Ok, Dragons! I had to bail out yesterday to get to school today, but the newsletter is just around the corner!

IC NEWS: --- The Shamibelian Raids --- The Shamibelians wage war in a new way: Firebombs at night, using any lightsource on the ground for target. Falling griffons prove nearly as disastrous to our city! Nurseries were attacked, and children injured or killed. Adults too, of course. After the first raid, we managed to prepare some defenses, and many enemies have been taken out. Not without a cost, but we have done well. Indigos and Nikos, with their pilots, killed a large number of enemies. They stand out as heroes of the huge airborne campaign going on. But Lord Primo Dawn did best of all, with his group. Judanus took a drop and went into a coma. After fighting bravely. We turn the lights out at night. Meaning we can't do cooking that requires fire. The Eternal Flame of Zutiv is still lit, and it would seem bad to change that. Pilots stalked shamibelians into the forbidden northlands, from which journey only one returned. Giant eagles and other perils defeated them. Lord Atreides Keniwik led a revenge attack on Ellish, costly in lives, but successful.

--- The Hydra of Arinzi --- It seems an assassin got Pavan! Then one who named himself (Lord) Draugik (IstaDraugik) took charge, and claimed that he was in league with the retired Ranivor Vahlgellan. Which is a good name. It seems the alledged Lord Draugik truly is the one and only great military leader who betrayed us! 2000 Eagle soldiers and 200 Hydrans are dead. Eagle Clan Leader Zeysani and Lord Nikos Tanelish were captured by the Hydras of Arinzi! Exactly what was true and what was not may not be entirely clear, but the retired Ranivor Vahlgellan is ready to accept Regency over the Hydra clan! It is not obvious that the Eagle Clan had just cause in marching on Arinzi. Perhaps it is not a bad thing that they rejected DragonAid? Sir Captain Anikos performed the amazing feat of successfully commanding his soldiers to leave. With the permission of Prince Viceroy Sadin, Lord Taleo Teranzik has brought forth charges for 'Lord' Draugik, and required that he face the Clan Council. Republic action!

A message from Arinzi (written in shamibelian) just about proves that Draugik is a traitor. It is obvious enough that there is reason to doubt it, lying around like that. But who wouldn't believe /that/ to be true?

--- The Hydra of Anarinuell --- Maybe not Regent After All Katarus of the Hydra made a campaign against Pavan which backfired, because his own ghastly past was revealed in it. Swapping wives? That is completely unacceptable! Absolutely. Draugik claims Lord Rodellos left (in a kidnappey fashion) to bring the Clan Leader's medallion to Vahlgellan. True?

--- OTHER --- I include this because it amuses me: Due to his keen powers of observation and social conscience, Lord Tagali Shadina is hereby appointed, in addition to his duties as Minister of Finance, Bear Under-Secretary In Charge of Water Barrels! Clans have had some proxy appointments. @leaders <clan> to see who's who. Young Lord Banian, son of Clan Leader Nydiam, was lost and found. Kidnapped. Praise to Lord Razesh Didoron (Leader of the Red Claw Legion) and the Didoron household! Mer Zingo of the bear clan seems to be Pavan, while Pavan is merely Pavan's twin. Chimera (most of them) return peacefully from bear clan territory. Good diplomatic work from both clans! Olympics postponed (due to ResDay troubles). Sacred documents burned. And some corpses. But if they burn, then maybe their souls are free to go anyway? Let the priests tell you that, if you worry.

AWARDS: Roleplayer of the week: Primo

That should wrap it up, but I give no guarantees. I try to keep things readable. If you think this is too long, look at the headlines and read those that interest you.
