Friends Remembered

From FiranMUX

Jump to: navigation, search

This is a tribute to those players who played on Firan, but have passed on from this world.

This is a step in the healing process for those players who interacted with the deceased, and acts as a focal point in sharing thoughts and memories regarding our departed friends. Players are encouraged to submit logs, pictures of the player, character art, or any other information they wish to contribute to each entry for a player listed here. The thing to remember, always, is that Firan is a family — and we grieve for those that we have lost.

Here are some of the memories and moments that we have for you.

Elizabeth Potter

Doyana, Nespya and Zinasi had a single player and was a valued member of extended Firan family. She passed away on Tuesday, March 28th, 2006 at 7:35 pm CT after losing her fight with breast cancer. She had been a player of Firan since June 30, 2004 (and was Nespya since August 4, 2004). She had many friends on Firan and she will be sorely missed.

If you like, you can send donations to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or one of the other breast cancer charities. Doyana herself was a sponsor of several Firan players who participated in DC-area walk-a-thons and we are sure she would appreciate the sentiment.

David Elliott

"Davey," as he was known to friends, played Zarid in the table-top game. Davey was a bit crazy, a lot of fun, and full of life until he died in a stupid, drug-related accident. We'll miss his zany plots and schemes and his irrascible charm.

Letty Smith

Letty played Velani in the table-top game. She was always the voice of reason for the party, and she is partly to credit for the group accomplishing anything. She, too, lost her battle with breast cancer.
