Firan Nation Rules
From FiranMUX
Welcome to Firan Nation! Here the kids are in charge. If you are reading this page, you are likely a contestant or just plain interested in what the rules are. The concept of Firan Nation is that kids run a town sort of along the lines of how Anarinuell is run (loosely).

The City Layout

- Kitchen/Dining Room: A group kitchen and dining room where cooking and eating is done.
- General Store: A store occasionally open to the children to buy and purchase things.
- Meeting Room: A big room for meeting either large group or leaders. It can also be used to pray when not in use.
- Dorms: Dorms are restricted areas where each team may go and spend time together or rest.
Rules
General Rules
1. Kids are welcome to leave Kid Nation at anytime but once they leave there is no coming back.
2. The adult leaders of Kid Nation are allowed to stop an activity at any time it appears it might cause significant danger.
3. Kids will be permitted to one message home twice a week. Rules will be posted on how this occurs.
4. The GM reserves the right to make actions for you in your absence if you cannot attend something. As this is a relatively fake town, nobody will die or get hurt in their absence.
5. The GM, however, gives no guarantees to safety if you say...jump off the top of the General Store.
6. Logging of scenes is not required, however, scenes submitted to the admins google group ATTN: Leia will be considered for additional benefits due to the awesomeness of RPing.
7. GM may alter the rules at any time and throw any kinks in that seem fitting at any time!
8. All @requests for Firan Nation should use the standard @request Firan Nation=<what I need>. There are no penalties for not doing this but there is a bonus 2 CP for always doing this.
9. During GM'd events, use the Adventure channel for chatter/questions to make it easier to follow large group events.
10. Teams should stay out of other team's dorm rooms except by agreement of a team leader of the proper color.
Class Rules
1. Royalty: Royalty consist of the three team leaders. At any time, the teams will have a royal leader that represents them. They make the decisions in the town and don't have to do any work but can ask others of their group to do work for them. If they want to ask someone in another group to do work that doesn't fall under their given job for that time, they must get permission of the other royalty. Royalty may choose to have a meeting. A 2/3rds majority vote is required to approve any decisions to change the town rules/regulations. Disputes among royalty that cannot be resolved will result in a possible war. This means that nobody in the other teams has to do their jobs for the opposing faction and could seriously break down town relations. War can be a handy tool but should be carefully used. Teams disappointed with their royalty may choose to riot and try to either get them to meet their needs or oust them before their term is up. A successful riot means that 2/3rds of the team has agreed to riot. Royalty is expected to keep the town running and to perform functions such as holding events, meeting with people and holding open throne hours. Royalty makes 10 stenis per IC day. Royalty are granted two 'It's Good to be the Ranivor' tickets per term that let them have a proper bath, a proper meal or a piece of finery (clothes, pottery, jewelry).
2. Nobles: Nobles don't do work but they are permitted to have businesses or to support the work of others. They are expected to keep the other groups happy by giving them favors or having events for them. They may be asked to do work for Royalty but can ignore orders from any of the commoner or outcast classes. However, they suffer as well if the people decide to riot (and can actually riot if they want too). Nobles make 5 stenis per IC day. They get two tickets to spend during their term as nobles: 'Land Owner' which lets them get a proper meal or extra stenis and 'Social Slam' which can detract 10 'social points' from another person. (See the social point section for more details)
3. Commoners: Commoners do all the labor work such as cooking, cleaning, laundry and taking care of animals. They are expected to follow the nobles in the town and their royal leader as far as completing chores but if another leader wants to make a player do something unusual they need permission from the royalty of that team to do so. Commoners make 2 stenis an IC day. They get two tickets during their term as commoners: 'Ooooh Diss' Detract 5 social points from someone and 'Sponsor Me' which requires a noble to give them 5 stenis startup cash.
4. Outcasts: Outcasts don't have jobs really and are not highly regarded. They do, however, have the ability to make money by standing on the street so there are some benefits to not being invited to every party. Outcasts make 1 IC stenis a day . They get the following tickets: 'Pickpocket' which allows them to gain 5 stenis from someone and 'Shove It' which allows them to ignore an order.
Cooking
Cooks may submit a request letting the GM know what they want to cook out of the following and the GM will make rolls and determine how they did:
- Spinach and Meat
- Meat Stew
- Blackberry Crisp
- Greens and Mushrooms
- Apricot Tarts
Public Hunting
An exit has been placed off the main street to allow for hunting (by using resources already allowed). Please note using outside help while in Public Hunting from adults is not allowed. The exit back in is hidden and is 'KN' for Kid Nation.
Leadership Elections
Leaders will be re-elected on a semi-regular basis approximately once per week. Players may opt to keep the currently royalty or remove them.
Social Points
Players will receive social points from various actions and these will be tracked on a board in the main town. Social points can change for a variety of reasons but are a sign of how you're doing in town!
Tickets
Players are given tickets during their terms in the various groups. These tickets are only good for that term and will be removed at the end of the term. For Ranivors, this is between elections and for everyone else will be based on various activities to be announced. To use your ticket, write the name of the person you want to use it on or the name of your wish for tickets that receive an item and place it in the box found in the center of town.
It is illegal to take tickets out of the box or alter them anyway. Players found doing so will be ejected from the game immediately. Assume there is a guard there.
Tickets will be handled daily. Every player also gets two 'A Winner is You' tickets that lets them praise someone for 10 social points during a term.

Player Driven Rules (Republic)
- Anyone who disrupts a meeting of the clan council (the team leaders) can be ejected from the Meeting Hall for 10 minutes.
- If someone is caught deliberately avoiding work, regardless of social class, they will be given a smaller portion of food at the next meal. They did not do work, they did not tire as much and so require less food. 'Avoidance of work' counts not only as avoiding assigned tasks as a commoner, but dodging noble responsibilities, or an outcast refusing to perform a task they've been asked to do. (An outcast using a 'shove it' ticket to avoid work cannot be punished for that, but the ticket may only be used once.)
- Crime is a fact of life, but should not go unpunished. The clan leaders are the court of law, and will assign punishments accordingly. If a crime involves citizens of only one clan, their clan leader will sit in judgment. If a crime involves citizens of two clans, the clan leader of the third clan will sit in judgment, to ensure an impartial decision. If a crime involves citizens of all three clans, all clan leaders will sit in judgment and a decision requires the agreement of two. Punishments will usually be extra chores (the nastiest, most boring chores), but may also include fines at the discretion of the judging clan leader(s). (Outcasts using a pickpocket scroll may only be accused of a crime if there is a witness present when the pickpocketing scroll . If you are going to break the law, do it wisely, and without witnesses!)

Their animals will be completely ignored by us. Anything of theirs is theirs to maintain. We will, however, continue to assist the Green Team for the present.
Player Driven Rules (Green Team)
- Any member of the Clan of the Leparos (Green Team) who chooses to help with tasks for the town when not required to will receive an additional 5 stenis for the day from their clan leader.
Player Driven Rules (Red Team)
- There will be a daily bonus for the Shark Clan (Red Team). Only one member shall receive a bonus on any given day, and that will be a 25 stenis bonus.
