Around the Walls:
It seems the Eagles and the Hydra are trying to make some reparations prior to war season. Clan Leader Ania announced the betrothals of Lord Tarnot Iberik and Lady Selia Istabelik, and Lady Kassia N'Gato and Lord Talion Iberik. Along with the announcement, later endorsed by Clan Leader Amenik, it was announced that trading is once more allowed between the clans. The cynical wonder how long the peace will last this time, though it seems the hope is more that the bickering will finally be over.
Word spreads through the city that the smallest eagle hatchling has allowed Lord Sharin Rissik to name her, the only person the mother eagle has allowed near her children. A moment later, she was back in the nest with the other eaglets, but the tiniest eagle now has a name: Garissa after the great hero and Giant Eagle rider -- Garen, Sharin Rissik's own grandfather.
A fire broke out in the forum as a result of a runaway horse and a lit candle. The flames were eventually doused, but not before a mass panic of horse and humans caused rather a crush in the forum. None are reported to have died, and even the strange Nekhat were there to lend a hand, or voice.
The Republic Fifth Division is gathering supplies for war season, and will be needing a great deal some of which is hoped to be gifted by the general populous. Healing supplies, metal ores of all types, iron and bronze ingots, leather, bones, meat, sinews, wood, flint, rope, baskets, and amphoras are all being accepted. All donations should be directed to General Alexa Wolfhawk or Lady Captain Akiva Ista Aldrik.
The Griffons appear to have a case of bouncing babies. A child by the name of Zhurai was adopted to Mes Vinoria and Mer Keeshan, and then the adoption ruling was rescinded suddenly and an investigation annouced. Gossip abounds.
The marriage of Lady Xamori Teranzik and Lord Fiero Sennet passed without incident, as did the masked ball that followed. Quite an unusual thing these days, and the republic breathes a collective sigh of relief hoping that the time of weding disasters is now over.
There is a rumor going around that the slaving foreigners tried to help heal people in the forum today after the fire, and that they might have fire healing magic that can put out fires, or so General Lucian was overheard to say.
Lady Kemeelya once more announced that the soup kitchen was open for business and fully stocked with food (and guarded to prevent tampering). This announcement had one addition that has been welcomed by many - that Mer Magnus Aegrotik will be present to aid those in need of healing over the cold times. For free!
((Disclaimer: One, none or all of todays pieces of gossip may in fact be completely made up by your resident evil FacEye. Isnt gossip fun that way.))
