Overview
The Elikista family is the Ruling family in the Chimera clan. Originally formed after it was announced that Her Honor Inaya Eliamik would be wed to Lord Inarus Iberik. It had been long argued that the Chimera should have its own ruling family, with a designation separate from that of the elianik family from which its leadership had come. In october of 38 A.U. Lord Inarus and Her Honor Lady Inaya were married, it marked the founding of a new noble family. In 40 A.U. when Inaya stepped down from the position of clan leader, her son Torianos took the reigns and announced that he had given up his title of Prince and would take the last name of Elikista along with his wife Melani.
During its short history, thus far the Elikista family has been both shown in stories of glory and misfortune. In the year 39 A.U. Conspiracy struk the Republic. The Antonian Apostasy as it was later called shook the Chimera clan and the young Elikista family to the core, when Lord Inarus was implicated as part of it. After being tried before the Clan Council he was found to have no involvement and cleared of charges relating to this event.
The next major event that shook the family was the death of Lady proxy Melani Elikista. The daughter of The Viceroy and Clan Leader Taria Oshta was killed during the Liberation of Ellish. When her final wishes were disclosed at her funeral it caused an uproar within the Chimera clan, as she stated that she wanted her children to return to the Ticanee Clan, Leaving her husband and the father of the children in disbelief. The events that surrounded her funeral have kept relations between the two families on a very tense footing.
