Into the Spring of Things
Answering the desperate call of the desperate Spring Festival Chefs, Mer Umaish sent some Poultry and bones to Mes Oliana to be used for festival food preparations. Possibly from some roosters.
A Fish By Any Other Name
Sir Commander Alessandro Keniwik was challenged by Mer Mariusz to an arm wrestling match. When the Mer reported he had little income that he cared to bet, Sir Alessandro came up with an alternative wager: If he won, in a best 2 our of 3 contest, then Mer Mariusz of the Cockatrice (Or as Sir Alessandro has been taken to saying, the /Floofitrice/, since none of them could hit the target hard enough to dunk him in the booth) would have to carry around a fish named 'Dalumran' for the rest of the festival. And as it turns out, Sir Alessandro handilydefeated Mer Mariusz, and he kept his word. Make sure to compliment Mer Mariusz on his wonderful fish!
Little Girls Make Good Orphans
There's a new girl living in Zutiv's Blesssing Orphanage apparently. The girl named Laveda recently arrived in Anarinuell after having made her way to the Spring Festival. She's been welcomed to live in the clan's orphanage and rumour has it that she's 9 years old, so still young enough to be adopted, and has good manners. Mer Raheem and Mes Uryella appear to be quite pleased with yet another addition to the children in their care, but are eager to remind the people that they would be even more pleased if more people had an interest in giving a proper home to some of the girls in their care. If you're interested in adoption? Please consider meeting with one of our orphanage caretakers.
Out and About
Lady Yoshi actually went out to the festival! For the first time in years she went out, with Lord Osirus as her escort she walked around slowly and even got a fish to take home won for her by the Lord escorting her. Who knows what this means, it could mean nothing but it looked like, or could it be more? Only time will tell.
Shine a Little Light For Me
The Candles of Zutiv is an organization for monotheistic children, probably to combat the number of pagan youth organizations. It used to be headed by Lord Adeem N'Gadanik, but now that he's becoming an adult, Tarquin has been named as his successor as Chief Candle Holder.
Fiora Jones's Diary
Apparently Fiora has an admirer or two! Back during war season a soldier commissioned something for her from one of the city jewelers, it's only just now been finished! Three sets of gold hairpins with jewels on them! Oh my! Who is this mystery soldier? Will they be married?
Lord of the Festival Juno of the Bear clan seems to have taken quite an interest in women during this festival. Singling many out for kisses of a chaste kind, only some of them are not so chaste. In fact, rumour has it that he was seen kissing Fiora on the Festival grounds and the young woman looked absolutely shocked!
There's also the possibility that one of those siblings she's been looking for all these years has finally been found! The two bumped into each other at the Festival and Fiora swears that she recognizes the younger Laveda, so much that she's hoping to to have the girl come live with her. Though it seems right now she's living in the Zutiv's Blessing Orphanage.
Gotta Get Shopping
All shopowners or renters of the shops within the Gold Dragon District are encouraged to send word of your ownership/rental as soon as possible to Lord Urminius. Those that fail to do so before festivals end will be held accountable. (OOC: If the shopowner or renter is on roster but in your family, you can send word on their behalf via scroll or messenger.)
The KidFest Report
In the ongoing Kidfest, one of the Orphans of the Zutiv's Blessing Orphanage, Mes 'Pirate' Laveda has participated in two of the events. She placed second to last in the Kidfest's Booty Call soon after arriving in town, and then she proceeded to place second place in the Pirate's Union mystery challenge, with her partner, Apagarik!
The Great Event
Lord Cortik and Lord Tyrsun are hosting an event that tests your dodging ability this Festival! All Gold Dragon Men are encouraged to attend and all the Ladies of the Clan are expected to be in the stands cheering on and supporting their clansmen. Check it out on @cal 8541! Sunday!

Military Awards Are Coming
From all over the city of Anarinuell, smartly dressed Republic sentries are knocking on doors, saluting, breaking open a sealed document and reading something which sounds very formal, very honoured - judging from the reactions of those receiving the news. Did /you/ get an invitation? It seems that the awards ceremony is going to be huge, and tongues wag: who will be there? who is getting awarded? what are they getting awarded? and just what will this ceremony be?!

Cool Toy of the Week
Maybe you missed it the first time around! If so:
The staff of Firan is seeking and want to recognize those players who have been on Firan for 5+ years or longer. These players are people who have stuck around through thick and thin, and know a vast majority of the game's history, and know some of the game's most intimidate secrets. They are also the players that many of our newcomers seek out in order to get up to speed or learn the pace and setting of the game. They are our hubs. We want to make sure we are not neglecting them, and they are also getting proper care and feeding. These players will be able to select an alt to be added to our @elders list and have a tag placed in their @finger stating they are a veteran player of Firan, and have a means to help make the game a better place.
So, if you are a player who has been on Firan for 5+ years, and want such public recognition, and want to help make the game a better place - @request Elder Interest and let me know about your interest.

A Plea From Rasha
Hello, I hope you will put this in your newsletter because I'm a bit lost. You see, I'm updating Omri who after having been played since childhood by the same player, recently rostered. And as a result, her sheet is in many ways still that of an 11-year-old girl. I need not only new and updated relationships, but I also need information to put in her personality and background. I know there's several long-term GD players around, or even not-so-long-term ones who do have relationships with and information on Omri. Could you perhaps ask in the GD letter for those players to send any and all (non-secret) information about omri they have to me? Upto and including the names and ages of their children, since not all of them are on her sheet.
