Overview
Dark, hawk-nosed and savage looking, Gaddineez has an exotic look to him. He is in the prime of his life, masculine, overpoweringly foreign.
Background
Of all the three gods, only one can care for the Bonduins now. Ulashanai. For no people needs vengeance as the Bonduins do. There are so few of us left in the plains now. Scattered little tribes, trying to carve out a livelihood. Once we had great cities. We were the most civilized in the region, and now, everything has fallen under the Shamibelian chariots. Everything. They say that Ulashanai favors them, and so maybe he does if they are the only ones who worship. It was always said that one should not ignore the dark god, honor him, and revere him, for his way brings honor and keeps order, but we turned our backs on him and he on us, and now the Bonduins may be no more. I grew up in a small tribe, living off what land the Shamibelians had left to us. It is said that we have lost all Bonduin ways. My tribe was formed of children who had fled when they were young, and have now grown old. Even they do not know the old ways, but only that there are ways we have lost. I hunted. And most of all, I wanted to tame an elephant for our chieftain. Unfortunately, the elephant did not want to be tamed. It chased me until I became lost, and then it gored my neck with its tusks. I ran away, until the bleeding felled me, and I lay dying, and praying. That is when the Great Lady came to me, and asked me if I had hatred. I felt it. And she healed me and saved my life. And now I owe her a life-debt, and I will follow her all my days. She took me out of the bonduin plains and has led me here to this place, where Firans are. She wished to preach the word of Ulashanai, and I vowed to help her in this, and anything else she asked of me. I did not know how to make many Firan words, but she told me I had to try and to learn Firan ways.
Personality & Beliefs
Gaddineez is a protective, almost paranoid man. He is always looking for trouble, tensing his hand on his spear, watching out for things to be angry about. He is a simple man and devout to his god. He is also a stranger in a foreign land that he does not understand. He has a fierce hatred of the Shamibelians, and a bitterness about the bonduin people but is still uncomfortable with the Firan tongue, so he has a sense of isolation and hostility about him even though his dark eyes show a great spirit underneath.
