Much of the Republic was shocked recently by the news that Lady Inessa Didoron, wed during the festival to Lord Lutrios N'Gadanik, was killed in her home, apparently by poison. Rumors abound as to who her killer can be, some thinking it her husband, and others thinking it to be his estranged mother, Mes Jia Tanelish. Her funeral was well attended with many putting in a good word about the departed Lady. Rumor has it that some sort of disturbance occured at the funeral, but to find out what it is, one would have to speak with someone who attended.
Lord Zafir Junik, one of the heads of the noble Gold Dragon families, has been so exemplary in his service to his clan as of late that people are starting to take note. He is a model citizen and a good example to follow. On a less cheerful note, people are starting to take note of Mer Kell, who is about to be tried for the attempted murder of Lord Trikon Ista Barun. Further attention was drawn to him when it was announced today that the pilot was to be relieved of his duties until such matters could be resolved. Assaulting a noble lord is quite a serious crime. This week we are praising Zafir and dissing Kell if it would be IC for your character to do so.
The Harvest Celebration held at the Gold Dragon Mansion recently seemed to go off quite well, with many of our clan's citizens in attendance. Clan Leader Jalil gave quite an inspirational speech, lauding Lord Proxy Argus and the many ministers of the Gold Dragon Clan for their good work. He also announced that he and his wife Lady Emeelya are expecting their second child.
It seems that Elvetes Emagalish is staying in Anarinuell longer than his friends and relations expected. Instead of receiving new orders and returning to his troops near Ellish in the 3rd division, he has been transfered to the 1st division due to a new law prohibiting anyone over 30 from fighting. Word gets around that Elvetes is now a Captain in the investigations section of the city guard, answering directly to Lord Commander Porfirio.
Mes Ortense Emagalish has been seen about the city quite often recently, delivering two children in the span of a couple weeks. She delivered Nalandra and Omnetten Coyote's baby boy and then Nora and Dinesh Jaffus's baby girl. She is said to be quite skilled and her services as a midwife are in demand.
Lady Throgana Keniwik is enraged at a recent break in to her home, and it's rumored that she has a letter penned by the culprit's hand as well as witnesses to the event. Its also said that servants have been seen tramping in and out of the Keniwik mancion, tossing out food and drink. What could it mean?
Winia Keniwik has been taking significant deliveries of ore and been doing a lot of smelting work (now has smelting 3). She's got plenty of ore on hand and is eager to do business.
