GALUMNAE ISTARINIAD

Mes Galumnae Istariniad, of the esteemed Griffon family, was born to Anala and Garis Istariniad in 22 A.U. As a child, she was very close to her mother and they both had an adoration for being in the spotlight and an attraction to anything that glittered. She also adored her father, Garis, and doted on him lovingly. She was an adorable child, easily got what she wanted, and seemed to lead a good life in the Griffon clan with her large family. She was known for having a bit of a temper if things did not go her way and lacked a certain tact, but on the whole, Galumnae was charming.

Galumnae loved being the center of attention so much that when she became an adult, she decided to become an actress. Known not for her brains -- but for an ability to charm and cajole people -- Galumnae seemed on the rise. She married Vetter Dristarna and became pregnant, but sadly miscarried the child half-way through her pregnancy. In 38 A.U., no more than a year after her lost child, Galumnae went missing. She was gone for some time but with little uproar, save for a speech by Lord Rodiste N'Gato about her having vanished, until Mer Junot found her body on the bank of the river north of Anarinuell.

The Istariniad actress had been tied up with ropes, strangled, and rumors swirled that she was wrapped in a tent, naked. Not long after the discovery of her body came the discovery of a Mes Savni's, also strangled in a similar way. People gossiped for a time and the city was on alert; Lord Belome told the city of her death and young women were careful to stay inside the walls. Galumnae served as a reminder of the dangers beyond the First's protection. Her lifeless body remained in the Temple of Unot for a long time while the city scoured to find her murderer, though was finally sent to Unot on March 17 39 A.U. Her killer has yet to be captured.
