Zeysani's War: Eagles Move In

Reports came in of amassing Shamibelian troops and pilots. Zeysani and her general Lady Ishani Tanelish were shot down as they rendezvoused with their army, but reports were unsure of who was behind it. Chimeras or Shamibelians were both named; the report was further confused by a sighting of Draugik. Gold Dragon troops moved in to assist the Eagles with their borders but fighting broke out between the two clans over old grudges and fears of 'liberation' as in the case of the Cockatrice.
As for the Cockatrice Clan themselves, Lord Banian was discovered missing and was rescued by the Didoron lords. He reportedly was lured away by being told his mother Ibania wished to see him. Clan Leader Nydiam was so relieved that he removed any stain from the Didoron line's past actions.
Also reported kidnapped were Lord Rodellos (who had the Hydran Medallion) and Lady Yolette, their guards found slaughtered.
Zeysani and Ishani recovered from their attack and met with their armies in the field. Without waiting for the assistance of the mobilized Republican troops they began their assault on the fortified city. The assault was met with much resistance and heavy casualties on the Eagle side. Mer Hadinikas was able to infiltrate the city during the attack and assassinate Pavan. Despite losing his own life in the process, his family was later payed a hefty reward by the Eagle throne for his success.
