FILLIPA ISHARTANO

Mes Fillipa Ishartano was born in 10 A.U. in Anarinuell. Her father, a sailor, was killed in a sea accident when she was just nine years old. Her mother had to bring up Fillipa and her two brothers up alone. Because of this, the family never had enough money, often only just managing to scrape money for food: they were even forced to spend a spell in the old city. It is said that this poverty fueled Fillipa's creativity and business skills as it led to a determination never to go hungry again.

Fillipa's big break came when she was fourteen and she ran into Lord Aldrikos Ista Aldrik who got her an apprenticeship as a jeweller to Mes Riosa. Fillipa, later, set up her own business in competition with Mes Riosa, producing several excellent designs and even extending her business to become adept at mining too.

She married Mer Bahlos at nineteen, an unusual marriage given Bahlos' past reputation for violence however their own marriage seemed relatively peaceful by all accounts, producing two little girls: Shayla and Ashanti. It was the latter child that was the death of her, she died in childbirth on the 16th of January, 27 A.U.
