Overview
An older man with a somber expression., Esen has light blue eyes, short straight dark blond hair and fair skin. Esen appears to weigh about 175 pounds and stands about 5'7" tall. A tall but sparse man, his body is lean, though muscled. His hands show the wear of manual labor, an unusual trait for a nobleman to have. Esen's quiet face is set into a serious studious expression and his light eyes often have a far away or thoughtful look in them, as if he prefers to deal with a world far away rather than the one right in front of him. It's the look of a dreamer, something that hasn't faded with age.
Early Life
Not much is known about Esen's life before becoming a noble. This is in part because the people don't generally care about commoners until they do something noteworthy, but those who knew the man know that he was quiet even then. Word is that he was actually a member of the Gold Dragon clan, and still has at least one relative in the clan, Mer Vicdan Darkas. When Esen's parents were both killed by the Breath Plague in 20 A.U., his aunt, Zayes, adopted both him and his sisters, Ranazeel and Carana. Not too long thereafter, she won the nobility prize at the festival, making her adopted children nobles as well.
Nobility
Lord Esen hasn't taken well to his nobility at all. While many look forward to becoming noble and being able to stop menial labours, Esen missed being about to practice carpentry and in fact was frequently seen visiting the same locations after he was ennobled as he did before. It wasn't until after Ranazeel's death as part of the aftermath of Zeysani's War did Esen truly become at all active in the city of his birth.
Factions
Esen is both a centurion in the guards and an initiate of Kamnestra. This latter part is the more interesting fact for several reasons. For one thing, to be an initiate you must be able to craft. This means that nobility is uncommon in the order, if not completely absent. Secondly, the trial to become a full priest of Kamnestra is to be a beggar for the span of one month. As nobility usually live a very cushy lifestyle, most would not even consider undertaking the task. Those who know the noble wonder if he'll even undertake the trial, or chicken out and drop out of the order.
Married Life
Despite being 40, Esen has never married. He has, however, been seen courting various different women.
He was seen socializing with Lady Zelva for quite some time, starting with Zayes' post-humous return to Anarinuell. Various circumstances were said to have gotten in the way, and it was finally terminated because she's too old to produce valid heirs.
He was to be wed to Xamori Terzanik, but after a prolonged absence from the city, she eventually married Lord Fiero.
He married Lady Carina, a former Terzanik after a long courtship. It was a quiet marriage during the Fall Festival.
