir -- Because Dyanna is a state owned slave, Tatomir is her supervisor.
- Aylina -- Dyanna's niece, and only real family.
- Savanna -- Sort of family, but always treated Dyanna badly when she was a whore.
Goals
- Dyanna should tattle anything she learns about what the Firans are planning to the Shamibelians.
- Dyanna should protect Aylina--she's the only family that Dyanna has left, and Aylina was always nice to her.
- Dyanna should make Aylina see the light--that life with the Shamibelians is wonderful next to that of living in Free Firan Cities.
- Dyanna suspects that Clan Leader Ania's children are being harbored somewhere in Anarinuell, and she means to find them and make them suffer in revenge for Ania throwing her in a brothel.
- Dyanna should keep the Firans in line--especially the "nobles". Not so noble now, are they?
- Dyanna should cast suspicion onto Inaya for 'taking away' Inarus and marrying him.

Dyanna Round One
Round One Reveal
Dyanna loves her new life as an overseer for the Shamibelians and had nothing against Hralib whatsoever. Why would she kill him?
Hralib liked Orsatos, but Throgana detested him, and was jealous of his growing influence in Hralib's life as his administrative assistant. Perhaps Orsatos and Throgana got into a heated argument that went too far, and he was forced to kill his own master before the truth came out.
Hralib forbid Melani to see Torianos, but she snuck away and defied him. Dyanna broke it up between them, but swore that she'd tell Hralib in the morning. Might Melani have killed Hralib to keep him from finding out?
Hralib thought Empyrean was a worthless slave, and forced him to learn to weave rope to "make himself useful" and gave him a lot of blue dyed pema to work with. The ropes that held the rug around Hralib's body were blue.
Dyanna saw Rodiste stash something in the catacombs after Hralib and Throgana's deaths were announced.
Rodiste had blood on his hands the morning Throgana and Hralib were found dead.
Hralib assigned Jalil to guard the catacombs the morning after Fidelia was sacrificed, because he said he knew Jalil would not want to see his old enemy given proper funeral rites. This made the other slaves look at Jalil darkly, and he may have wanted revenge for hurting his standing with them.
As well as Hralib generally treated Emma, he kept her apart from her father Jalil, and the two may have resented it enough to kill him.
Dyanna locked Melani in the back room of Zin's temple after she caught her with Torianos--hoping she would freeze to death. Perhaps Hralib found out what a bad slave Melani had been, came to confront her, and was drowned in the pool of Zin. By Melani, of course.
Dyanna saw Brizo in the Temple District on the Night of Obala's Pride, which was odd, because he was supposed to be sleeping at Vitara Nobifa's estate that night, wasn't he?
With Hralib missing, Lainath has been chopping up the totem poles for firewood, and the Ticanee slaves are up in arms over it. One of the totem poles went mysteriously missing.
Round One Conceal
Dyanna planned to lure Hralib into a temple on a cold night of the year, lock him in, and then make it look like his slaves did him in.
To that end, Dyanna stole the key to Zin's temple off of Hralib's keyring.
Tatomir sent Dyanna to inspect the Temple District, without Hralib knowing about it, to see if it would be more suitable as state property than as a private estate for Hralib's wife Pevifa. After all, the Temple District is a bit extravagant for a private plantation, and might serve Obala better if it all the buildings were dedicated to his worship.
Dyanna didn't have any problem with Hralib, but his slaves have been getting above themselves. They are haughty and disobedient. Dyanna will not be sorry to see them all executed tonight. They deserve nothing less.
Dyanna noticed that her bedroom door was tinkered with this morning, and that her bed linens were rumpled. Luckily, she did not have a chance to sleep much last night and wasn't in her room, because she is sure an intruder was there.
Round One Props
- A whip to beat on slaves with
- Weapon and Travel Permits
Dyanna Round Two
Round Two Reveal
Hashi's dog Spike is devoted only to his wife, Vitara Fissia, and she has trained it to kill on command. It could have left the scratch mark on Hralib's body and bitten off his finger.
Dyanna saw Forlanis drop a note during the Night of Obala's Pride that read, 'On my signal, kill him.'
Bivin regularly enjoys his sister Tabitha's huge tracts of land--he likes to keep it in the family. If his step-father Hralib found out, he'd have killed him to shut him up.
It's rather suspicious that Tatomir is missing his sacrificial knife.
Aylina has been known to put a potion or two, or special herb into her cooking. Hralib ate some of her stew that night, in a spicy food contest. What if it was poisoned?
Dyanna knows that although Akiva and Aylina are friends, they have been fighting lately. Dyanna is sure Akiva knows something about Aylina that she isn't saying -- something suspicious, no doubt.
Sarina and Throgana never got along because Throgana thought that Sarina might usurp her place as Hralib's favorite slave, and the jealousy was mutual. Dyanna would not be surprised to find that Sarina had strangled Throgana to death.
Anorna thought it was an insult that Hralib was made Governor of Anarinuell instead of her master, Ruffialo. Obala knows she has had plenty to prove to him now that she's back, and much to make up for in terms of her having 'escaped', so mightn't she have killed Hralib to impress her master?
When Osirus was first captured, Hralib made him get on all fours like an animal, and eat grain from a bowl--against the Hydran Warrior Code. Osirus has hated him ever since.
Osirus has been telling the other slaves that the only way to get free is to cut the head from the body--murder Hralib, and maybe the Shamibelians will have to retreat from Anarinuell.
Round Two Conceal
Dyanna has a weird spidey sense that someone is trying to kill her. Possibly a Bonduin. She smelled a spice in her room only used by Bonduins when she found it tampered with today.
Round Two Props
Round Two Additional Goals
- Prevent anyone from actually figuring out who killed Hralib and Throgana--Hralib's slaves deserve to take the blame and die.
- Find out who is trying to kill you and why.
Dyanna Round Three
Round Three Reveal
Dyanna has heard Sarina going around saying that Hralib's keyring was missing the key to the Temple of Zin. How would she know unless she is the one who stole the keyring, and she is the one who murdered Hralib to get it?
Inaya wanted favor with Obala more than anything -- maybe she killed Hralib and Throgana to try and curry favor with Tatomir, and through him, Obala?
Round Three Conceal
It's true that Dyanna intended to freeze Hralib to death and blame his slaves for it, but she never got the chance. Between Aylina getting her drunk, and all the excitement of getting to whip Akiva, she needed to get home and get some sleep so that she could be up early for guard duty.
Round Three Props
Round Three Additional Goals
- Convince one of those tough Shamibelian masters that he really wants to submit to your whip.
