Temple Whispers
There are whisperings at the True Temple and pagan Temples amidst the worshippers, initiates and priests. Why hasn't a Religious Council been called for? Those in the know say that Her Honor, High Priestess Fidelia, seems to be making enemies where she thought she had friends. Whispers go around that it is because the High Priestess has done or not done something and is deceiving the city, putting it in harm's way on purpose. Could she also be in league with Lord Tiernan as she seems to have her network busy trying to protect him? There seems to be an unusual activity witnessed by others on High Priestess Fidelia. Is it time for brave souls to find out her treachery! It has to be better than getting mauled by lions she's brought!
Rumor has it that after Mer Canot's request for unmarried maidens to meet him at the Forum so he could choose a wife that Acting High Priest Sedarius, Lord Initiate Rodiste, and Lord Initiate Osirus arrested Mer Canot in the True Temple and took him into the custody of the Inquisition. There was no resistance on the part of Mer Canot and he was led to the Ecclesiastical Jail cell. It wasn't long after he was taken into the cell when there were shouts heard from that very cell. The shouts seemed to be coming from Canot himself and Father Sedarius. Anyone who passed by could hear things like, "Zutiv is the Only God!" and "All Gods Exist! Obey the Gods Laws!" No one knows quite for sure what went on during the inquisition, but one thing can be sure it wasn't good. Father Sedarius has called all Priests and Initiates of the True Temple together for a Council of Inquisitors to meet and discuss the situation. Whispers in the temple say that there were others there when he was arrested and it needs ot be noted that the Inquisitors are a sight to behold. The fact of the matter is from the ones inside that temple its hard cold truth, that Canot was arrested and placed into the custody of the Inquisition so that his soul may be examined and all rumors may be brought to light.
Canot's Capers
Over at the Black Water, there can be laughter and chuckles heard.
Drinker One: "Yeah, did ya see? 'bout time some young lad was keepin' up the ol' days. No matter if Canot is a damn irritable sort, he's got the spirit fer sure." Drink Two: "What do you mean?" he says, sporting a black eye from an earlier encounter. Drinker One: He laughs and says, "ha ha, go on over t' the Aegrotik Insula, won' spoil a good Gold Dragon Winter Solstice fer ya. Gunna send him a gift too."
Lady Firgalik Sightings (OOooh AAAaaah)
TIA GOT MAULED BY A LION ONOES.
Tia was seen going into the baths with not just Princess Sparklepoof, but also FOUR ferrets! Rumor has it there was much squealing and splashing and general merriment.
Snowman's ball! She gave a speech about it, 27/56! Woo.
General District Gossip
As news of Mer Kato's and Mes Ryanna's marriage is spread through the district, so is a softer, more subdued source of gossip - spread mainly by the elderly women who know of the past. Of the old Emagalish curse they whisper, which was the cause for the lack of multiple children in that respected family. And now the head of that family married out his oldest son after the lad had barely come of age! Perhaps he is not really of Emagalish blood? Perhaps Mer Bukatio wanted to get rid of him as soon as possible? Or was there perhaps pressure from the High Inquisitor himself to hand over the oldest son for one reason or another? And who will be heir of the Emagalish family now? One of Mer Bukatio's younger sons... or young Elvetus, son of Nivar. Perhaps he had some part to play as well? Rumour and speculation flows through the district as people wag their tongues.
Despite the cold weather, Father Sedarius has been seen inside the Gold Dragon district with a team of architects and the seem to be in the midst of building a large estate. Could it be that the Firabi family is moving into the District after so many years of living outside the walls. Perhaps now that Sedarius is Acting High Priest he wishes to be closer to the Temple. One thing can be said for certain, the estate is going to be a sight to behold, that's for sure.
Word from Zutiv's Blessing Orphanage that the baby girl found at the True Temple last year has grown up into a rather temperamental little girl with unruly hair and a charming manner, as long as she isn't ignored. Quite in contrast to the sweet innocent charm of the only slighty older Amabel who is also but one year old. Anyone interested in adopting one of these two adorable toddlers can contact Mes Uryella Firabi.

Don't forget to @junk all the things you don't need or have excess of. Also: spill, smash, shoo, groupall, etc. are all great commands to further help our DB bloat and assist the game as much as we can.
