Overview

Mes Fortuna Senista is known for her competence and organizational abilities. She has a tendency to squint when dissatisfied, and though she has a fine sense of style she never dresses in anything flashy -- she has a conservative style instead. She's known for self-restraint and tact, acting in a friendly and open manner. She doesn't like to openly express her opinions, but she's a wonderful listener. She always listens carefully, pays close attention, and asks many questions with tact and diplomacy. This often earns her people's trust quickly. She does, however, like to have the last word in a discussion, always concluding a dialogue herself. If forced into confrontation, however, there are those who say that Mes Fortuna is a ruthless enemy. She quickly focuses upon her opponent's weakness and destroys them with one perfectly placed phrase. She's slow to anger, however, but when she is angry, she's very hard to calm down and can go on for days. She likes games that require thinking and tactics and is good at provoking her opponents into making bad moves. Some say that Mes Fortuna is so single minded when she has a goal in mind that she doesn't care how one achieves results, often eschewing ethics by the wayside, but her defenders say that Mes Fortuna is a gem in a crisis and that anyone who would speak ill of her is simply jealous of her powerful nature.

Parents

  • Lord Chiro Sennet (step-father) (deceased)
  • Lady Rena Sennet (presumed to be deceased)

Siblings

Fortuna was only about seven years old when the Great War happened and her family was captured or killed. Her mother, her step-father and her baby half-sister, Geesha, all went missing. Fortuna remembers her mother sending the baby off with a nurse, and she continued to search for her sister for such a long time, even though she feared that the baby had probably died, or been renamed in an orphanage. Years and years ago. But Geesha is here. Alive and well and a noble Sennet, even as Fortuna has become only a Senista. Fortuna means to spend some good quality time with her sister, now that she's found her.

Children

Idomeneus is a serious young man, and one of the kids that Fortuna took in. She doesn't know exactly how they're related to the family, but she believes that they are Sennets and might be the children of her adopted uncle's. Fortuna thinks Idomeneus is dependable and sturdy, and is glad that he's now married to Tazra and on the way to starting a good family. Idomeneus lost his two children, his home... everything... not very long ago, when a firebomb was dropped on their house.

A waif of a girl but spunky, no one knows exactly how she and her brother Idomeneus are related to the Sennet family as a whore, but they have bonded with the others in the Sennet mansion so tightly it doesn't matter. Fortuna admires Polydonna's pluck and adventurous spirit, so much so that a marriage was arranged between the girl and a Ticanee man called Murat when she became pregnant. Much tragedy has happen between the two since, name Murat being capture by the Shamibelians and in resort Poly and the children moved back home. She's no longer a girl either -- and Murat came back, released by the goats.

One of the girls Fortuna found in the orphanage who the nurses insisted was a Sennet. She never knew Brinna quite well, but was dismayed and surprised when the girl was arrested and accused of murdering, the former Clan Leader Eve, who was the wife of the then-Griffon Clan Leader Judanarius Corinala - who rumor has it Brinna was a mistress for! Fortuna was never sure how she's related, but she had accepted her into the family with open arms, and was confused and saddened by the whole incident. In 22 A.U., Brinna was executed for the poisoned death of Lady Eve by trial.

Asapaia was one of the 'Sennets' that Brinna took in. The girl confessed once that she had a bracelet of gold with the name 'Sennet' etched on it, but Fortuna has never seen it, and of course Asapaia claimed it was taken from her during a war campaign. Brinna's trip to the Oracle, and what she learned there, and Fortuna's own suspicions about Asapaia do no mix well, but Fortuna did not overly like or trust Asapaia, certain that the young guard would try to take all that Fortuna has worked hard for - a worry that never can to fruition as Asapaia was killed during the market massacre of 33 A.U. She left behind a son, Solas, who was killed when a firebomb struck their home.
