Endeera has arrived.

Endeera enters followed by 2 body guards.

Beyza stops just outside the door to Xamori and Fiero's room, knocking lightly, "M'Lady? Your Lady Grandmother is here to see you." *Firan*

Dying Fiero is laying in the bed, the covers drawn up around him. His skin is ashen and sweat beads upon his forehead, often streaking down his face to drip from his chin. He's unwell, and his breaths are shallow and strained. There is an audible wheeze coming from his ruined chest as his eyes glaze in and out of focus, fighting for every second of consciousness he has.

It seems that Fiero and Xamori went straight from the boat to the house, as they're both still dirty. Xamori is void of expression, as she opens the door. "It's a good thing you came now. The healers think he'll be gone in a day or two at the most."

Beyza makes her curtsey as does her Daughter, Bey gives a small sad smile to Fiero and murmurs, to Xamori, "I will leave you to your family m'Ladies, M'Lord." She turns and starts back out of the room, still there's no spring in the Nanny's step. *Firan*

"Then you have a day or two to cherish," Endeera notes solemnly, actually extending one hand forward to take Xamori's. "He shall die a hero, my dear. There is no more honourable way to meet Lord Unot. Mes Beyza, please see to it that tea is brought. And perhaps a little wine, thank you."

Beyza nods her head and says softly, "Of course m'Lady." She steps out to do as she was asked. *Firan*

Beyza heads toward the Teranzik Estate -- Cubicula.
Beyza has left.
Castia, a child has left.

Dying Fiero struggles to make out the figures in the doorway but he is having trouble doing so. Struggling to speak he manages, "Xamori.." his cut and bloodied hand reaching out towards the direction of the voices, "Please don't leave me alone.." *Firan*

Xamori nods her head as her hand is squeezed. "He is a hero, but that doesn't make it any less painful, Lady Grandmother." She moves back over to the bed to put the wet cloth on his forehead like the healers showed her how to do. "Fiero..." she says gently, "I am right here. My Lady Grandmother Endeera has come to see you." *Firan*

Beyza comes in from the cubicula.
Beyza has arrived.
Beyza enters followed by 2 body guards.

"Lord Fiero," Endeera greets the man quietly. "I am humbled to be in the presence of a hero, the like of which we have not known since the Great War. The city, the clan, the family and I all owe you our gratitude. I am proud to know that you are my grandson."

Beyza knocks lightly and returns a small tray in her hand, a pot of tea, a tea cup, a bottle of wine and a glass carefully balanced on it. Setting the tray down, the nanny goes about pouring the cup of mint tea for Endeera, and then she pours a glass of wild berry wine for Xamori. Waiting for Endeera to give her speech she serves the tea silently.

Dying Fiero closes his eyes at the wet cloth, no doubt suffering from dehydration as his lungs and throat are burned beyond repair from the lightning. He licks his dry lips and his intense sapphire gaze moves to Endeera as she speaks. He attempts to smile, despite the pain raging in his eyes. "You speak too highly of me, Lady Endeera. I am merely a man who has done his duty. It is I who am honored to be your kin, Lady Endeera. Your granddaughter has brought me more joy than any man ever deserves. I consider my greatest achievement in life as having earned the love and respect of such an amazing woman..." *Firan*

Xamori takes a seat on the edge of the bed and remains silent, letting her grandmother and husband exchange their last words. She does squeeze his hand as he speaks of her.

Endeera nods her head in thanks for the tea, setting it aside for now. "May your soul rest easy, Lord Fiero," she finally offers, briefly touching his shoulder. "Xamori, take a little wine, dear. You shall need your strength." *Firan*

A woman with a beautiful smile, Xamori has vibrant blue eyes, mid-back
length wavy black hair and olive skin. Xamori appears to weigh about
115 pounds and stands about 5'0" tall. With her exceptionally
beautiful features and the proud way she has of holding her chin,
Xamori has an obvious charm seemingly surrounding her. She has a
captivating, dimpled smile and her bright blue eyes sparkle with life,
but she's also always as proper as can be, always dressed impeccably
and keeping her hair pinned up as she should.

Xamori is wearing: a ~<( Honor and Beauty Platinum and Gold Wedding
Necklace )>~, a Braided Platinum Ring with Locking Rings, a Delicate
Lady's Keyring, a Mysterious Hooded Sable Fur Cloak, a Rings of
Justice Pair of Leather Boots Laced with Deep Purple Silk Laces, a
Ring of Love, a Rings of Justice Silk Robe Embroidered with
Interlocked Rings, and a Rings of Justice Silk Tunic Stitched with
Embroidered Rings.

Xamori is definitely wider about the middle.

Xamori looks to be in general good health.
Xamori is rank! Xamori is in dire need of a bath.

Dying Fiero weakly lifts Xamori's hand to his dry lips. Kissing it as he says, "Not too much now...we are having a baby." To Endeera he smiles serenely and says, "My soul may rest now that Ellish is free...the souls of so many may finally rest in peace." *Firan*

Beyza turns to get the wine, offering it over to the younger Lady. And whispering softly, "Lady Endeera is right sweet Lady." She nods to Fiero's words and then says gently, "I will be out in the hall should you need me." *Firan*

Beyza drops the mint tea.
Beyza drops the wild berry wine.
Beyza heads toward the Teranzik Estate -- Cubicula.
Beyza has left.

Xamori takes the wine given to her with a numb nod, obeying her grandmother and her nanny, as she takes a large swallow of it before setting the goblet next to her on a table.

Beyza comes in from the cubicula.
Beyza has arrived.
Beyza is followed by Katriana.
Katriana has arrived.
Beyza enters followed by 2 body guards.

Katriana enters followed by 5 Chimera clan guards, 1 Gold dragon clan guards and 2 republic guards.

Dying Fiero turns his gaze on Endeera and says, "Promise me that you will look after her. After my children. See that they are raised understanding what exactly their father did, and there is no greater noble calling than sacrifice for the common good." *Firan*

Beyza returns with the acting Queen following her, she enters once more and licks her lips, "Her highness, the Acting Queen, Princess Katriana." The Nanny announces, before stepping aside she allows the princess through. *Firan*

Endeera takes a moment before settling her hand on Xamori's shoulder for a brief, uncharacteristic squeeze before replying to Fiero. "It should be my honour and my duty, my dear. Let it be the wish of every young man to live and die so honourably. Any who fought this year shall stand up proudly, and we shall be honoured to be able to say we knew those who fell in the name of Ellish." *Firan*

Katriana waddles in, only one guard with her to help her walk. She looks tired, and her eyes are red-rimmed. She doesn't speak yet. Instead, she stands there.

A young woman with beguiling eyes, Katriana has sea green eyes,
upper-thigh length gently curling, mahogany hair and olive skin.
Katriana appears to weigh about 135 pounds and stands about 5'5" tall.
This young woman's eyes are remarkable. The orbs stare out from a
fringe of sooty lashes that accent the unique oceanic color of them.
They change color with her emotions, ranging from a sky blue to the
deepest of malachite greens like the depth of the sea itself. Rarely
does she allow herself to gaze straight upon a person, though when she
does her eyes are almost mesmerizing, beckoning with a glance. She has
high cheekbones, an aquiline nose, and lush lips. Olive skin paired
with, sea-green eyes, and her dark hair lend an exotic and almost
gypsy beauty to the woman. Her carriage is regal and she moves with
fluidity and grace. Her body has blossomed into soft curves giving her
an hourglass figure. When she smiles she looks almost angelic, eyes
afire with passion. Her hair has been braided and then wrapped into a
bun. It looks particularly well-done.

Katriana has a forthcoming blessing of Eesha's. The time is probably
no more than six weeks away or so.

Katriana looks to be in general good health.
Katriana smells fresh and clean like she's just been to the baths!

An elderly woman with a heart-shaped face, Endeera has dark brown
eyes, long straight graying dark brown hair and olive skin. Endeera
appears to weigh about 160 pounds and stands about 5'6" tall. Dignity
and grace are an air that stay well with Endeera, as age doesn't dare
to show itself much upon her features. Fine lines crease her brow,
which could easily be wrinkles were it not for the easy smile and
laugh she's able to exude. Her dark hair is speckled with light traces
of gray, though stubbornly refuses to turn completely so. While
shoulder length, her hair is usually kept pinned or coiffed atop her
head.

Dying Fiero(#57121PXcefj?kg#>)

A man with a long face and high forehead, Dying Fiero has sapphire
blue eyes, shaved curly blond hair and fair skin. Dying Fiero appears
to weigh about 170 pounds and stands about 5'8" tall. He's a solidly
built man of average stature, and his muscles are well-toned, his
hands calloused. Yet Fiero is smooth of cheek and placid of demeanor.
It's the eyes that carry all his intensity. He has a slave tattoo on
his right shoulder.

Dying Fiero is wearing: a ~<( Honor and Strength Platinum and Gold
Wedding Necklace )>~, a Dance of Death Linen Tunic with Crimson
Accents, and a Dance of Death Pair of Leather Boots with Crimson
Accents.

Xamori is sitting on the edge of the bed, holding the hand of her dying husband and surprisingly composed. Like Katriana's her eyes are red, as well, but she's holding it together for now. She gestures for the Princess to come further into the room.

Dying Fiero nods towards Endeera as tears begin to flow from his eyes. He doesn't make a sound as he cries, but the tears flow freely. Unchecked in such an intimate gathering. He is silent for several moments, collecting himself and steadying his voice as he says, "I pray that what we accomplished this year is not soon forgotton. That the politicians of our people do not fall into petty bickering and mar the great sacrifice and true nobility of spirit that our people have realized. Let not the peace so hard won, be lost so quickly." *Firan*

Endeera turns her attention to Katriana, bowing her head lightly in greeting. "Lady Acting Queen, a little tea?" she offers, falling back on old, safe habits. *Firan*

"Perhaps a bit later, Lady Shadina." Katriana says, as she waddles closer to the bed and puts a hand on Xamori's shoulder. A nod is given and the one remaining guard is gone. Someone here can help her up if she falls. Her eyes fall on Fiero and she smiles, though a melancholy one. "My curls, what on Aerval have you done with them?" she asks Fiero, trying to keep the mood light for the moment.

Beyza murmurs softly that once again she'll be out in the hall should she be needed.
Beyza heads toward the Teranzik Estate -- Cubicula.
Beyza has left.

Dying Fiero smiles at Katriana and reaches up to touch his shaved head. "I shaved them off so that I would not be recognized by Hralib or any of the other Shamibelians. Not that it worked." he squeezes Xamori's hand and says, "I wish now that I hadn't..but hindsight is perfectly clear." *Firan*

Katriana's words bring a smile to Xamori's face, be it a small one. At her whisper, Xamori nods her head yes. "You didn't go down easily for them either. It took two bolts to bring you down."

Ginger, the toy spaniel watches alertly, wagging her tail.

"I think, perhaps, I ought to take my leave," Endeera notes softly. "Xamori, my dear, should you require anything at all, do please send for me. I shall not intrude further on the time left."

Katriana nods to Endeera, "Good Day, Lady Shadina." *Firan*

Dying Fiero chuckles and then groans as his chest sears with pain. He pants and the sweat beads up on his forhead once more. "I'm a stubborn man, Xamori, you know that. It will take more than two bolts of lightning to kill me.." He makes a poor attempt at reassurance. As Endeera makes her departure Fiero turns to her, catching her hand. "It was a pleasure Lady Endeera. May we meet again." *Firan*

"Count on it, Lord Fiero," Endeera responds simply. "I shall trust you to have tea waiting."

Dying Fiero grins and dips his head, taking one final look at Endeera as she goes.

Xamori rises from the bed to show her grandmother out the door. "Thank you for coming to see him, Lady Grandmother. I will let you know when he..." Her voice trails off unable to bring herself to say it. *Firan*

Katriana waits until the three of them are alone and waddles nearer the bed and kneels to whisper to Fiero.

Endeera heads toward the Teranzik Estate -- Cubicula.
Endeera has left.

You sense Katriana whispers, "I'll watch over her for you, Fiero. I.. I am sorry we had not more time to spend together. You were one of the /only/ men in the Republic who would teasingly flirt with me.. and actually acted as a friend. I will miss you so very much." She glances at Xamori, "She will need support -- I will give it... I ... I.." And she starts to cry.

Katriana's tears fill her eyes and regardless of your other feelings, you feel sympathy if only for a time.

You whisper "You are dear to me, your Highness. Promise me that you will never let anything happen to her. She needs your friendship now more than ever. She carries my child as we speak and I fear that the birth will not be easy. Promise me that you will do everything in your power to see that child lives. It is the last thing she will have of me. Of us..make sure she has the best midwife in the city...and love her. Love her as I loved her. That is all I ask." to Katriana. *Firan*

Dying Fiero whispers back to Katriana and pats her hand as she cries, "We are honored to have the Acting Queen at my bedside. You are a friend to us both, and I know that you will do as I ask." He says simply. *Firan*

With Endeera gone, Xamori finally breaks down and the tears begin to flow down her face. She moves back to the bed to take Fiero's hand once again, after he finishes with the Princess.

Lord Rascal, the toy spaniel fetches a stick and brings it over to one of the humans in the area, clearly wanting to play!

Katriana moves to put an arm around Xamori, "I will honor your wishes, Fiero." She's told none of this but says, "I have a monument being erected near the Palace. The ... names of all fallen to free Ellish will be inscribed by their family." She looks to Xamori. "Lord Donos' name will go first. After that... each .. person can go.." She still cries, her tears coming freely. "This will not be an easy birth for me either. I have lost a father, a brother, and one of my best friends.." *Firan*

Dying Fiero smiles at Katriana, attempting to reassure her as he has Xamori. "I fought alongside both, and I witnessed their acts of true bravery and heroics. Mourn them, but hold your chin proudly knowing that they did not die in vain. They died a noble and selfless death. I am proud that I was able to serve with them." *Firan*

Xamori nods to Katriana, "I've lost a brother-n-law and..." She completely breaks down now, "How am I supposed to tell our children..." *Firan*

Katriana moves to Xamori's side and hugs her tightly, if she allows. "You... you do the same as I. I lost a husband not long ago -- one I really, truly loved with all my heart and who felt the same of me. I have nothing of him -- not a black curl, not a note, he didn't even know I was blessed with our last child. I tell his children the greatness of their father -- every day." And again she cries, clutching Fiero's hand. *Firan*

Dying Fiero tears flow as he sees Xamori breakdown. He reaches for her, but there is really nothing he can do. He can not stay, no matter how badly he wants to. "I will tell them, so that you do not have to. I do not know if I can make them understand...I'm not sure I understand myself. My body may be broken and gone, but my heart is here with you. Always. My joy and my very exsistance lives on in each one of them. In the one you carry now. My love lives on in you. Do not let them forget me, and make sure that they know I loved their mother more than life itself. That I died so that they could live in a world of peace. That there was no sacrifice to large that I wouldn't give for them. For all of us." *Firan*

A knock sounds on the door leading to Anarinuell: Bear District -- Teranzik Estate -- Cubicula.

Xamori pulls herself together for a calm moment. "They will hear so many stories about you, they'll be sick of them. They will know you died strong, died proud and died for them."

Xamori shouts, "Door's open."

Empyrean comes in from the cubicula.
Empyrean has arrived.
Empyrean enters followed by 12 republic guards.

Katriana nods her head to Fiero, "There will be -- I will make sure -- I swear it Fiero." she says, wiping tears from her cheeks. "I... I am so sorry we did not get to play poker again. That is really how we met, you know." she says, trying her best to summon a smile. "And I never got to touch those glorious golden curls either." *Firan*

Empyrean comes into the room quietly and turns his attention to the dying man who seems to have made it home in time to say his farewells? Empyrean is not quite sure, so his inquisitive gaze falls on Fiero, and then towards Katriana as she is surely speaking to someone. "Where is he?" He says, of the people in the room. *Firan*

Katriana is kneeling near Fiero's bed, her big belly supporting her. She has one of Fiero's hands.

Empyrean looked at you.

Dying Fiero is laying in the bed, the covers drawn up around him. His skin is ashen and sweat beads upon his forehead, often streaking down his face to drip from his chin. He's unwell, and his breaths are shallow and strained. There is an audible wheeze coming from his ruined chest as his eyes glaze in and out of focus, fighting for every second of consciousness he has, but he is talking and even smiling from time to time. He smiles weakly at Katriana and says, "I will surely miss losing all of my money to you, Princess. It was always such a pleasure. Perhaps Xamori will even drench me in that cologne you liked so much for the funeral. Gods know I need a bath." *Firan*

Xamori looks up from her spot on Fiero's other side, as the door opens and Empyrean enters. "Lord Deputy Deputy Viceroy, I believe is the title?" She stands up, "I was about to tell you personally of our arrival home. He wished to be here when he...and the healers allowed it." *Firan*

Katriana doesn't get up. She smiles at Fiero, "I think we should be able to get you a bath.... and some nice cologne." she says, trying again to summon a smile. "I do wish I had something to give you.." *Firan*

Empyrean comes further in the room and stares at the man on the bed, speaking weakly. "Lord Fiero," he says, shaking his head. "Our bravest and likely the most adept warrior this house has, lays dying." The man seems sincere in his rather sad look at Fiero. "At the very least you got to see Ellish. I will do all I can to honour your memory Lord." He is terrible at goodbyes really. Very bad at them. Then he nods to Xamori, "I suppose that is the title." As if such mattered at this moment in time. His look back to Fiero. "Ensure you document his last wishes and we shall see to it." He speaks to either of the women who mourn with him in his final moment. He, however, appears ready to leave. *Firan*

Katriana looks up at Empyrean, face tear stained. She doesn't hold a smile for him. In fact, she holds.... a rather blank look. "I will write a song for you, Fiero. For the love you have for Xamori and your family and your sacfrice -- similar to this.." *Firan*

Dying Fiero gives a strong nod to Empyrean, "I saw Ellish liberated. I saw great men sacrifice for the good of the Republic. I have one request of you Lord Teranzik. See that my beloved wife and my children are always cared for. They are the only things that weigh upon my soul as I make my transition. Care for them as your own, and I will die in peace. *Firan*

Empyrean looks at Fiero and nods, before turning that gaze to Xamori. "That has," and his eyes travel back to the man, "and always will be a priority of mine. You can rest easy knowing they shall always be cared for. Gods bless you in your travels to Unot." He scrunches his face to keep all emotion on the inside before departing the room. *Firan*

Empyrean heads toward the Teranzik Estate -- Cubicula.
Empyrean has left.

Katriana just sighs as Empyrean leaves. She bites her lip as if wanting to say something, but she never does.

Xamori gives Empyrean a grateful nod which he misses. Like Katriana, she wishes to lighten the mood a little. "I am starting to think I'm a Hydran woman with all these people you have looking after me, as if I couldn't take care of myself." Wait, Katriana is Hydran. "No offense, Princess." *Firan*

Dying Fiero exhales and then smiles at Katriana, "It's a lovely song. Donos was the best man I ever knew. Truely. If you ever need inspiration..I wrote something once. It's in my war trunk. If Xamori will show you, it would make a good song I believe. Not that I know anything about singing. Dancing..." He turns to smile at Xamori. "I loved to dance. What I wouldn't give to dance with you just once more." *Firan*

"DO IT!" Katriana says, "I have 8 guards that would help you up!" she says and smiles at Xamori, "No offense, Lord Empyrean just doesn't speak or even acknowledge me anymore. It hurts me sometimes.." She moves back a bit with a nod, "I will surely put it to song if Xamori lets me see it."

Xamori looks a little skeptical at Fiero dancing, but says nothing. "I will send you the scroll when I go through those chests." After all the goodbyes are done. *Firan*

Katriana has to do it. Yes, she reaches up and touches where Fiero's curls were. She can say she TOUCHED THE best hair on all Aerval.

Dying Fiero glowers at Xamori's skepticism. "I can dance woman. I might not be able to do the loins on fire dance, like I did our first masked ball. Remember? When I wore that loincloth?" he laughs and then grins at Kat as she rubs his fuzzy head. "I always regretted that none of my sons had blonde hair. Though brown curls are just as nice, I suppose." He waves Kat's guards over and he uses them to get out of bed, nearly collapsing, but steady as he'll ever be. He grunts in pain but he's a stubborn man, and his wife has given him a challenge, one that he will not back down from. "May I have this dance, my Lady?" he doesn't expect to waltz around the room, but holding her close and swaying is just like dancing, right? *Firan*

Katriana gestures her guards foward and moves out of the way. She smiles, a few tears springing back into her eyes.

Xamori takes his hand as she wraps her arms around him gently. Looking up into his eyes, she forgets that Kat is in the room for a moment.

Dying Fiero wraps his arms around Xamori and smiles down at her. His eyes filled with such love and utter sadness, but he smiles down at his wife, using every bit of strength he has to be strong for her. A single tear falls down his cheek and he closes his eyes, laying his cheek against the top of her head as he whispers something to her.

Katriana sings, Remember, beautifully. Katriana's voice is ethereal as she sings of Lord Fiero's sacrifice for freedom.

Remember, I will always be here
As long as you hold me
Let me remain in memory
Remember me
Remember, when your dreams have ceased
Time is soemtimes transcended
Remember me
I am the one star in Unot's skies
that burns ever so brightly
It is the last light to fade into Zutiv's glory
I'm with you
Whenever you tell, my story
For I am all I've done
For freedom
Remember, I will still be here
As long as you hold me
In memory
Remember me
I am the one voice in Uf's windthat whispers in your ear
And if you listen, you'll hear me call across the sky
As long as my memory touches you, Xamori
Then I will never die

Katriana sings some background music while the two dance.

You whisper "I love you more than I could ever properly express. I will never leave you, Xamori. I'll be here as long as you remember, Xamori...Always." to Xamori. *Firan*

Katriana keeps to the background, now waddled to a couch to sit and just slowly singing for the couple to dance.

Luckily her friend's guards are helping Fiero, because Xamori collapses against as she begins to sob onto his tunic as she hears Kat's song. Moreso when he whispers into her ear. "I can't do this. I can't say goodbye to you. I can't let you go."

Dying Fiero nearly goes down with her, but thank God for guards. He holds her up, with their help, clinging to her as he chokes on a sob, "We don't ever have to say goodbye Xamori...please don't let me go. I'll be here..I'll always be here. I swear to you.." *Firan*

Katriana sings the words to the wedding song with such exquisite beauty the notes flow into a crescendo of pure celestrial emotion.

Katriana sits on the couch and sings and cries... it's the best she can do.

Xamori straightens up to not be a burden on his broken body. Nodding her head, she looks up at him with the tears still stinging her eyes. "Never. I will never let you go. I swear." *Firan*

Katriana backs a little towards the door, "Xamori, do you want me to leave you two.." she says, her voice breaking once more. *Firan*

Dying Fiero flashes Xamori his charming smile and says, "Good, because I will never let you go. I will never let you forget me and I will never stop loving you." He kisses her forehead, running his fingers through her hair and cupping her cheek as he stares into her eyes. *Firan*

Xamori helps the guards guide Fiero back to his bed as she helps him get comfortable. She turns to Katriana and nods her head. "Please? I need to be alone with him before I bring the children in here." *Firan*

Katriana nods to Xamori. She waddles forward and leans down to kiss Fiero's cheek, "Fiero, I will not ever forget you. I loved you like a brother, though a handsome brother at that. I promise on all that I am that I will always be here for Xamori." she says, before moving to hug Xamori, "Xamori, I'm only a message away." *Firan*

Xamori hugs her friend and whispers something in her ear as forces a smile to her face. "Thank you, for everything, Princess. I know my days ahead will be easier because of you." *Firan*

Dying Fiero returns the kiss on Kat's cheek and says, "I love you to, Katriana. May we meet again one day. I will forever be in your debt for your love and devotion to Xamori. Please be well, and take care of that baby..and mine." *Firan*

Katriana nods to Fiero, new tears coming to her cheeks as she waits to be led out.

Scorn, the large hound sits with head held high, watching the area vigilantly.

Katriana heads toward the Teranzik Estate -- Cubicula.
Katriana has left.

Xamori sings, Remember, with grace. Xamori's voice is almost ethereal as she sings of Lord Fiero's sacrifice for freedom. He will always be remembered.

Messenger for Xamori approaches Xamori and makes a delivery.
Messenger for Xamori has left.

"It only because I love you so much, Fiero." Xamori curls up next to him, as she places a hand gently on him. "You gave me five beautiful years and five beautiful children even if one isn't born yet."

Dying Fiero wraps an arm around her, holding her and comforting her to the very end. "I love you, Xamori. More than I've ever loved anyone. I wanted to give you so many things. I had so many plans for us...so many more children. So many more years of happiness. I wanted to grow old with you. To watch our children grow, and our grandchildren...I hope that you can forgive me for missing the rest of our life together." *Firan*

"You gave your life to the cause you believed in so deeply. If you had to die a death, I am glad it was one such as this. That you saw all those people enslaved, broke free of their chains." Xamori wipes her tears with the edge of her robe. "As much as I wanted those things, you gave me a wonderful life. You'll live on in each of your children."

Dying Fiero says, "I am sorry that I could not keep my promise to you. I came so close...we came so close. Though I am grateful that the God's allowed me enough time to make amends. I just hope you truely know how much I love you. How much I've always loved you. From the moment I saw you...I knew that you were what I was born to dedicate my life to. You, Xamori. No one else." *Firan*

The tears are once again flowing freely down Xamori's face. "I know you love me and I hope you know how much I dearly love you. This pain is nothing compared to what you've given me over the past five and half years. I will bear the pain because of every moment you've given me. You have to know that you're my one and only, no matter what happens in the future. I will never love another man."

Dying Fiero sighs. He hadn't even thought of another man..husband...father to his children. Much like he was to Nilara. He takes a shuddering breath and can only whisper as he says, "The thought of you marrying another makes my heart ache with the darkest despair i've ever felt...but I know that I can not be selfish. Now is not the time. I could never ask you to live the rest of your life alone...I can not ask that of you. Whatever your future holds without me..I will understand and will love you anyway. I will wait for you in the heavens. Wait with baited breath for the day that you come to me." *Firan*

"You know I have no control over my life in that aspect, but if I have my way, I will never be with another. You are the only man as far as I am concerned." Xamori is still crying openly, "I do not know how I am supposed to go on without you. How I am supposed to be brave for our children? How I am supposed to do my duty? When I feel my very soul is being shredded."

Dying Fiero holds her close to his chest, kissing her softly as he says, "They can make you marry another, they can not make you lay with him in our bed, or carry his children. There are limits to such things. Those are decisions that are yours and yours alone." He runs his fingers through her hair, touching her as if it might be the last time, because it could very well be the last time. He inhales deeply, taking in her scent as he says, "You are a strong woman. A Bear woman. You are born to carry on. Take pride in seeing my face in those of our children. Be brave for they are my legacy. They are what remains of me in this world. I will not let your soul be shredded, for my heart and soul is with you. It's yours. Always yours." *Firan*

Xamori rubs her stomach, where her last child grows, "I will never have another one. This will be the last time I lay in a bed with a man." She shakes her head, "I don't want to be strong. I want to stay here with you, forever. If there wasn't the children, I would follow you into the next life. No one loved me like you. No one saw me like you did." *Firan*

A knock sounds on the door leading to Anarinuell: Bear District -- Teranzik Estate -- Cubicula.

Beyza comes in from the cubicula.
Beyza has arrived.
Beyza enters followed by 2 body guards.

Dying Fiero finally got some sleep for the night. A dangerous thing for a man in such poor health to do, but neccesary for any strength he may need. A wet gasp resounds as he awakens, his blue eyes rolling in his head as he stirs, the pain washing over him anew. He's worse than he was yesterday, if that is possible. His skin is ghostly white and his lips are outlined in blue. The end is near, there is no doubt of that, but the sparkle is not yet gone from the Bear Lord's eyes, though fading fast assuredly.

Entering the room, her arms full of food everything the Lady will need. She's still clad in mourning, "Morning m'Lord, m'Lady." She gives a tight smile, as it doesn't look like the Nanny has slept any at all. Moving over towards the amphora she starts to gently put the food into the vessel.

Xamori, on the other hand, doesn't look like she's slept and her eyes are red and swollen, but for now, she's composed. Which isn't to say any moment, she might not break down. Her dirty hair has at least been brushed by a hand maiden. That same servant lets Beyza in before leaving, so that Xamori does not have to leave her husband's side She gives the nanny a small but grateful smile as Beyza brings in the food she requested. "Thank you, Mes Beyza. I will eat shortly." *Firan*

Dying Fiero seems almost unsure if he's alive or dead, vaguely hearing voices as his mind reels trying to return from death enough to focus. He's alive only by sheer will of force and what little strength he has left. "Remember me.." he whispers repeatedly. His cold hand reaches out to his side, searching for Xamori as he says, "I hear you..It's so cold." *Firan*

Beyza shakes her head and moves over to Xamori, placing her hand on the Lady's shoulder and says gently, "My dearest, I know this is hard for you, but you should eat now. You will need your strength, and I know... I KNOW you are a strong woman." Giving a gentle squeeze to the woman's shoulder, and looks to Fiero and says gently, "Have you told the children?" *Firan*

Xamori pulls another fur over her husband's body. "Shhh, I am right here." Kissing his forehead, she takes a hold his hand, squeezing it before looking at Beyza. She shakes her head, "No, we have not. I think you should get them now, if you would, please?" *Firan*

Beyza nods her head and says gently, "I will return in a moment..." She looks to Fiero and says softly, "Only a moment I promise." *Firan*

Beyza heads toward the Teranzik Estate -- Cubicula.
Beyza has left.
Beyza comes in from the cubicula.
Beyza has arrived.
Beyza enters followed by 2 body guards.

Dying Fiero sighs in relief when he feels Xamori near him. Relaxing he sighs with contentment, his fears culled by the mere touch of her hand. Hearing the mention of his children brings a soft smile to his lips, "I'm so lucky.." he whispers to Xamori. *Firan*

A little girl with a mischievous grin, Toddler Geeya has vibrant blue
eyes, medium length curly light brown hair and tan skin. Her hair is a
wild spray of amber curls, sproinging out from her head in a halo and
giving her a look of barely restrained energy. With hair and skin
tones so close in color, she casts a golden shine, and her eyes flash,
brilliant and gem-like. Coupled with the health and vigor of one so
young, she's a treat for the eyes. Sweetly angellic. A naturally quiet
child, Geeya still seems to be an open book despite the fact that she
rarely speaks; emotions flashing unhidden in her bright blue eyes. Her
demeanor makes everything a dead give away. This is not to say she's
not sneaky; she's fleet-footed and quick, which makes her dangerous to
turn your back on. However, those who know her can usually tell when
she's about to get into some mischief. Geeya has a habit of swallowing
anything shiny. If it fits in her mouth, she'll try to swallow it down
for safe keeping. Obsessed with all things sparkly, if given a choice
between a ring and a tart, she'll eat the ring every time. She appears
to be around 4.

A little boy with a mischievous little grin, Toddler Xerxes has
vibrant blue eyes, medium length chestnut brown hair and tan skin.
This boy is a whirlwind of activity! Exuberant and enthusiastic,
Xerxes seems to take joy and thrill in any challenge or activity put
before him, especially physical activity. For a small little tot he is
very strong, sometimes too much for his own good. He has never grown
out of his habit of pulling hair and will often tease his sisters by
pulling on their neatly fixed hair, or will try to gain his mother's
attention by sneaking up behind her and grabbing a fistful of her hair
and yanking. In not realizing his own strength, he often hurts other
children when playing - consequently, he is seen as somewhat of a
bully by the other children. He seems to have inherited his mother's
love of horses, and animals in general. He will often return to the
mansion with one critter or another shoved into his pouch. Frogs,
bugs, snakes, it doesn't matter. If it's an animal, Xerxes wants it.
He appears to be around 3.

A little boy with a haughty smirk, Toddler Kratos has sapphire blue
eyes, short, curly, honey-brown hair and tan skin. This boy has a
roguish, dimpled smile which he uses to charm those he favors or
considers equals even at his young age. For those below noble status
his haughty smirk is the best they can hope to receive from the boy.
His stormy eyes are framed by thick, dark eyelashes and can show any
range of emotion from bemusement to demanding fury depending on the
time and whether or not he's gotten his way. The intensity behind
those young eyes can be quite startling if one is not prepared for it.
While large for his age, Kratos has no interest in any physical
activity. He detests being dirty and will lash out physically at whom
or whatever caused him to get dirty. He prefers the finery and
luxuries afforded to him by his station in life. He is vain and
extremely demanding, using charm or tantrum to attain whatever
material possession he desires at the moment. To say that he is
privileged and spoiled is an understatement. He is absolutely catered
to in most all of his demands. He can be darling to those adults he
cares for, yet usually a terror for his poor nanny. He appears to be
around 1.

You see a small baby boy with blue eyes, short brown hair, and olive
skin. This little boy has a sickly wheeze in his chest when he
breathes, and high coloring - lovely to look at but an overly delicate
appearance. The baby is happy! He appears to be around 1.

"I think we're the lucky ones," Xamori whispers back to Fiero. Already tears are brimming her eyes at the thought of her children saying goodbye to their father.

The door open and three children walk in, the fourth is brought in in the nanny's arms. When the brood sees their father they stop then look to Beyza, then their Lady mother. Giving a nod to the oldest, she moves over and places the baby on the bed, and the boy starts to babbble happily, "Da da da da da..." The oldest move over a little more slowly, the boys standing in front of their sister, as if protecting the child despite them being toddlers.

Dying Fiero squeezes Xamori's hand as his own begins to tremble. Tears roll down his cheeks but as the children get closer he takes a deep, wet breath and tries to be strong for his children. He reaches out and runs his hand down Alaric's face, smiling at him. "Da da.." he chuckles. He then looks over to the other children, "What? No running and screaming to see your father? I missed you all while I was gone. I got your pictures...I carried them in my backpack with me everyday. Come and see me.." *Firan*

Xamori pulls her festival baby into her arms and cradles him, hiding her face in the back of his head as she cries for a moment. Pulling herself together, she puts on a smile and looks at them. "My beautiful babies, I've missed you all so much. I cannot wait to cover the walls with all your pictures." She pats the bed, inviting them to climb up onto it, "Be gentle. No jumping on Daddy. He just woke up." *Firan*

Baby Alaric coos happily.

The children step forward and all as one they jump on the bed, and try their best not to throw themselves on their daddy. They hug him as gently as three little ones can, and rain kisses on him, "Welcome home Daddy." Geeya says cutely, "We missed you and love you!" Xerses reaches into his pocket and pulls out a small mouse, and shows it to his father, Beyza opens her mouth to ask him where he got that thing but she shuts it and shakes her head. Kratos, he curls up next to his father, hugging on him as gently as he can.

Dying Fiero kisses each child in turn, running his fingers through Geeya's hair as he says, "You are even more beautiful than I remembered! Look at how you've grown. You are a Lady now Geeya. A strong Bear woman, a proud Teranzik woman. I am so proud to have you as a daughter. My little Teffie." He reassures her as a single tears slips down his cheek. He'll get to the rest in a second. *Firan*

Xamori leans over to kiss Geeya on her cheek and laughs through tears that have hit her eyes once more. "You smell so much better than Mommy and Daddy do, Babygirl." *Firan*

Baby Alaric smiles!

The little girl beams proudly to her daddy, and says, "I am proud of you daddy." She looks to Beyza then to her mother and then back to her father, "Mes Beyza said you saved a bunch of people." She pouts a little and says, "She says you're going to go play with teffies now." She looks to Xamori and says, "Can I go play with teffies too mommy?"

Dying Fiero smiles at Geeya and says, "Daddy fought really hard to make you guys proud, and to free a lot of people that used to be like Daddy.." The air is knocked out of him when she says he's going to play with teffies. He swallows the lump in his throat and says, "The Gods have some things they need Daddy to do for them. I have to go away for a long time...and I would love to take you with me, but I need you to stay here and take care of Mommy and the babies while i'm gone, okay? You are getting older now and I need you to be strong. Daddy will miss you so much." *Firan*

Beyza's own breath catches at this and she politely excuses herself to step outside, not wanting to cry in front of the children, to stay strong for them.

Xamori glances at Beyza, giving her a grateful smile for putting it so perfectly into words for the children. "We'll be strong, won't we, Geeya. We'll tell lots of stories of Daddy for the boys." *Firan*

The little girl pouts but only for a moment until her mother speaks to her and then she gives a firm nod, "Yes mommy!" She looks to her daddy and says, "Can you tell Lady Uf I said Hi!" She beams proudly, her daddy is going to go play with teffies!

Dying Fiero touches the feathers that Geeya wears, much like his own. "I will tell her Babygirl, I promise." He then turns his attention on Xerxes, laughing joyfully at the mouse. "Well now! Look at that. A fine specimen if I ever saw one. I know that you love Audacious as much as I do, but Daddy is going to have to take Audacious with him. I need his help with the mission I'm going on. So don't be sad, okay? I have no doubt that Mommy will get you a new puppy. You are so strong Xerxes..Protect this family while I am away. I am depending on you to protect them all." *Firan*

Xamori loses it completely and has to turn away from this now as she begins to cry. Really cry. There is no more brave front as Fiero is telling this to their three year old son.

The little boy lets the mouse run up his arm to perch on his shoulder, how the boy ever got the mouse tame is anyone's guess, the boy nods his head and says, "Audacious.." Ok so it's not so clear, he's only three so... you get the point, "He's a good puppy, and he will keep you safe daddy, if not I'll have a talk with him and then he'll be nice!" The boy moves to sit up and looks to his mommy slipping down off the bed he goes to her and gives her a hug, laying his tiny head on her widening stomach, "Don't cry mommy, daddy will be a star!"

Xamori senses "Dying Fiero squeezes your hand."

Dying Fiero watches proudly, his chin lifting slightly as his son moves to comfort his mother. Perhaps assured that she will be taken care of, that there will be a new man in her life to wipe away the tears that he can not stop any longer.

Xamori places Alaric down by Fiero, so that he might have his moment with his father even if he'll never remember or understand all that is going on presently. Like Kratos. She hugs Xerxes tightly, her tears subsiding for the moment as she puts on the brave front for her children. "You are a very brave boy and I know you will protect us just like Daddy." *Firan*

Dying Fiero wraps an arm around Kratos, holding the boy close to him and then pulling Alaric to the other side of him. He kisses both boys on the head as he says, "You are all my greatest achievement, my greatest legacy. I love each and everyone of you and I promise that I will be looking down on you, I will be there for every achievement, every dissapointment. I'll be there. If you need me, just whisper my name, and I'll be there." *Firan*

The baby starts to babble happily, "Da da da da da da da da!" He bounces a little with each word and crawls over to curl up on the side opposite of Kratos, who just seems perfectly content to snuggle at his daddy's side.

Xamori looks almost relieved that the two little ones don't know what is happening as she pulls herself together like a good Bear Clan Woman is supposed to be. Of course, it take a few moments after Fiero's words to all of his children.

Beyza slips back in, and says softly, "I apologize for that..." The Old Nanny looks over the children and then to Xamori, moving over to the Lady she lays a comforting hand on the girl's.. well girl for Beyza's shoulder. *Firan*

Baby Alaric kicks happily.

Dying Fiero kisses the boys once more and then his entire body goes rigid, his eyes rolling back in his head as his jaw clenches. His body is shutting down, failing him despite his heart raging to fight on. A desperate look is flashed at Xamori as he fights the cries of pain and the tears, he doesn't have much time left.

Baby Alaric looks up adoringly.

Xamori looks to Beyza and gives her 'the look'. "My beautiful children, I think the excitement of seeing you all has made Daddy really tired, so why don't you go with Mes Beyza and color pictures for Daddy." *Firan*

Beyza nods her head and gives a big smile to the girl, and the boys, "Come on babies! Let's go and draw some pictures, maybe Mes Beyza will let you even get into her paints!" Kratos wrinkles his nose at that and shakes his head, "No get dirty!" He kisses his daddy on the cheek, then the rest follow, and Beyza scoops the baby up, and begins to babble to him. She gives Xamori a look in return, "I'll be across the hall if you need me." *Firan*

Xamori smiles at her perfect little babies. "Cakes, too. For being so good to Daddy. Lots of cakes." She gives Beyza a nod, "I'll call you if I need you." *Firan*

The Old nanny nods her head and then does something totally improper. She moves over to the bedside and leans down kissing Fiero on the cheek, and whispering softly to him before she straightens and turns to head back out.

Beyza whispers "I would gladly take your place if I could." *Firan*

Dying Fiero whispers, "Thank you for everything. Watch over them." to Beyza.

Beyza heads toward the Teranzik Estate -- Cubicula.
Beyza has left.
Toddler Geeya has left.
Toddler Xerxes has left.
Toddler Kratos has left.

Xamori finishes up the last scroll as she takes Fiero's hand places it on her stomach as the little Teranzik moves about in the womb. "I believe the baby is saying goodbye, too." *Firan*

Dying Fiero rubs Xamori's stomach and smiles so sadly. Tears stream down his cheek as his blue eyes stare up into hers, "Never goodbye, Xamori. Never goodbye." *Firan*

Xamori starts to cry all over again, "Then I believe your baby is telling you that he or she loves you very much. That while he or she knows you're gone, you won't be away gone completely. He or she is going to miss you so much." *Firan*

Dying Fiero smiles at Xamori and pulls her down to him, wrapping his arms around her and kissing her forehead, "I will miss you to, but I'm never gone. Not completely. I'm here.." The twinkle in his eye flashes as he says, "It's going to be a girl you know. I'm certain of it. A beautiful little baby girl. *Firan*

Xamori takes a deep breath, "I know you'll always be with me, but that doesn't mean my heart isn't breaking any less. Or that I will miss you any less tomorrow or ten years from now." She smiles at the thought of a girl and says, "You don't know that, Fiero. Whatever it is, it will be loved. *Firan*

Dying Fiero says, "I know.." He runs his hand over her stomach, just touching her and praying she'll remember the feel of his touch. His work roughened hands, not the hand of a noble, but the hands of a man who loved her more than life. "Please forgive me for slipping away Xamori..I'm holding on as long as I can." *Firan*

Xamori's eyes fill up with tears once more. "I know you are. I am holding onto you as long as I can. I promise I will be here until your very last breath." *Firan*

Dying Fiero smiles sadly and says, "You are the only thing I want to see when I take that last breath...your face is what I want to carry with me always.." *Firan*

Xamori wipes her tears on whatever clean cloth is available and runs her fingers through her greasy hair. "Your brother is on his way to see you." *Firan*

Xamori heads toward the Teranzik Estate -- Cubicula.v Xamori has left.
Xamori has arrived.
Xamori comes in from the cubicula.
Xamori is followed by Asishon.
Asishon has arrived.
Xamori enters followed by 3 Bear clan guards.

Asishon looked at you.

Dying Fiero is laying in the bed, a mountain of furs piled high over his body. Seems he's cold. His skin is ghostly white and there is a blue ring around his lips, clear to all that his body is failing and that time is limited. His eyes are glassy, but there is still that spark of life in them. His head turns to the side when the door opens and he smiles, "Ah the clown has arrived..." he says fondly. "I was hoping I'd see you before...before I had to go." *Firan*

Asishon ducks his way in following a servant. He even looks concerned not noting if the servant is a female. He has in his hand a coin that he flips up and down from his thumb in a nervous gesture. His eyes flicker the room before settling on Fiero. He just stands and watches for the moment. He looks like his features might settle into a grim set but at Fiero's words he smiles sadly, "You know me brother. I always hated to come before my cue. You're the one who always has to be early." He flips the coin again and steps forward, a quick glance towards his brother's wife and then forward to Fiero, "Always too early, always too serious." He complains and steps forward, "You showed them brother... that you did." Who in particular he means may not be obvious but it seems the best he can muster as he moves to stand by the side of the bed. *Firan*

Xamori sits on the edge of the bed, holding tightly to her husband's hand. Like, Fiero, she's still dirty and gross from being at the front for months, not to mention her red, puffy eyes. A smile breaks out on her tear stained face, "I am glad you came, Asishon." She looks to Fiero, "Would you like me to give you two a chance to talk privately?" *Firan*

Dying Fiero squeezes Xamori's hand and says, "Please don't leave me. We are all family." He turns his intense gaze on Asishon as he says that. "She is family. Do not forget, ever." He then takes a deep breath and says, "I regret being early this time, though not as early as Galanthis. Had you heard? He fell in the battle before the last. He never saw Ellish liberated..but I know that he knows. He was so brave and fierce, just as he always was. Mother will be proud." It seems Fiero can't stop being serious, not when there is no time left. He stares at the man that could very well be his twin, sapphire eyes, curly blonde hair, nearly the same height and weight. "Asishon. You are the last of us. Marsi...She was seen in Ellish, but you know where her heart lies. You are the last of us, truely. You must take care of mother and you must must marry. Our line can not die, we are the last of the Sennets. Promise me...promise that you will look after Mother, and that you will take care of the Sennet family. *Firan*

Asishon looks between the two and then offers softly to Xamori even as Fiero tells her to say, "Nothing I have to say is anything that Fiero would not tell you anyways. He always had a big mouth, especially around pretty women. And I have no doubts any secrets are better kept with you than me." The jokes and the banter don't stop. Perhaps he doesn't feel the press of his brother's death approaching, or perhaps it's the only thing keeping him together. He winces though as Fiero describes Galanthis' fall and sighs, "He always wanted to be before you." He complains and offers, "I'm sure he knows. He can rest easy knowing he bought a free Ellish. Like we always said." Asishon trails off as he replays his brother's words... "No... that. You saw her?" His fingers drop the coin, he doesn't grab Fiero instead the sheets, "You saw Marsi? She's alive then still? So long as she lives there's hope." If he even hears Fiero's concern of Marsi's nature, he blots it out. He's silent a moment before offering, "I will do all I can to restore the house brother, but there are still other hands... father and mother are still there. Their hands remain steadier than my own." He frowns clearly not at all comfortable that the reins of the family might at some point fall to him, and clearly trying to fight the frustration of Fiero leaving him with the charge. *Firan*

Xamori doesn't leave as requested by her dying husband, but she is silent. Even as the two speak, she looks at Asishon, the last of the four brothers, with tears in her eyes.

Dying Fiero closes his eyes painfully as Asishon goes on about Marsi, "I did not see her with my own eyes, but others did. Lord Adan, and Lady Srenni I believe. She told them to tell me she loved me and that she was proud of me...She's alive. She's there." He then goes on, "Mother will be...Mother is strong, but she will need help. She will need you. Her last son..I know that you do not want the responsibility. I was always glad to take it...but now is the time Asishon. There is no one else. Watch over Daemio and Marsius, but you must show them what a proud people we come from..what it means to be a Sennet. *Firan*

Asishon looks like he might press more on the subject of Marsi, he watches though as his brother's eyes shut. He just grasps the sheets of the bed more. "She's alive." He repeats and then takes a breath. "I'll... I'll do what I think best." He leans forward, "I can't... I won't be like you or Galanthis, but I promise you brother, I will watch over them all and confirm our blood amongst the highest of noble houses. I won't let yours and Galanthis' sacrifice go in vain. I'll protect our family." His eyes flicker from his brother to Xamori, "All of our family." He promises, as he looks to his brother for once sincerely. *Firan*

Dying Fiero smiles, clearly relaxing, "My children are strong, and the fire of the Sennet burns deep in their veins. They will need their uncle Asishon to keep them smiling and happy. You always comforted us, even in our darkest moments. I hope you can forgive me for pushing you, for being too hard on you. I only ever wanted the best for us...for all of us. I pray that mother knows that I gave my life to see our dreams realized, and that through my sacrifice, and Galanthis' the Sennet name has been vindicated. Galanthis and I are the past..." He touches Xamori's hand and then grabs Asishon's. "You are all the future. Make the best of what we fought for." *Firan*

Asishon is still as Fiero takes his hand and he clasps his brothers hand with both of his. He watches his brother smile and relax and that does finally move Asishon to begin tearing up, "You fool... You fool Fiero. Now you want to smile and relax." He complains bitterly squeezing his brother's hand, "Why do you always have to be the hero, the strong one? And leave me to clean the messes no one sees. I know brother... you always made the right choices. The choices only you could make. All I was good at was surviving. Mother knows, she'll be proud and heartbroken, she'll take it as graciously as she takes everything. I'll keep it going Fiero. I promise, the pride of the Sennet's won't fade, it won't falter." *Firan*

Dying Fiero just smiles at his brother, "I can smile and relax now that my mission is done. If I could stay and tend to the messes, believe that I would. Mother raised me to be the strong one..to be the hero. She depended on me to be that rock for her, and I was glad to do it. We all have our roles in life. I had just hoped that I would have had more time to enjoy the fruits of my labor..." He sighs and lifts Xamori's hand to his lips. "Don't believe that I was always grim and serious Asishon. This woman here made me laugh and smile..she made me feel like a boy. A boy so in love. She brought me such happiness, and pure joy. I'm sorry that you could not see that, as I kept it a private emotion. It was too special to share." A tear rolls down his cheek at the mention of their mother and he just shakes his head, "She is a gracious woman. A strong woman. Perhaps now she can rest and enjoy her life, now that Ellish is free. My heart aches that I must go, but I will try to do so graciously, as mother would want. Strong and proud." *Firan*

Xamori looks to Asishon, "You're not alone, Asishon. You can always call on me for any help. I might not be a Sennet in name, but there's some Sennet in here somewhere." Oh yeah, there is. An unborn one. *Firan*

Dying Fiero glances towards the window and smiles, "Uf is calling. Soon..soon I will be that wind." *Firan*

Asishon smiles quietly at that still at the breaking point and squeezes his brother's hand once more before releasing. He looks to Xamori thankfully and offers, "It's enough to know that it has happend. I'll call it a failure, but to lose to such a one... well I cannot think who I would rather lose to." He turns and watches Xamori quietly and nods, "I'm certain I'll need it. Thank you, and know that whatever the future may bring. If you need me. I'll come for you or the children. Sennet or not, you make my brother happy. I can only pray I find a tenth the love he finds." His hand falls slightly and he bites his lip hard in frustration as his eyes seek his brothers wounds again seeing already where those better than he have tried. *Firan*

Xamori closes her eyes as tears come pouring down her cheeks at Fiero's statement.

Dying Fiero squeezes Asishon's hand before he pulls it away. "You will brother. I know that you will. It will hit you when you are least expecting it.." Seeing Asishon eyeing him he pulls the furs down to show his ruined chest. "I was struck by lightning twice, by the Tower of Obala." He points towards the seared wound near his heart. "It struck me here, both times..so quick...and it exited through my lower back. It was a miracle that I did not die right on the field..but we can't have that. There is nothing to be done, believe me. If there was, it would have been done. Just know that I love you, brother. I always have. You are my little brother, and I'll watch over you always. Use my strength and courage, and you will not fail." *Firan*

Asishon sighs, "I always hated that tower. I used to dream of ramming a griffon against some point and shattering it." He murmurs softly and then there's an indrawn breath and a wincing at the seared ruins of Fiero's chest, "Two.. they must have known one would not be enough by far." He sighs quietly, "It's not strength and courage I fear for brother. It's good judgement. I will strive to do what you would have. I will strive to discharge all the duties as you would have." He offers another glance to Xamori nd doing his best to fight off his own tears just watching Fiero tensely wishing, unsurprisingly, for all the world that it was not a sight he had to face. *Firan*

Xamori is silent to let the brothers say their last words. Yes, she's crying.

Dying Fiero says, "Just follow your heart Asishon. That's all I ever did. I made mistakes a long the way...listen to your heart and you will do well. You know what is right and what is wrong. If you need guidance take your griffon into the sky and feel it whip around you. I will be there. As Lady Uf embraces you, so shall I. Always there, when you need me. That's what I do best..." *Firan*

Asishon nods quietly to Fiero, perhaps numbly. His arm rises trying to brush away his own tears, "I'll... I'll be listening for you Fiero. You best promise. You best be up there." He tries to glare at his brother but it's easier for him to jest, "If you don't I'm flying up and up and I'm going to have my mount kick your ass. Just you watch." *Firan*

Dying Fiero smiles and says, "I'll be there..." He hears the noise from outside and says, "You should go. You have another brother arriving home a hero. It would only be right that he be greeted by a Sennet." He takes one last look at Asishon and says, "I'll be there." *Firan*

Xamori manages to pulls herself together at the thought of the men returning home, including her brother. It's only a matter of time before she breaks down again.

Asishon watches Fiero for a moment long, "Yes... Yes I should go." He raises his arm to brush his eyes again. He purses his lip and sighs stepping forward and clasping Fiero's hand one last time, "I love you brother." He offers and then looks to Xamori, he looks like there's a hundred things he might say and he goes through each before finally offering quietly, "You'll message me if... if anything changes?" He asks knowing he doesn't need to ask. *Firan*

Dying Fiero clasps Asishon's hand with as much strength as he can muster, "I love you. Give my regards to Galanthis, and my love. I'm only sorry I couldn't see him myself." *Firan*

Xamori nods her head, forcing herself to keep her composure. "I will do that." A servant magically appears to show Asishon out of the manor. *Firan*

Asishon nods to Fiero, "Rest now... save your strength. As long as you can." He urges desperately before offering, "I'll tell Galanthis... everything." It's hard to think after all these years that his brother won't here, and then he's ducking quickly out after a faint bow to Xamori and a look of thanks. *Firan*

Xamori heads toward the Teranzik Estate -- Cubicula.
Xamori has left.
Asishon follows Xamori.
Asishon has left.
Xamori has arrived.
Xamori comes in from the cubicula.
Xamori enters followed by 3 Bear clan guards.

The moment Asishon leaves, Xamori buries her face on Fiero's chest. Well, the good side of his chest and begins to sob uncontrollably.

Dying Fiero wraps his arms around his wife, holding her close, "I'm sorry. I hate making you cry...I wish I could fix things this time. I wish I could...make it all better." *Firan*

"It's not you, it's just..." Xamori doesn't move her face as she speaks. "This whole thing. I should be grateful that I had so much more time with you. That I got a beautiful girl and three wonderful boys. Not to mention this last gift. Part of me is so proud of you and what you helped do in Ellish. The rest of me...is dying inside right along with you."

Dying Fiero strokes her hair and let's her cry and press herself against his chest, even if it hurts him. His last gift to her will be strength, "I'm here Xamori. Cry and be angry if you need to, I will listen. There is nothing I wouldn't do for you. Nothing in the entire world. We are together..and for as long as I breathe, we will be together...I will spend the rest of this life with you in my arms." *Firan*

Xamori shakes her head, "As much as I would love it to be just the two of us for the reminder of your time here, I cannot do that to you." She looks up at him, "Who do you want here when you pass on, Fiero?" *Firan*

Dying Fiero wipes away her tears and smiles down at her, "You are so beautiful...How did I ever get so lucky to win your heart? I certainly did not deserve you." He studies her face, committing it to memory, looking past the tears and the snot and the dirt. Only seeing the woman he loves more than anything. "I have always wanted only you. You are all I need." *Firan*

Nilara has arrived.
Nilara comes in from the cubicula.

Nilara enters followed by 2 Bear clan guards and 5 body guards.

Peaches, the large hound lays down at someone's feet, waiting for affection.

Dying Fiero is laying in the bed with Xamori craddled in his arms. They appear to be staring at eachother, both of their faces stained by tears. Fiero is ghostly white, his lips a pale shade of blue. His time is not long in this world, but he's holding on as long as he can. They are both filthy and grimy, but that doesn't seem to be their concern at this point.

From the door across the room comes a light creaking. The short Teranzik with long black hair stands with half her body under the doorway and half of it clinging to the frame. Her green eyes are as large and demanding as they've ever been before, watching the two parents in a frightened approach. A shaking can barely be detected from the distance... Though as she peers closer at Fiero a shudder course through bones violently. Lady Nilara turns her head away. Raising her tiny fists to her face, the scroll balled in one hand and pressed against her cheek. Raising her tiny fists to her face, the scroll balled in one hand and pressed against her cheek, she squeals in pain.

Xamori looks away from her husband as the door opens and she sees her oldest daughter. "Come in here, my beautiful daughter," she says as she pats the bed. "It's just his body that's broken, his spirit is so very strong and still the father you know and love." *Firan*

Dying Fiero turns his glazed eyes on Nilara, trying to focus on her. He offers her a weak, but sincere smile as he says, "Ah, there is my little girl. I was wondering if you were going to come and see your old father. The squeal makes his head throb and spin but he grabs the sheets, trying to find balance and block out the pain for their sake. "Come and see me.." *Firan*

Nilara doesn't tear from her attachment to the door frame that easily. The ear-piercing squeal of emotional distress that she'd yielded dies in a momentary bout of hyperventilating. Forcing composure when her spirit, in a shattering state, feels as though it can afford none... Nilara relinquishes her grasp from the wood and begins making her way over to her family. Tears streak down her anguished face, and the little shuffling sound her feet make against the floor are followed by a faint pit pat of large tear drops. Upon reaching Fiero's side of the bed, she glances up at him... Then begins to sob and lowers her face back to the ground... Unable to look at him again.

Dying Fiero sighs at the state he's put his daughter in. His heart breaking, he reaches out to her helplessly, "There there..don't cry. I don't have a great deal of time, and I want to talk to you before I have to go. Let me see my strong little girl." He gestures for her to join them, so that she can get a parental love sandwhich. "I missed you terribly, and thought of you every day." *Firan*

As she's guided into the parental sandwhich of sorts, Nilara continues to let herself cry openly. With timid and unsteady hands she reaches for a shoulder and gently makes a light grasp on her step-father. She has her eyes elevated to him now as he requests her strength. Though unfortunately, her face giving no disguise to her feelings. "Ithoughofyowareverdaywaaahayhayt-t-too..." She mumblewhimpersobs in reply.

Dying Fiero kisses the top of Nilara's head and places his cold hand on top of hers, trying his best to comfort her. "You would have been so proud of your mother. She was so brave. There was even an air raid, but I kept my promise and made sure she was safe. I brought her back to you Nilara, uninjured and perfect, as always. Though dirtier than I am sure she prefers to be, but she's home.." *Firan*

She thinks about how she'd denied acknowledging him leaving to begin with. She thinks about how she would not accept anything about him leaving for war until he came home. She thinks about how she'd spent so much time trying NOT to /think/ about it at all... In Nilara's mind somehow Fiero hadn't gone to war at all... Instead her step-father had taken her beautiful mother off to some exotic retreat where they were sipping tea during the day and dancing under the stars at night with a hidden bottle of vintage raspberry wine. It made sense in her mind, and it would have been so easy to continued the scapegoat of a fantasy if they'd returned merry in their filthy boot stained glory.

...But this was a nightmare. Never before had she awaken to a nightmare... And no matter how hard she tried to fight it, she couldn't leave this place. She couldn't start the day over again. Nilara had that striken distant feeling that at any moment she would wake up from this horrible event... But for some reason she couldn't drive away this nightmare.

So, instead, the little Nilara gently curls up to Fiero's side and as lightly as possible holds onto him. Wanting to shut her eyes in pain, but afraid to lose sight of him... She focuses her eyes on his face, and tries her best to smile up at him.

Xamori can't help but smile at being dirty, but seeing her daughter upset immediately makes the tears come. Again. She wipes them away, "He's a hero, my darling daughter. He helped keep many men alive and helped free all those people." Stroking her daughter's hair, to help bring some comfort, even if just the teeniest bit. *Firan*

Dying Fiero holds on to Nilara as tightly as he can. Just holding her. He won't make her speak, but perhaps she can be comforted to know that in his final moments he was there to hold her and comfort her, just like a Daddy should. He looks at Xamori and looks apologetic. His life falling to ruins around him, his actions destroying the lives of everyone he loved.

Daemio gets shown in presumably by a servant and glances around the room more then a little uneasily.

Nilara bows her head so that it rests beneath Fiero's chin delicately. She nudges her head against his face and let's her arms drape around him. She cries quietly and as discreetly as she is able. Nilara attempts to muffle her soft sobbing as she speaks with the warmth of a loving smile on her face, "Fiero our hero. I know everyone will say that from now on. I know I will. Our hero, Lord Fiero." *Firan*

Dying Fiero is laying in bed with Xamori held in his arms, Nilara is packed in between them, Fiero's other arm stroking her back in comfort. Nilara's words bring a smile to his pale face as the sweat beads up on his forehead, his body on fire, but the furs piled on top of him indicate that he's freezing. "Being a hero is nice, but I am more proud to hear you call me Father. That is what truely matters to me." *Firan*

Daemio steps further into the room slowly, his dark eyes rivited on Fiero, a little wide and not entirely focused. "Lord Uncle?" He asks a bit roughly as he approaches the bed. *Firan*

Xamori rises from the bed, moving towards the door to get messenger. And to greet Daemio. She gestures to the other side of Fiero as she looks down at him with red, puffy eyes from crying. "Go speak to your Uncle. There isn't much time." She takes the scrolls and hands them to Fiero, "I do believe these are from these, too." *Firan*

Nilara sniffles and rubs her wet face against the blankets in attempt to dry her eyes. Her smile aches her face as she looks back up at him, saying in ammend, "My father the hero." She says, then curls up into a ball at his side and places her head back beneath his chin where it had been. Nilara doesn't look up at Daemio, nor does she greet his arrival. *Firan*

Dying Fiero glances up at the sound of his nephew's voice. His face is ghostly white, his lips a pale shade of blue. Looking as if there is not any blood left in his body, yet he's still breathing, if not shallow breaths. The sweat trickles down the side of his face, down to his tunic which doesn't cover much of his chest, due to the horrific injuries of the lightning. He smiles weakly at Daemio and says, "I was hoping you'd come. Asishon was here not long ago..but he left to go and welcome Galanthis' body home. He fought bravely." As Nilara speaks again he kisses the top of her head, "My beloved daughter. Joy of my life." he then takes the scrolls and attempts to read them over, his eyes going in and out of focus as his body continues to fail him. *Firan*

Daemio swollows looking over Nilara letting her presence distract him, though only briefly before he focuses on his dying uncle again. "Of course I came... I..." He frowns not knowing really what to say. Slowly he sits down on the edge of the bed doing his best not to squish Nilara. *Firan*

Nilara is dettached from anything but her parents, especially Fiero, and notices very little else than them.

Xamori sits on the edge of the bed and just touches Fiero's leg. She positions herself in a place where he can see and feel her touch. She lets him speak to his daughter and nephew.

Dying Fiero reaches out and ruffles Daemio's black curly hair. He grins at Daemio and says, "You need a haircut boy.." Jests aside he says, "I'm glad you did. I was told that your mother served drinks to a few of the soldiers who were taken prisoner. I did not see her, but Lord Adan came to tell me that she asked him to tell me that she loved me and that she was proud of me for everything...and that she loves you and Marsius." He might have added the last bit, but Daemio will never know. He's on his deathbed, he can do such things. Seeing Xamori he flashes a charming smile at her, always trying to reassure her, even if he fails. *Firan*

Daemio looks downwards at his hands briefly and draws in a slow breath. He's grown up now. No crying allowed. Instead he swollows the lump in his throat once more and nods slowly. "You said so in your letter." He looks over Fiero once more unsteadily. "I'm proud you're my uncle." *Firan*

Crying is certainly allowed in this room. Like with everyone else Fiero says final words (It's not goodbye.) to, Xamori tears up. It's no different with Nilara and Daemio. When gives her his smile, she returns with her own charming and dimpled smile.

Dying Fiero squeezes Daemio's shoulder and says, "I'm so very proud of you. Look at you. All grown up and ready to face the world. I'm proud that I had a chance to see you grow. To guide you, even if a little. I need you to be strong for the Sennet family. Asishon is the last of my brothers...but he does not have the strength to lead us. Try as he might, it's not in his nature. Look after my family." He rests his hand on Nilara's back and squeezes her as he says, "All of them, no matter how troublesome they may be at times. They are mine, and they are family. Take care of them as I would take care of them. Knowing that they will be watched over will help my soul rest." *Firan*

Daemio nods slowly, somberly, "Of course uncle. They're my family too," He finally conceeds. He looks over Fiero a long silent moment before he blurts. "I don't want you to die." *Firan*

Dying Fiero nods at Daemio's outburst and a tear falls down his cheek, "That is what is so glorious about the Gods, Daemio. They do exsist. I've seen them working during the last campaign. My body will die, as will yours. All of our bodies will die, but our spirits will live on in the next generation. My spirit will never ever leave. Every time you speak my name, or tell a story about me...there I will be. Watching over you, guiding you, and most importantly, loving you. I do not want to die, but I was not asked. The Shamibelians and their dark tower to Obala have cut short my life, they have stolen my future from me. No one is surprised. That is what they do, but they can not steal my spirit. They can not steal the memory of me. That lives on in each of you. Never can someone take that from you. Never." *Firan*

Daemio reaches over and puts a hand on Fiero's shoulder. The god talk's cold comfort but the last of Fiero's words resonate with a truth he can understand. "Our Enemies have taken far too much from our family but I won't let them take you away from me. One day their cities, all of them will fall and we'll pay them back for this. I promise." *Firan*

Stepping in with a servant's help/escort, Dar first steps into the room and offers a bow towards all the nobley people present, which is everybody. "Lord Captain, I've..." He pauses, looking over Fiero and then everybody else. He remains silent, the young man just lowers his head, a few tears falling from his cheeks, even if he remains silent of sniffles and such.

Daemio is sitting on the edge of the bet talking quietly to Fiero looking extreamely somber. He looks up when Dar steps in and slides down a bit out of the way, sitting closer to Xamori but not leaving Fiero's side.

Xamori doesn't care if Daemio is a grown man, she wraps her arm around him and hugs him tightly. She gives Dar a small, but warm smile to tell him silently, she's glad he came to see Fiero before...it's too late.

Dying Fiero is laying in the bed, furs piled high. His skin is ghostly white and his lips are a pale shade of blue. Sweat beads on his forehead and runs down his cheeks to mingle with the tears that flow often enough. It is clear to anyone looking at him that he has hours at most. His body completely shut down and only his will and determination keeping him conscious. He raises a weak hand to pat Daemio's leg and says, "I have no doubt that you will honor the sacrifices made, and avenge all of those that were taken before their time. Follow your heart, and do what is good, Daemio. For that is what people will remember. The kind words, the generosity. Being a hero is fine, but being a good and compasionate person..that is what matters the most in this world." He looks up as Dar arrives and smiles at him, "Just call me Fiero..I think we are past titles and plesantries." *Firan*

Tamorus lightly knocks on the door and comes in quietly he walks over to the side of the bed and is for once actually quiet, he looks up to Xamori and gives her a small smile and says softly "I'm not interrupting am I?" he than looks down at Fiero in the bed and thats when the tears start coming down his face, but he doesnt say anything, yet. *Firan*

Daemio looks even more choked up as Fiero continues. Fortunitely then Xamori hugs him and he takes another steadying breath wrapping his arms around her as if she's the one who needs the hug and comfort. But then again she probably does as much as he does.

Dar shakes his head. "I could.. never. You will always be, no matter the issues, Lord Captain Fiero Teranzik. A great man in the eyes of this young man, the same one that you brought here out of the Shadina Nursery. The same man whom helped start me within the military. The same..." He stops, looking up finally at Fiero. "You will always be a friend, no matter of titles and such. A noble man, in both status and actions. Thank you for.. everything. No matter how bad or good things turned out, you were always there with a word of direction or wisdom to help me." He kneels beside the bed, though keeping a slight distance. "Thank you." he whispers out, now, coming to tears and full crying, his head republic tunic coming up to wipe at his face. *Firan*

The bed is piled up with Fiero, Nilara, Daemio and Xamori. Dar has come to be pay his respects. Xamori shakes her head at Tamorus, "Please come in, Tamorus. You..." she chokes up, "do not have much time."

Katriana waddles in, a hand on her belly. All these guards really don't come in. Only one -- to help her from falling over.

Daemio would usually get up and bow for the princess but he barely notices her there today. He watches Fiero somberly.

Dying Fiero smiles at Dar and says, "I know quality when I see it, and I still believe that. No matter the mistakes or twists in the road, you have a bright future ahead of you. Continue the things I have taught you, and serve honorably. You may not serve the Teranziks in name anymore, but I know you will watch over them. Thank you for being my friend, I'm sorry that I didn't get the time to do more." Seeing Tamorus enter he smiles over at his little brother in law, "I was hoping you'd turn up. Though I don't really care for people to see me in such a state, I'm a proud man you know, but some things are more important than pride. That is friends and family. Remember that. Your sister needs you now more than ever. She's lost her father, her first husband in one war. She's now lost her second husband and her brother in this war. It is time for you to grow up and get over childish differences. Love her and protect her, just as I would. Remember the words I spoke to you. Be the man you and I both know you can be." *Firan*

Xamori looks to Fiero, "Tamorus is a little late, because I sent him to the docks to welcome our brother's body home." She gives him a thankful smile for being there. When Katriana comes in, she smiles at her friend but Xamori's pain is apparent in her blue eyes. *Firan*

Katriana waddles closer to Fiero, making way by her HUGE BULK.

Was that a dragon pushing by? Nope, Katriana and Dar wipes a few tears, standing and offering a bow towards Katriana. His watery eyes look over Fiero once more before he moves back towards the side, remaining wordless but not of course, silent.

Katriana's eyes fill with tears.

Katriana is a Princess, and Acting Queen. But, after murmuring to Fiero and resting a hand on his short curls she kisses his cheek and lets her tears fall, "I've lost my father, brother, and now losing you -- you /will/ come back to us! That is an order from your friend and Acting Queen!" At Fiero's whisper back, she nearly crumples, but her guard keeps her up. *Firan*

Tamorus is there by the side of the bed, looking down at Fiero crying softly, he also doesnt notice Katriana enter and listens to Fieros words to him. He alos leans over on the bed and starts crying fully trying to get out as much as he can "Yes Lord Fiero, I...I will take care of her for you, and I..I promise th.th.ththat I will be a better man than I have been in the past." he finally starst to setle down and final;lt make a confession "Yu have been like a father to me, I never really knew my real father, and you answered any question I ever had, and you taught me alot about how to be a /real/ Bear Lord. I just hope that I can be half the man that you were. I'm really going to miss you." *Firan*

With everybody's words being expressed, Dar, sitting in the back of the room calls out quietly, "Damn it!" He shakes his head, his eyes looking over Fiero as he passes on. "Everybody I know passes on. My adopted parents, Lady Pamella, and now.. now.. DAMN IT!" He nearly screams out. "Why.. why does this have to happen." He shakes his head, moving towards the exit of the room, and after one of the servants near the exit doors.

Dying Fiero looks choked up at Tamorus admitting he's like a father. Another child Fiero has to leave behind before they are ready. He wipes a tear and squeezes Tamorus' shoulder, "I am proud that you feel that way. You will be a great man, I know that you will. As for missing me and good byes..I am not a man that believes in good byes. I prefer, Until next we meet. For I will come back, if only in spirit if Unot finds me worthy. I live on in my children and in my wife. My nephews and in you. I will live through all of those that I loved. So live well, I have high expectations." He winks. As Dar gets upset he says, "Be well friend. Have a drink. I will see you again. I promise." *Firan*

Xamori seems to know the end is near for her husband, as she begins to cry. Sob, really. Taking Fiero's hand in hers, she begins it to her lips to kiss it. Everyone else fades away, even just for a moment as she looks at him, "Gods, I love you so much, Fiero." *Firan*

Tamorus begins to cry fully again and nods to Fiero saying "Until...Until next we meet." *Firan*

Daemio has to close his eyes a moment. Really being stoic is harder then it usually looks. The young lord can't seem to find words or... well anything really.

Katriana clenches her jaw as if she might not cry -- yep she's really trying NOT TO CRY! NO NO NO! But, she fails.

Katriana's tears fill her eyes and regardless of your other feelings, you feel sympathy if only for a time.

Dying Fiero waits for Xamori to kiss his hand and when she does he brings her hand to his lips. Kissing it softly, "Lady of my heart. I love you more than I could ever express. You made my life so happy and to have your love...I am the luckiest man to have ever lived. You are such a beautiful person. I am blessed to have stood in your presence for a mere moment. Thank you for everything you have given me. Your love, your life, you passion, our beautiful children. The child you carry within you. The last gift I could give you. The last comfort I can give you...I only wish I could have done more." *Firan*

Daemio will be strong damn it. Katriana's tears really shake him though down to the core. And if he were the praying sort he'd probably pray just then but he's not. Instead a choked sound escapes him before he can really catch himself.

Katriana continues to listen, though she doesn't intrude again. Instead, she waddles back towards the couch, holding her belly.

Dying Fiero pets Scorn, the large hound, who eagerly accepts the affection from him.

Xamori is still crying openly as she listens to his words of love. "Five minutes or five years. I was so very blessed to just have met you. To have you in my life. To marry you and to have your children is beyond anything I could ever wished for for my life. You will live on long afterwards, not only with this child, but your others. We will all make sure your children know everything about your life from your life as a slave, to freedom, to freeing Ellish, to even the silly little things we remember about you that we'll laugh about when we've gotten past the mourning some." She looks at him, "You've touched so many lives and I get to proudly say, you've touch mine the most because you have my heart." *Firan*

Dying Fiero kisses Xamori's hand again, laying it on his chest, not even caring if it hurts him. "Silly stuff? I was never silly. I'm not sure what you are going on about woman. I was completely stoic and respectable at all times!" *Firan*

"Fiero, you've touched many lives and will continue to forever. Xamori will be etching your name into a monument for all to see." Katriana murmurs, from her place near the back. She keeps grabbing her stomach now and then.

Tamorus nods as he continues to cry "Yes, you will be remembered, and I will do my best to protect you children, tell them about how you lived your life, and teach them the way to be proper Bear Lord's and Ladies." *Firan*

Xamori can't help but laugh at him, through her tears. "No, you never ever did anything silly. Like scaling to the side of judges' booth to meet a girl." She nods her head to Katriana, "With so much pride and pleasure and love I will doing that." Looking at him, she rubs his head as if pretending they were his blonde curls. "Your life was filled with so much, even if it was cut so very short." *Firan*

"I still say he needs to be wearing that intoxicating cologne." Katriana says, a little wink to Xamori, "And never did I get to touch those long curls! Perhaps, this child will have them."

Dying Fiero smiles at everyone around him as he says, "Thank you all for your kind words. I can't tell you how much they mean in my final hours." He then smiles warmly at Xamori, "Any stoic man would scale the side of a judge's booth to meet the most beautiful woman in the city. It wasn't a silly move, it was the smartest thing I'd ever done. It brought me you. You are no ordinary woman Xamori Teranzik, I knew I had to do something that was extraordinary to get you to pay attention to some poor ex slave like me." *Firan*

Tamorus finally starts to get controll of his crying and laughs softly at the story of how Fiero met Xamori and says "I hope some day that I find a Lady as smart and beautiful as you did, and I hope I can be as good a husband to her as you were to my sister." *Firan*

"Are you implying that I am a snob, Lord Fiero?" Xamori has got to change the mood a little since he's got a bit more time. "While scaling that booth is something extraordinary that all our children will know about, I think you could have simply walked up to me and asked to escort me home and I would have followed you."

Dying Fiero says, "There will never be another woman like your sister I fear, but I pray that you find someone to love. It's not easy for nobility, but your sister and I stand testiment that it can and does happen." he grins at Xamori, "A snob? Lady Xamori Teranzik. Fashionista, granddaughter of the Viceroy, lover of silk and platinum. I didn't even have two stenis to rub together. I was, and remain, a suspecte spy and traitor. I was living in an apartment for Gods' sake. I didn't think you'd even look at me, little did I know that you had such a weakness for blonde hair." *Firan*

Tamorus smiles and nods at Fiero's comment for him and says "Yes, I fear that you are right, But I think I shall leave now, I shall see you again Lord Fiero." at that he moves away from the bed bows to Katriana and heads out of the room. *Firan*

"That is all true. I guess when you were learning about me, your intelligence failed you in letting you know that while I wasn't an ex-slave or a suspected traitor, I did live atop a bakery once." Xamori looks at him, "You took the time to find out that there was more to me than just silk and platinum." She opens her mouth to say something to Tamorus, but the nobility and marriage lecture can wait. This is about Fiero. "If I was truly a snob, you wouldn't have fallen in love with me."

Katriana watches the interplay between Xamori and Fiero, tears in her eyes and a look of something else -- perhaps an emotion she had years ago. "True love is hard to find. I am happy that you two found each other and Lady Xamori will always be my best friend. WE shall look out for each other!" *Firan*

Daemio would like a drink but there will be time for that later. He watches Fiero and Xamori banter and sighs softly. It's the last time that they'll ever do that.

Dying Fiero nods to Tamorus and says, "I will see you again, Tamorus. Rest assured. Be well." He smiles as he leans forward to kiss Xamori, "There is more to you than anyone knows. You are the most genuine person I've ever known, and I love you for that." He then smiles at Katriana, "True love is rare, but it is amazing when you can find it." *Firan*

Katriana nods to Xamori and Fiero, "I feel bad for intruding on you family time." she says, gathering herself. "I should let the two of you be together." *Firan*

Xamori shakes her head as she gestures to Katriana. "No, please stay. I will need you." She pauses, "You could tell Fiero about homecoming at the piers. Lord Donos returning. As well, as the others. Lord Galanthis. Lord Sinan." *Firan*

Dying Fiero lays back in the bed, holding his hand for Xamori to go and lay with him. He looks tired, he's had a day full of visitors and his strength is waning. He smiles at Katriana and says, "I am sure it was beautiful.." *Firan*

Katriana nods to Fiero and Xamori, taking a seat on the couch so she doesn't fall, "It was lovely and very sad." she admits, "Tons of ... soldiers alive and dead coming home. There were banners, honor guards, and songs. Though, it was not a festive time." *Firan*

Xamori takes his hand and lays down with him. Their last time together like this. "Part of me wishes you could have been greeted to that, Fiero. The majority of me is so very glad we were allowed to come earlier, so that you could see the people you love." *Firan*

Dying Fiero pulls Xamori so that her head rests on his chest, resting his chin on top of her head as he rubs her back. From time to time he kisses the top of her head, just holding her close to him. His eyes begin to look heavy, but he's not giving up yet. He smiles at Katriana's description and then to Xamori he says, "I have loved my time with those I care about, parties and parades were never my style.." *Firan*

Xamori can't help but laugh at that. "You didn't mind so much when you were dancing in nothing but a loincloth at that festival's masked ball." She smiles and nods, sharing a bit of Fiero with Katriana and Daemio. She looks to Daemio especially, "Don't you dare tell Lady Geesha about that. Lady Eesha's Festival brings out interesting things in people." *Firan*

Daemio reaches up to rub at his temple. "Do not worry Lady Aunt I won't tell my Grandmother anything that would not be... proper..." *Firan*

Dying Fiero chuckles at Xamori and says, "Well we were still fresh in our courting, I was trying to impress you. I do believe your grandmother pinched my backside at that dance. Right after I danced an amazing version of the Loins on Fire. That was always an interesting memory, the grandmother of your love pinching your bare backside. Though she was masked, and i'm sure she will deny it. Her voice is quite clear." He grins. *Firan*

Katriana continues to listen, a smile at the memories.

Xamori turns to look at Daemio, "Please, do not let me monopolize the conversation with your Uncle. Talk to him." She turns to Katriana, as if to say the same thing. For once Xamori is calm and collected. There are no tears. There will be tears later. "Please tell him your memories of him." *Firan*

"My memories of Lord Fiero?" Katriana asks, a slight smile on her lips. "Ahh! I do remember him dancing with me at my first masked ball as a Princess, though he was -not- grabbing anything of mine." she notes, for the record. "And, I remember poker and how he'd tease me with his glorious curls and that ravishing cologne." she murmurs.

Daemio shakes hies head a little. "I don't... I don't know ---- to say Lady Aunt... I wanted Ellish to be Free. I wanted my mother to be free and now here it is. Look at the cost. I've lost the only two people who gave enough of a feck about me to fight for me when I was small." *Firan*
Asishon comes in from the cubicula.

Asishon has arrived.

Asishon is followed by Giana.

Giana has arrived.

Dying Fiero closes his eyes for a moment, just holding Xamori close to him. His hands are trembling and he looks tired, so tired, but he doesn't complain. Opening his eyes he puts on a smile for his guests and says, "They don't have to speak if they do not want to..." He smiles at Katriana and says, "Many men are afraid of you. Or rahter your husband. It's a shame, you are a wonderful woman, but we all have our duties. I treasured our friendship, brief as it was." He turns his eyes on Daemio and says, "Don't be sad. Anything worth doing has a heavy cost. I knew that before I went to the front. We all knew it...we are not lost. Just on to the next adventure." He runs his hand down Xamori's back as he grimaces, readjusting himself in the bed before he says, "And don't say that word, Daemio. It is beneath you." *Firan*

Asishon follows yet another one of those poor mystical servants that have been so abused this day. He leads Giana in quietly. It's clear that Asishon has at least recovered some of his semblance of stability, though it seems at the cost of a teary eyed and slightly marred looking Giana. He guides her in and just stays near the door, his eyes searching for his brothers but at those gathered Asishon just remains back letting Giana approach.

Daemio's already started stoking the angery little fire inside. It's far easier to be mad then hurt. It hrlps him sit up a bit steadier. Under other circomstances he'd probably say it again out of spite.

Dying Fiero catches Asishon and Giana's entrance, his blue eyes locking on Asishon's before looking at Giana. "Ah Lady Giana..I had hoped you'd come to visit..not a moment to soon I fear. I am sorry for your loss. Galanthis died well. From his first breath to his last he fought against the evil menace. You should be proud." *Firan*

Giana numbly follows Asishon into the room. Her eyepaint is smeared and her eyes are glossed with tears. She turns those eyes to Fiero and those tears begin to well again. She nods grimly, but does not speak.

Xamori sees Giana and her heart goes out to her. She'd get up and hug her sister-n-law, but she's next to Fiero and she's not moving for anything. There is another side of Fiero, though anyone may use to sit next to him.

Katriana smiles at Fiero, "Aye, you remember well. Indeed, they were scared of me yet you were not, Lord Fiero Sennet Teranzik!" *Firan*

Katriana sings, Remember, with grace. Katriana's voice is almost ethereal as she sings of Lord Fiero's sacrifice for freedom. He will always be remembered.

Katriana sings, Remember, beautifully. Katriana's voice is ethereal as she sings of Lord Fiero's sacrifice for freedom.

Dying Fiero offers Giana a supportive smile. Supportive Fiero to the very end, worrying about everyone else. As Katriana sings he whispers to Xamori, closing his eyes as he breathing becomes obviously more labored. When his eyes open they are bleary and unfocused. He stares out the window, as if he sees something, but there is nothing aside from silk curtains blowing in the wind. "I hope you all know how much you mean to me. Truely. I could never have asked for better friends and family." *Firan*

Dying Fiero whispers "I love you so much. Don't let go of me, please. Never let go of me." *Firan*

You whisper "I love you more than my words can express. I will never let you go, I swear it to the Gods." to Dying Fiero. *Firan*

Dying Fiero whispers "I wish I could stay with you, but it's so hard...I'm so tired." *Firan*

You whisper "I know you'd stay with me forever, but we will be together again one day. Our love is pure and eternal. It never ever dies." to Dying Fiero. *Firan*

Dying Fiero says, "Xamori...tell the story of how we met and fell in love please.." *Firan*

Asishon just watches his brother do what he does best. Asishon's eyes flicker towards the window as if glaring wishing the very wind away before back to Fiero. He manages to just lean against a wall doing his best to school his features striving his best to muster one of the normally everpresent smiles onto his face.

Katriana gives a nod to Giana and Asishon, though the Acting Queen has no words at the moment.

Giana sees Fiero's gaze shift and she draws a breath, and with it will enough to step away from Asishon and nearer to Fiero and Xamori. Fiero's request sets her tears to falling.

Katriana finally stands once more, hands atop her bloated belly, "Fiero, we will meet again -- remember, tis an order." she says, hiding her eyes now that others are in the room. She leans down and kisses his cheek, "Rest well, brother." she murmurs, before getting her guards together. *Firan*

Xamori has been exchanging whispers with her husband that brought tears to her eyes. She collects herself, "We met at Spring Festival 37 A.U. I had just finished hosting an event with Lady Rianna and no doubt we were arguing in the judges' booth when a man scaled the side of booth just to talk to me. That is how we met. He says it was love at first sight for him. However, I was skeptical being a noble and already married for duty once before. I fell in love with Fiero when he bought myself and my daughter matching rings of platinum and he admitted that he spent every steni he had on them. That's when I fell in love with Fiero. It wasn’t the act of a man spending money on me, but rather the act of man who do whatever it takes to please the woman he loves." She lifts her hand to show the ring that is still on her finger. "This and my Eeshan ring were the only pieces of jewelry I took to the front. The only time it came off my finger was when he took it into battle with him." *Firan*

Dying Fiero closes his eyes again as Xamori tells 'Their Story'. A peaceful smile crosses his lips as his hand runs up and down her back, caressing the woman he loves with trembling hands. He reaches around her to interlock their fingers, his thumb brushing against the platinum ring he purchased for her. Before the story has ended, his muscles go slack and his breathing slows and suddenly stops. There is no gasp, there is no twitch. He dies as a Bear Lord, quietly and unobtrusively. A loving smile on his face, etched there forever as he lays with the woman of his dreams.

Katriana gasps as she watches Fiero, tears falling down the Princess' cheeks now. "I... I have to go to the temple, my father is.... passed..." *Firan*

Katriana's eyes fill with tears.

Daemio stares at Fiero seeming to expect something more from him but then he's just still and gone. Daemio stares for a long time silently.

Asishon smiles softly as he listens to the story. He jokes mildly, "A matching pair of rings, and cheap for what it bought him, a life full of happiness." He offers softly and then his eyes watch Fiero. He's seen death enough times before, he learned healing on slaves beaten to death, but seeing it creep upon his own brother he just sighs for a moment and whispers, "Godspeed brother... you promised. Don't forget." He murmurs and fights his own tears making sure to step to the side as the Princess prepares to pass though he does hold a hand out a bit to make sure she doesn't stumble into a wall or the like. *Firan*

When Xamori realizes what has happened, that Fiero has passed, she's unable to breath being completely choked up with emotion and the tears start coming. Forcing herself to breath, she cries out his name, "Fiero...no. No!" Even though she knew the moment was coming, it doesn't make it any less hard to watch him pass. Her face falls onto his stomach as she begins to sob uncontrollably.
