GILDA DELPHINUS

Gilda Delphinus, the celebrated Cockatrice matchmaker, lost her life in early 36 A.U. A joy filled woman who brought love and happiness to others, not only through the matches she made but through her own joy of living and sparking personality, she was devoted to her family and to enriching others' lives by matching them with mates who would give them a chance at joy and happiness. Her memory for faces and names made her skilled in her field, and her friendliness with all made her welcome anywhere she went.

Originally from Sarkaran, she came with her family to Anarinuell to seek her fortune. Her marriage was arranged as a child, and she was lucky to be in love with the man who was chosen as her husband, until he died fighting the Shamibelians like a hero. She lived without a husband from then on, unable to find a mate for herself, but despite this, she seemed to have an uncanny knack for making matches that would prove fruitful and loving for the couple. Unfortunately for Gilda, she was not blessed with any children of her own during her early marriage, but her work as a matchmaker helped to expand the clan of the Cockatrice.

Gilda Delphinus was found dead, her throat slit, in her matchmaking shop, where assassins holed up and shot at the wedding party of Lord Ojitar and Princess Tia, in late January of 36 A.U. She is survived by her brothers Zalman and Spyridon and her sister Viviana. The matchmaker who could find a spouse for everyone but herself, died without husband or children, the apparent victim of ruthless men.
