~ The Market Massacre ~ (also known as Anikos' Folly) Timeline 1) Mob gathers and gets angry 2) Air and ground forces arrive, led by 3 gold dragon commanders: Commander Pentheus Aegrotik (guard)(Dead) Lord Commander Rivaren Manosik (second division) Commander Anikos Aurik - Sharanir until the day of his death (dead) It remains unclear why Anikos, who commands the air forces, would take part in riot control, and even more so why the airforce itself would. 3) The mob is threatened with arrest, but does not give in. 4) Griffons are used to frighten the mob, which all should know is bad. 5) Anikos (still a Sharanir) is summoned to Viceroy Taleo and sent back to clean up the mess, or die trying. He does both. 6) Anikos loses his title and several plots of land (to eagles). -- It is a well known fact (news air force policy) that griffons can NOT be used for crowd control because of their viciousness. As the griffons involved in this horrible event have tasted human blood, they had to be hunted and killed. We can only hope they got all of them. -- Blame for this affair is placed: Primary: Anikos. Secondary: Gold dragon commanders present. Finally: The gold dragon clan. -- People seem to think too much military bussiness is left to us! Overall recruitment is skyrocketing. -- Viceroy Taleo offers his resignation (however he still wants the continued trust of the council), but makes a good, responsible and progressive impression. Perhaps he can stay. -- Our mourning period has been extended by 6 months because of Anikos' actions.
~ The Children of Draugik ~ -The children of Draugik are transferred from the griffon clan to the eagle clan by Lord Viceroy Taleo, so that they are subject to eagle justice. -Princess Ania sentences 4 Draugik kids to death (no trial, and she hasn't got them). This is a popular announcement. -A 500.000 stenis reward was announced for information that would lead to the capture of Draugik's kids (500.000 apiece!). Apparently it is too late to take Donos up on that offer. -Lord Regent Donos claims to have the kids in custody, and has announced that however much he wants to kill them, he will follow tradition and offer them some sort of trial. It seems that the eagle opinion is going to be the judge of this case, so we know what we can expect.
~ The False Prophet ~ -Lady Akiva, the judge who officially passed the sentence on Meliha, is being accused of being a twin-lover, and those who favour(ed) Meliha consider the charges and evidence a government cover-up.
~ Other news ~ -Prince Torianos Elianik has completed a biography of (his father) Prince Vahlon Elianik - copy will be found in the Great Library. -Mer Kalchus Jaldrish has been appointed Hydra Olympics coordinator. Who is ours? Somethings said on chan one day indicated Recis. -By 19-emit we are putting pressure on our clan leader to get married, possibly to his most recent wife. At least it should be another dragon. Why Lady Emeelya should accept remarriage: news divorced sexuality. -The Griffon child Nirus is now Nirus Lapis (son of Adamanthaea and Zakaro). -Hadinikas is rumoured to be the one who actually killed Pavan (and was returned dead). He's getting/got buried. There'll be a bundle of funerals in the near future, I suppose. -Lord Regent Aldrikos was missing from his own Open Hours! -Princess Ania and Prince Zaridos move in at the palace to learn more leadership from the Viceroy. And one could contact the Princess by a messenger to her Lady in Waiting, Lady Seyhalia Tanelish. -Updated rules are being made for the racing league. A 'reward' was announced for translating them into ticanee, and Lady Nevra IstaBarun volunteered as race coordinator. Wanna race? Check the rules, submit an application (messenger, most likely).
