The city seems to have settled into a lull in this time between the Festival and the Olympics, although public perceptions are still high and alert as the city begins to gear up for the coming war season.

In the aftermath of the festival, Priest Cassio was put to death by Lady Proxy Leyla for his treasonous statements against the Gold Dragon Clan. While sentiment is mixed over this, it was done quietly and with dignity, and the priest's body was quickly delivered to the True Temple so that his last rites could be performed.

The Griffon expedition to Firalut has also gotten underway, bringing with it growing tension between the Griffons and Gold Dragons yet again. While the expedition went out with all fanfare and glory, it's been reported that while on their way through the Gold Dragon countryside they have attacked and slaughtered some innocent farmers, reginiting the animosity between the clans. In their anger, unknown people went and destroyed Clan Leader Judanarius' office in the embassy building, and relations remain tense. All the clan leaders and their proxies are on guard, to gauge how this turns out.

Of course with the war season on everyone's mind as well, the temples and charities have begun their push to get ready for war. Already an increase in the amount of military activity has been noticed, with training becoming more regular and calls being put out for able-bodied citizens to volunteer. In addition, the promotion of Lord Zafir to General over the 4th division is sure to show that the military is trying to get its ranks in tip-top shape.

The Olympic preparations are going as well, and excitement is high as the time grows closer. Already some teams have bene formed and they can be seen training around the various districts as good-natured rivalries between the clans grow more intense!
