Overview
Geloe is the second daughter of Legendary brewer Kachina Firona and long time Mercenary Madix Cellini. She is Old City to the core, passionate about the life of freedom, at the expense of respect from the wallers. She couldn't care less. Nothing can take her out of the Old City, save death.
Currently, she runs the Opening Gambit, alongside Keeshan, hosting practically respectable parties, open to all walks of life to simply enjoy life, drinking, and of course, making stenis. She is a locksmith by trade and a brewer by hobby, following closely in her mother's footsteps. Her newest project involves breeding the elusive hounds, studying from Mes Rasha Rissik.
She switches from quiet, brooding and dark, to sarcastic, lively and teasing, depending on the situation. She is no thug, that much is clear, but her words are her weapons, used to deflect, to cut, to wound or defend. While, at times, she seems to channel her mother's fiery temper, she has none of the mindless ranting. Everything she does, every argument she gets into, there's a reason behind.

Personality & Beliefs
Geloe has a fondness for brooding, but not to the point of being somber. She's a quiet and reserved child who likes to observe things from afar, rather than be in the thick of things and the center of attention. Social situations generally make her uncomfortable. If she is approached and asked to do something she'll do it to the best of her ability. She takes a quiet sort of pride in her work, knowing she's done the best she can. There is rarely a day that she'll complain about what she's asked to do, and often enjoys challenging endeavors. She enjoys mental challenges just for the thrill of them. They allow her the rare opportunity to exercise her mind. She often feels stunted by the Old City environment, but it is the only home that she knows. She would never dream of ever leaving the family and friends she's made there, to become one of those miserable wallers. She's fiercely protective of everyone she loves, but woe betide those who have made her 'List'. Those are the people she hates with a passion, and will do everything she can to make their lives miserable. However, once she's made friends with someone, they are her friend for life until and unless they do something to deeply betray her trust. It is only then that they become one of her most hated foes, and once someone has gone onto her 'List' there is no forgiveness or turning back. Geloe is very adamant about her belief that the Gods don't exist, and will completely deny them even if proof is shoved under her nose of their existence. She thinks that there is a logical explanation for everything, from complete revivals to the disasters that sometimes happen out of the blue. The strange creatures , like the Chimera and the Carnotti, are creatures of old that existed long before they were around that were sleeping for a very, very long time, for instance, and it's just their time to wake up and be part of the world once more. She won't let anyone sway her from her personal beliefs, and feels so strongly about them that sometimes she starts fights with other kids over her beliefs. Those who continue to pressure her into believing what they do are automatically added to her 'List' of people she doesn't like. The only people she'll forgive in that respect are her parents, and only because they are her parents and she loves them so fiercely. Since her ceremony of souls, she's become more wildly temperamental, taking her brooding fits and alternating them with periods of outright charm and glee. Her sarcastic wit and sharp tongue are noted among her peers, sharpening even more with age.
Ranks & Offices
There's little in the way of rank or offices in her lifestyle, unless you count the managing of the Opening Gambit. And, really, if she WERE within the ranks of whatever Old City Organization there might be, no one would know.
Family Life
Geloe's family are the only people in the world that can truly make her happy. Everyone else is fair game.
Parents
- Kachina: Legendary brewer, legendary mouth, legend in Old City culture. Kachina, especially when she were drunk or upset would confide in her quiet daughter. She was an icon. Geloe loved her very much, though was very conscious of her flaws... her infidelities. Geloe always knew she was loved, and loved fiercely. Geloe admires the good qualities of her mother, and glosses over the bad.
- Madix: Faithful, loyal, true... almost the exact opposite of his wife. He's as nice as Kachina was mean, and Geloe never understood why exactly he stayed with her. But Geloe knew it was something special, and she idolizes her father. She wants to be more like him than like her mother, even if she fears the opposite is true from time to time.
Siblings
- Niobe: Her Elder sister and her protector. Where Niobe is the brawn, Geloe is the brains. The two make a nearly perfect team, getting each other into and out of trouble. Geloe tempers Niobe's ferocity, while Niobe draws Geloe out of her brooding. The two raised their younger siblings after Kachina died, and they have an unbreakable and unshakable bond because of it.
- Kandara: Geloe's elder younger sibling. She's Niobe... without the reason and the temperance. She's fiery. She's an inferno, more aptly put. She's violent, hot tempered and strong. She exasperates Geloe, but she's proud of Kandara. She just hopes she doesn't find herself dead before her time.
- Kadia: Geloe's kindred spirit. They're the quiet ones, communicating without so much as word most of the time. Kadia is also the... white sheep of the family. She's proper, mannered and simply /good./ Because of this, Geloe takes extreme steps at times to keep the thugs from messing with her.
Marriage
Raef: Geloe was a reluctant bride, to say the least. At first, she tried to seduce Raef time and time again, and each time, he pushed her away. He became a challenge. They found themselves seeking out each other's company, doing a strange courting dance that Geloe didn't realize until it was too late. Now, he seems to be her perfect compliment, rather than opposite. Occasionally, she still can't understand why she got married, but she won't imagine her life without him.
They married by simply asserting their love and commitment to each other, but, the world didn't accept that. As Geloe's pregnancy started to show, to keep her from being forced into a whorehouse, they got married in the Zinnian temple, officiated by Geloe's cousin-in-law, Phillida. Neither of them seem to be ones to be traditional, in any way, so the chaos involved with their nuptials fits far too perfectly.
When Raef was killed (June, 41 AU) after being arrested for attempted kidnapping, Geloe went into hiding. A fugitive, a widow, something died with her when Raef did. Turning in on herself, all she has now is her anger... and her desire to see her beloved avenged.
Children
- Aenix - Born just months before Raef died, he is the reminder of her greatest joy and her greatest pain. Geloe tells Aenix stories every night as they lay down to sleep. Stories of his father, about his strength and courage. She doesn't know how, but she is determined to raise Aenix as a great warrior, just like his father.
Accomplishments
- Creating 'Steni' (Bingo) -- As part of her attempts to get life into the Gambit, Geloe invented a game specifically designed for Proper Women.
- Gambit -- The Opening Gambit is her baby. She's determined to make it successful once more.
Enemies
- The List: Geloe has a List. These are people that have no hope of redemption in her eyes. Notable members of the List have been Beyzo, Wendos and Priapa. Current members are kept secret, lest they try and escape their fate.
- Geloe's a mouthy wench. Lots of people can't stand her. She's Old City. The entire First Division is her enemy.
Allies
- Raef: Her partner, in life and in... well... you get the drift. With his death, a huge hole is left in her life.
- Niobe: Her sister, and her other half, in that platonic way.
- Furen: Ok, so, this depends on the day, but Geloe trusts few people. She trusts Furen, for reasons known only to herself.
- The Old City: Most of the Old City she would consider an ally in varying degrees, though, she tends to rub people the wrong way from time to time.
- Zakaria: Lady Zakaria was her mother's sponsor and remains close to the Firona family. Geloe knows she can count on the Lady to help her, should she need it.
- Lucas: Her Royal sponsor, and business partner, of sorts. He looks to make stenis. She looks to make stenis. They have an odd, but potentially lucrative relationship. After the arrest, though, Lucas dropped her as a sponsoree. Their alliance is uncertain at this point.
Scandals & Failures
- Geloe and Raef's marriage was scoffed at by many, even if they considered it real. They went through the motions and got married in front of a priest, however. And, well, christened the wedding maze in true Old City tradition.
- Kalissa Kidnapping: Raef and Geloe, allegedly, tried to kidnap Kalissa Jessamyn. Raef was captured and killed by the guards. Geloe is currently in hiding, a fugitive and a widow.
Habits
- Swearing a little too much, just like her mother.
