Firgalik Family

The Firgalik Family (Royal House: Gold Dragon)
Formerly led by Judano and then Jalil; currently lead by Ojitar Firgalik. Colors: cyan/red
This family name was adopted by the children of Firgalas, the former chieftain of the Gold Dragon Clan and father of Elianos, Judano, Zeena, and Trannos (now deceased). The family line can be traced all the way back to Unot and they are proud of their lineage. Like any Gold Dragon member, they can recite their family tree upon request.
Judano was the leader of the Gold Dragon Clan, but he died childless and with no known heirs until it was revealed that he had fathered a son by Lady Tazi of the Griffon clan -- Lord Jalil. Jalil claimed both throne and family name, a move which did not sit well with many and which lead to a brief but bloody civil war, but Judano's son triumphed in the end.
The current members of this family include Jalil, his ex-wife Emeelya, his executed wife Kameelya, Judano's niece Leyla, her ex-husband Aldrikos and her deceased siblings Ozer, Quentino, and Arcadia. Emeelya's brother Argus, former Clan Proxy, and his wife Olena died in 24 A.U, while her other brother Halakeye left the family through marriage in January 25 A.U., to join the Ista Aldrik family and has since parished at the front. Kameelya was executed for attempting to poison her husband, Jalil, in 39 A.U.
Of the younger generation of Firgaliks, there is Clan Leader Ojitar, his wife, former Princess of the Elianik Family, now Lady, Tia, and their sons Agrippa and Jaden and daughter Lucile. Jalil's second son by Clan Leader Taria - Judanus married Lady Luna Corinala and joined the Griffon Clan. Emil, Jalil's oldest son from his second wife Emeelya remains with the family. Kameelya's children from her prior marriage: Rogik, Corrina, Asteria, and Portia were all adopted into the Firgalik family with the provision that they marry out should they marry. Corrina has since wed Lord Mateo Oshta and joined the Ticanee Clan. Of Leyla's children Lady Laytania married Prince Zaridos Elianik in 36 AU and joined both Eagle Clan and Elianik Family. Her younger brother Tyrsun remains a Firgalik. Elianos is also technically a member of this family, though his children go by the last name of Elianik.
Lord Ozer was killed in late August of 18 A.U. on the battlefield, fighting against the Shamibelians. Lord Quentino died in early November of 19 A.U. and was believed to have been plotting against the clan leader. Lady Lucretia was briefly married to Prince Sadin and together they produced a daughter, Princess Tia. They divorced and she was sent back to Cirusuran in shame following a scandal. Lady Arcadia died in a fire in the Firgalik Mansion in the year 22 A.U. Lord Argus, a former Proxy of Clan Leader Jalil, was executed for treason against the Republic in 24 A.U., and his death caused the Third Gold Dragon Civil War. His wife Olena was executed in May, during the peace of the Spring Festival, of the same year, by Clan Leader Jalil, for sharing the crime of her husband. The pair had two children, Ladies Puria and Olecia. Lady Olecia perished in the Shamibelian Air Raid of 33 A.U.
Lady Lucretia was reestablished as Prince Sadin's wife in 24 A.U., with claims that the divorce had never been legal. Her marriage to Lord Nydiam of the Eagle Clan was annulled. Her son Lucas was acknowledged as Prince Sadin's son, and she joined the Elianik family.
In 29 Lord Aldrikos was rather abruptly sent out on a military tour of the Gold Dragon lands and his wife, Lady Leyla sent to accompany him leaving her children behind in the care of Jalil sparking several rumors regarding the couples failure to produce children. Later both returned in 33 AU when Lord Aldrikos took Regency of the Hydra throne but owing to her failing health Leyla again departed the city.
Later in 33 AU at the wedding of Judanus and Luna perhaps the largest Firgalik controversy since Jalil took the throne was when Clan Leader Jalil gifted his son and the Griffon Clan with the entire city of Scirlut. This began the end of a long difficult transition for Scirlut and the entire Republic.
During the affair with Scirlut, around Ojitar's marriage to Tia, Lady Leyla emerged again in Scirlut and publicly announced she'd had a affair with Clan Leader Jalil that had produced a child which he'd subsequently killed. Adding to the scandal, Lady Leyla married Prince Sadin who also found himself in Scirlut and demanded Leyla's children be sent to them. This demand was refused and Lady Leyla and Prince Sadin's whereabouts since the stabilization of Scirlut are unknown.
