FiranCon

FiranCon is an annual real life get-together for Firan players and staff. We descend upon a hotel near Baltimore, Maryland, for one weekend a year, usually over the Memorial Day holiday. We spend most of the time hanging out and getting to know everyone, partying, and geeking about the game, but there are some planned activities, too. We enjoy Greek dinner at the Acropolis in downtown Baltimore. We run a huge LARP for a few hours. We hold some panels and classes. It's a great time for everyone!

The Basics

Friday, May 23, 2008 – Monday, May 26, 2008

Mostly, we hang out at the hotel but we also enjoy dinner at the aforementioned Acropolis in Baltimore and have fun with a few planned activities (like the LARP!). People are, of course, free to come and go as they please.

There is a con fee associated with the fun. It includes food, con suites, and various materials. This year (2008), the fee is $79 if you pay before April 1, $84 if you pay before May 1, and $89 after that. If you pay your fee 'at the door,' it is $94. The earlier, the better (for you and for us)!

When you check in with us when you arrive, we will give you an official FiranCon 2008 Program Guide. Be sure to check that out for last-minute changes to the schedule.

The FiranCon rules go without saying and are basically "use your head": no weapons, real or fake, no illegal substances, no smoking in non-designated areas, be respectful of others, toss your trash, and so on. Adam and Stephanie Dray are not responsible for lost or stolen goods, though they'll certainly sympathize!
