Clan leader Amenik has broken his mourning silence to pass judgement on a killer. Mer Seffiros apparently confessed and earned himself what some might think to be an easier sentence than most. He is conscripted to the hilitary as a poison taster for the rest of his years. His parents also shared in his judgement and are to beaten till unconscious every year till Mer Seffiros dies. However...
The Hydran people recoil in shock and horror at Clan Leader Amenik's judgment today - particularly those that know the accused. Mer Seffiros was said to be a man devoted to the traditions and ways of the clan, and those close to him refuse to believe he is guilty. Others question the charges of killing rather than murder - those killed were old men, left with cut throats to bleed out their lives across the pavement, and their killer should surely have been charged with murder, say they. A third set mutters that there was no open trial, so the details will never be known. Overall, however, it is a feeling of dazed confusion that permeates the clan this wintry day, as the Hydra clan reflects on the fact that something so horrific could happen so very close to home.
As time wears on after the death of Lady Gemella and other clans announce periods of mourning, the Gold Dragons wonder why there has been no announcement of the same for them. Surely in times such as these they should stand side by side with their monotheistic brethren?
With a specially made saddle, Garissa the giant eagle took Lord Sharin Rissik into the air as a real rider. They were seen over the city circling landmarks and enjoying each other totally. It's obvious, the eagle has chosen a rider and she's staying in Anarinuell. The only question remains -- where will the airforce keep a griffon eating eagle and her First Division rider?
The Gold Dragon soup kitchen has expended its remit under Lady Kameelya's watchful eye. She's seeking clothiers to donate sets of clothing so that the poor might have everything they need.
Life is not all good for Lady Kameelya however. Gossip is flying around several districts that she verbally attacked her sister Yapra and the ensuing argument caused Lady Timandra Rissik to nearly lose her unborn child. Details of the argument are sketchy to say the least but such behaviour is not becoming of either Gold Dragon woman.
In light of Lady Pia's recent judgement that Lady Juneva is suffering from water sickness, the city as a whole are looking rather askance at the Sennet family. Could it be that they were responsible for bringing the sickness back to the city?
The land deeded to Mes Starlette Aegrotik has been transferred to her Head of Household, Mer Magnus Aegrotik, who is to begin its management immediately in recognition of his hard work and familial dedication.
It appears to be Ticanee judgement season. Once again Mes Tagda's name makes the rounds as she's sentenced for something or other. So soon after Melani's judgement against her people wonder if it's simply the proxies flexing their judgement muscles, but all in all they'd like some quiet please.
On a happier note the children of Mes Dantana and Mer Panisto have been returned to their family after the parents being judged fit to care for them once more. The sceptical wonder how long before they are once more found guilty of neglect especially with the addition of the 'no second chances' detail. But all in all it's considered a good thing.
